So who else is back to the WW routine in January?

I lost weight slowly and steadily on the 'filling and healthy' ww plan last year. Lost 16lbs over 16 weeks and I am back within my gold buffer zone but not quite where I'd like to be yet. Have had a couple of weeks off over christmas but planning to weigh in on Monday at my meeting...which I expecte will be rammed!
I also need to increase the exercise as that waned a bit in December.

Hope to have some company on this board for the new year. What are your aims?

I've changed my weigh in day to a Sunday. That way if I mess up at the buffet (Friday and Saturday) I get a fresh start the next day rather than it hanging over me all week.

SomewhereIBelong · 06/02/2015 21:15

I ended up having a Tescos 11pp pointed curry in the end today as I didn't trust myself not to go for a huge portion of anything else I might cook.. it was filling and nice, so I had good luck making that choice!

colleysmill · 06/02/2015 21:26

Evening all. I've eaten far too many biscuits today for it to ever count as a good day.

I did use the new(ish) garlic and herb bake in bag ww packet last night with chicken, veg and new potatoes. It was pretty tasty (dh liked it!) although the kids turned their noses up at the leftovers today.

Had stir fry tonight which was nice but not my favourite tbh

hevs10593 · 07/02/2015 12:02

I second that colleysmill, I ate half a pack of choc digestives again! Back on track today I think!

HedgehogsDontBite · 07/02/2015 12:09

Are you eating biscuits because you're skipping meals?

hevs10593 · 07/02/2015 12:31

No just general greed ate all my dailies but just really craved chocolate

hevs10593 · 07/02/2015 12:39

Who's skipping meals?

HedgehogsDontBite · 07/02/2015 12:48

Nobody as far as I know. I just wondered if eating too many biscuits was connected to low blood sugar. I find it hardest to control my eating if I've missed a meal or if it's really delayed.

hevs10593 · 07/02/2015 12:57

To be fair I got in late from work and tea took ages (much later than normal) and I'd been on a trip outdoors all day. Could probably have been down to that

Rainicorn · 07/02/2015 20:58

I feel like a fat pig. I had this today, didn't eat it all though, had half as shared with DH.

Not even going to try point it. Have 4 weeklies left and only had 7 pp beforehand, so not to worried.

Will stay withing my pp tomorrow.

Wrt biscuits, I really need to stay away from them, mthey are my go to comfort food. Cup of tea and a whole half a packet of digestives. I did have 5 last week and skipped lunch because of it, but made sure I had fruit for snacking so didn't go hungry.

I am loaded with cold, and due on, I reeeeeeealy need something stodgy.

my cold is going now - I know how you feel... don't know if I will have lost or not this week - DH was digging in the cupboard and found a whole tub of Heros left over from Christmas!! I had 10 pp of chocolate last night - avoided the caramel ones since they are 2pp!! Blush but it did feel good...

HedgehogsDontBite · 08/02/2015 08:40

I lost 3 lb this week. That's 10 lb in total so far.

SomewhereIBelong · 08/02/2015 08:55

that is brilliant - well done Hedgehogs

Rainicorn · 08/02/2015 09:10

Well done hedgehogs.

Rainicorn · 08/02/2015 21:06

AF has arrived today :( Feel so bloated and bleurgh. Might forego my WI tomorrow as know it will be wrong.

Rainicorn · 09/02/2015 10:32

According to my scales I have put 3lb on. Going to input I've stayed the same as no way have I out that on in actual weight. All bloated and icky with AF and head cold.

I haven't strayed from my points last week, so no way is it weight I've put on.

SomewhereIBelong · 09/02/2015 10:42

Happens that way with me too Rain - water retention round period time really skews the weigh in... don't let it get you down - I would go to weigh in anyway if it wasn't for the cold on top of it, if your body reacts this way, then hey ho it is something you have to live with - the general weight loss graph is going downwards anyhow, even with a one week in four blip....

Head colds and stuffy meetings do not go well together for me.

Rainicorn · 09/02/2015 10:46

Thanks Somewhere.

I don't go to meetings and just doing it online and weighing myself (on WW scales no less) every Monday morning. So definitely only counting this week as staying the same. Will have a loss next week hopefully.

SomewhereIBelong · 09/02/2015 12:37

ARGGGGGGGHHHHH - the thing I hate about pp and packaging statistics...

Had ravioli for tea - ASDA Italian Beef ravioli... using all the calculator stuff for 100g, and portion size 150g etc comes out as 8pp - nice evening meal points value with a couple of points of tomato/basil sauce...

THEN I read that the 100g is the COOKED weight, so use the half pack values - but have no idea what half a pack will actually weigh... anyhow - eventually do the weighing etc and it comes to 11PP per half pack... really gets on my nerves!!

PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom · 09/02/2015 12:47

That annoys me too.

But not as much as when I tried SW and you used up loads of 'syns' from something that was off plan even though most of the ingredients were free. So I stick with it as 'least bad'.

I am having a few H&F days to try and get me on the right track.

My scales can't decide whether I have lost 0.5kg or maintained this week, so going for 0.5kg, but that means I need to really crack on this week!!

poorpaws · 09/02/2015 21:58

My router broke this week so no internet access for five days.

I gained three quarters of a pound at Sunday weigh in with absolutely no idea how. I really really should have lost. This sent me into an eating frenzy last night and now I so regret it.

Well Done to those doing much better than I am.

SomewhereIBelong · 10/02/2015 07:23

we all have those days poorpaws otherwise we'd be able to diet easily on our own... just need to re-find the motivation, what made you start in the first place?

Every day you can start afresh.... (and one binge followed by a lean day can be like kick-starting weight-loss with a 5:2 type diet)

colleysmill · 10/02/2015 07:53

Ok normally it's my meeting day today but I've had a terrible week what with ds2 not sleeping and now he has a temperature and is generally miserable. I've not managed to do much exercise either which always makes me feel bleurgh.

I'm not feeling particularly brilliant myself (tired, coldy and more tired) and I just know if I go and I've gained (highly probable going by my scales) I will descend into "I'm rubbish I can't do this might as well give up and eat the contents of the fridge" mode.

So I'm going to start today as a fresh start ( new week and all that) and get back on plan.

SomewhereIBelong · 10/02/2015 08:00

I read somewhere it is peak quitting week for new year resolutions... sounds like we are all suffering some kind of "wall" - maybe it will get better next week.

colleysmill · 10/02/2015 08:02

It's been all too easy to slip back into bad habits when faced with a non sleeping child! I'm just going to write last week off and not dwell on it and get back on it today :)

Breakfast is poached egg on sandwich thins - a better start!
