So who else is back to the WW routine in January?

I lost weight slowly and steadily on the 'filling and healthy' ww plan last year. Lost 16lbs over 16 weeks and I am back within my gold buffer zone but not quite where I'd like to be yet. Have had a couple of weeks off over christmas but planning to weigh in on Monday at my meeting...which I expecte will be rammed!
I also need to increase the exercise as that waned a bit in December.

Hope to have some company on this board for the new year. What are your aims?

I feel robbed. Robbed of crumpets. Not that I can get them here anyway even if I was following the UK plan.

Hopelass · 19/01/2015 19:41

Never done a link before but here goes: should be the list of free food for f&h days.

I'm traumatised and am developing a serious case of plan envy.

Loads of that isn't free here; bacon meddalions, baked beans, crumpets, brown bread, salmon, milk, tinned fruit and several of the cuts of meat.

The only thing I can see on my list which isn't on yours is cornflakes, muesli (without fruit or nuts) and pumpernickel bread.

Hopelass · 19/01/2015 20:03

Aw sorry hedgehogs Sad didn't mean to make you envious. Bacon medallions are overrated and over priced! I just get normal back bacon and cut the fat off!

HedgehogsDontBite · 19/01/2015 20:08

Don't worry, it just means DH is going to have to book a weekend away in the UK for me. :o

Hopelass · 19/01/2015 20:10

Brill, crumpets are definitely enough of an excuse for a weekend away Wink

BackToTheFuschia · 19/01/2015 22:36

I don't point the purple extra light laughing cow triangles Grin theres literally nothing in them.
I do f&h all the time, so I eat lots of crumpets, jacket potatoes, homemade chips and am very rarely hungry.
When I just don't quite feel satisfied I have a cup of tea and that seems to do it!

FixItUpChappie · 19/01/2015 23:19

Thanks Hopelass! I'll give it a try Smile

CrystalGlitz · 19/01/2015 23:26

Hello all, may I join you? Have signed up to WW online again. Just under a stone to lose from my increasingly curvy 5' frame Grin. Did WW successfully 10 yrs ago before wedding by going to group but found the public weigh in rather excruciating. Online problematic though, I can't log in to the mobile site or find meal suggestions easily via the app. New PP and F&H plans are confusing me too! Where am I going wrong?

colleysmill · 20/01/2015 13:14

So it's weigh-in night tonight for me and whilst I've been really good all week I've got a case of the serious weigh-in blues. I can weigh really light on my scales all week except on a Tuesday. What is that about????

Not feeling very confident at all!

Rainicorn · 20/01/2015 18:16

Good luck Colley.

Crystal, have you down downloaded the app?

I hate it when DH is off, I eat all the wrong foods. He is not very encouraging. Twat.

Twinklestar2 · 20/01/2015 18:38

Good luck colley and welcome crystal!

I too was sabotaged by my husband, he brought me chocolate yesterday grrrrr

ethelb · 20/01/2015 19:03

How did it go Colley?

Hopelass if it is any consolation pumpernickle is like a million points on the UK plan. I bought some weeny little squares of the stuff to have with smoked salmon and it was one of the most heavy pointed meals I have ever tracked!

Rainicorn · 20/01/2015 20:10

Speaking of chocolate, I've just had an email from Hotel Chocolat. Sabotage!

My downfall is baked savouries. Today was chicken curry pies from Morrisons. I was an utter pig and had two, 21 points later...

I've been swimming tonight though and got four points back, and still within my points anyway. Had a light tea (read salad) and will have some fruit and popcorn later if I want a snack.

colleysmill · 20/01/2015 20:20

It was okay although I would be lying if I said I wasn't a bit disappointed tbh. I'm feeling bit disillusioned and unmotivated

Rainicorn · 20/01/2015 20:45

Did you lose?

colleysmill · 20/01/2015 21:15

Pound and a half - but given I gained a pound last week so only half a pound in the grand scheme of things.

I expect too much I think. I was hoping for at least two pounds.

tunaandcheesesandwich · 20/01/2015 21:37

This thread has really motivated me and I'd like to join in! I'm starting at WW tomorrow, I've got my first meeting in the morning, and I'd like to lose 10 pounds. So I'll check in tomorrow evening!

Twinklestar2 · 20/01/2015 21:37

Well done colleys and good luck for next week Grin

CrystalGlitz · 20/01/2015 21:39

Rainicorn I do have the app but find it a bit limited - I guess I need to spend more time finding my way around it. I've found more recipes today though by asking via the in-app chat. How do you all use the app? Do you prefer it to the desktop version (I still can't log in to the wwmobile site)?

GatoradeMeBitch · 20/01/2015 22:20

I've had a bad half week. I made a list of all the low point treats I can have - Maltesers, Wotsits, etc - then bought them all. They're all gone, and this morning my scales said I have gained a pound back... It's only my third meeting on Wednesday, I'll be so embarrassed to go from 7 pound loss (still don't know how that happened) to nothing or a gain. My big mistake was thinking that I had worked it all out in one week and didn't need to write the points down anymore.

So from Monday morning I have started using the exercise bike when I can, and cleaned up my diet. I think my problem was that I wasn't very motivated when I started this, it was more a spur of the moment thing. But I don't want to get into a cycle of post-meeting binge then three days of panicked dieting.

Rainicorn · 20/01/2015 23:18

I have an iPad and can't use the mobile site very wel, I prefer the app and then use safari for the forum.

Colley, don't be so hard on yourself. What's a typical day point wise?

Gator, I've been there with pointed treats, good for you for seeing the error of your ways.

Twinklestar2 · 21/01/2015 06:26

Gator I did that too. I lost 5 at the beginning of the year but then had a day off for my birthday which turned into a week and a 2lb gain. Just get back on track Smile

colleysmill · 21/01/2015 06:42

I'm on 26 points a day but I tend to do filling and healthy and generally I do use all my additional 49. I earnt 26 activity points last week.

So the plan this week is to up the activity points and aim for 35 and maybe watch the portion size on carbs like potatoes, rice and pasta (although we tend to eat whole wheat bulgur wheat as an alternative carb to rice and we only have pasta once a week) and maybe watch the portion sizes generally.

If I can break through that first stone mark I think I'll feel a bit better -that's one pound away - and then my 10% mark (4.5 pounds away). Goal just seems a looonnnng way away.

Twinklestar2 · 21/01/2015 08:28

That's a good aim colley, I'm sure you'll do it Smile
