So who else is back to the WW routine in January?

I lost weight slowly and steadily on the 'filling and healthy' ww plan last year. Lost 16lbs over 16 weeks and I am back within my gold buffer zone but not quite where I'd like to be yet. Have had a couple of weeks off over christmas but planning to weigh in on Monday at my meeting...which I expecte will be rammed!
I also need to increase the exercise as that waned a bit in December.

Hope to have some company on this board for the new year. What are your aims?

But I am not quitting. Not this time. I've come too far to give up now.

Rainicorn · 10/02/2015 09:22

A sleepless week is enough for anyone to fall off the WW wagon. Good luck Colley.

I weighed myself this morning and 2lb lower than yesterday, so definitely have had a loss this week but water retention with AF not showing the loss. Not going to weigh myself until Monday now, just wanted to make sure I wasn't lying to myself haha.

PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom · 10/02/2015 09:30

God yes. I have a horrifically non sleeping baby and am permanently fighting the urge to mainline sugar. This is why, 9 months on, I have barely shifted any weight.

My sympathies Flowers

SomewhereIBelong · 10/02/2015 10:10

mmmm and thanks for the ideas - poached egg for lunch today I think... had weetabix for breakfast - didn't fill me up at all Sad

colleysmill · 10/02/2015 11:40

The worst thing is he used to sleepuntil we weaned him but that's a whole other thread! Last week has been particularly awful though. It's a good job he is a cutie Grin

It's funny I've gone right off cereal for breakfast - I get right hungry mid morning but an egg seems to power me through til lunch :)

HedgehogsDontBite · 10/02/2015 15:19

Did anyone else watch the Horizon episodes on weight, genetics and dieting? It's well worth a watch if you get the chance.

Goldensunnydays81 · 11/02/2015 05:04

Hello
Am thinking about coming to join you as I need to lose a lot of weight Confused since January have quit sugar and lost 10lb so far but have still been eating far to much of the wrong savoury stuff!! Have kind of given myself a free pass if it has no sugar in it Hmm so feel like need a bit more structure!! So do you think I will be ok with being sugar free and following weight watchers? Is anyone any doing this?
Thank you!!

Twinklestar2 · 11/02/2015 07:58

1lb off this week... Getting there slowly!

MagratsHair · 11/02/2015 12:15

2lb on this week.

Bugger.

Miffytastic · 11/02/2015 13:07

somewhere I wonder if that would expain why my WW meeting was so quiet this week.

Goldensunnydays - I don't see why not. you can choose what you eat on PP. I'm not that good at going sugar free but you've just prompted me to look up 'sugar free porridge toppings' as I do have a bad habit of a big dollop of golden syrupn on my daily oats.

Magrats - me too :( I'm blaming the tasty flapjack DH made that I ate most. DD2's birthday parites this week aren't helping me stay on teh straight and narrow but I really need to get back into my free zone - leader didn't make me pay for being 1/2 lb over but I don't think she will let me get away with it every week....

got rid of another 2lb! That was over 2 weeks, since I had a cold last week, but 9lb this year so far....

feels good - especially when the leader got me to carry a bag of magazines through to the meeting room - it was really heavy - and she said "that was 9lb, you used to carry that everywhere, all day..."

she really motivates!

scoobdoob · 11/02/2015 13:48

Hi all. Some help if you could please. I have joined online but struggling to get my head around it all. I mainly chose ww as they have been advertising different plans.
I am a vegetarian so was looking to follow this. But I can't seem to see anything other than I follow normal pro points but eat vegetarian food??
I think I was expecting a structured diet plan. Maybe like filling and healthy but for veggie days.
Not sure if this makes sense but anyone could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.
Have had the membership a week now and not yet managed a "good" day Blush

SomewhereIBelong · 11/02/2015 14:01

The idea is you can do whatever days fit you - so veggie days can either be pro-pointed OR filling and healthy where you only need to point the non filling and healthy bits from the weekly allowance...

the "your way" bits seem to be just ways of eating that you can dip into when you need to change it up a bit, when you have got into habits and need to try something new - but ALL the "your way" options are underpinned by Pro-points and filling-and-healthy.

So veg days will be mainly filling and healthy but you would have to point any cheese etc.. Or you could point it all with an eye on portion size if you tend to eat too much.

PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom · 11/02/2015 14:09

There isn't really a 'plan' as such. If you printed the filling and healthy list you can eat off that and just ignore the meat/fish?

poorpaws · 11/02/2015 16:18

I'm really really struggling. I lost 4lbs at the beginning of the year and since then it's been gain a pound lose a pound yo-yoing. I feel very disheartened today but won't give up. Anyone else struggling? I don't want sympathy I want an extra large kick up the bottom and a piece of chocolate cake

Rainicorn · 11/02/2015 17:58

Scoop, here is the F&H list. You can have as much as you like of anything in that list. You will also have 49 PP to be used throughout the week, works out 7 a day if you want to use them daily, or save them up.

I prefer to point my food daily as I need portion control rather than healthier foods. With points you get x amount of points per day, recommended to use them all and you also get 49 weeklies to use for those extras or treats you want. It is easy once you get your head around it.

Well done on the losses Twinkle and Something.

For those losing faith, take it a day at a time. Do a F&H day. Eat a big bar of chocolate and count it in your weeklies rather than dailies. Have a cup of tea and some biscuits to dunk in. Just don't give up. I've been yoyo dieting for years, I now have to lose weight for an operation, it's not worth giving up just yet.

Rainicorn · 11/02/2015 17:58

*Somewhere, not Something.

HedgehogsDontBite · 11/02/2015 18:40

My home page is the Swedish one, but I'd expect it to be fairly similar to the uk one. One of the drop down tabs at the top has the various 'meal plan' options. If you click on the vegetarian one it brings up 'the plan', which is several breakfasts to choose from and likewise for lunches and dinners. There must be something similar on the UK one as the Swedish one is the poor relative. Is that what you're after Scoob?

SomewhereIBelong · 12/02/2015 10:22

it is the same in the UK one Hedgehogs...

My find of the week is Unsweetened almond milk... only a third of the points of semi-skimmed (1PP for 200ml) and really lovely in my Alpen, so a nice point saver for me...

PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom · 12/02/2015 10:49

The Baby is ill. I have had about three hours' sleep and spent the morning mainlining chocolate buttons.Blush

SomewhereIBelong · 12/02/2015 12:07

Ouch Penguins - 3 hours sleep - I do not envy you.... at least it is buttons, not Mars bars... Smile hope things settle down and baby gets better soon.

PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom · 12/02/2015 13:42

Today is a write off. Bread, chocolate, cheese. Think I'll give myself a break though.

GatoradeMeBitch · 12/02/2015 14:00

I've maintained, so an 11lb loss in 5 weeks. I'm okay with that, considering I had another bad week. I'm over my tantrum from last week too! Thanks for your advice. I think I was expecting too much. My group leader is nice and very encouraging and the people in the group aren't unfriendly either. To be honest I haven't exactly gone out of my way to smile at people or even make eye contact... I feel embarrassed when I walk in to the meeting and that continues until I leave. I don't even know why. I'm clearly fat, so at least it looks like I'm trying to do something about it! I think I was just looking for reasons to throw in the towel. My group leader can only do so much - she can't come to my house and take the cream cakes and pizza out of my mouth! I know what I need to do to lose weight, I just have to get on and do it.

Perhaps I'm just too disorganized to count points properly. I find myself guessing a lot. I think I'll try and follow the points until Sunday (because there are still junk foody type things I want to eat) then switch to the Filling and Healthy for a week and see how I go on that. Though - Octopus? Vension? Lambs heart? I bet that list will be halved by the time I cross off everything I won't eat! Grin

SomewhereIBelong · 12/02/2015 14:21

oooo - don't discount venison - it is deeeelish! You sound a bit more positive Gator... and maintaining is better than gaining, that's for sure!

11lb in 5 weeks is fantastic!!

I have butterflies in my stomach and will not be able to eat for the rest of the month - I HAVE A JOB INTERVIEW!! on the 24th. Sent my (really thin) CV on spec. to a place I always fancied working small fabric shop last night and they emailed me this morning to ask me to come in for an interview.

I am sat here wibbling like jelly - in more ways than one! Grin

GatoradeMeBitch · 12/02/2015 15:08

Mm, I'm not sure about eating Rudolph. I'm a very safe eater. Maybe if I exhaust all other options Grin

Congrats on the job interview!! Best of luck Smile
