So who else is back to the WW routine in January?

I lost weight slowly and steadily on the 'filling and healthy' ww plan last year. Lost 16lbs over 16 weeks and I am back within my gold buffer zone but not quite where I'd like to be yet. Have had a couple of weeks off over christmas but planning to weigh in on Monday at my meeting...which I expecte will be rammed!
I also need to increase the exercise as that waned a bit in December.

Hope to have some company on this board for the new year. What are your aims?

I find it can help to see what other people eat too (for me especially people used to overeating.. people with a lot to lose)

So today for instance I have had
Bfast : 2 slices of toast (proper Warbuton's farmhouse loaf at 5pp for 2 slices) 1 with peanut butter, 1 with marmite- 8pp kept me full from 8.30 til 12.30

Lunch: Heinz scotch broth Soup with bread - 6pp

Snacks : jelly and pineapple, blueberries, 2 sugar free polos - 0pp

Dinner will be Sausages 6PP (I like "proper" sausages) pasta 5pp and dolmio 3pp and loads of veg 0pp

So 28pp - I have 32 dailies so can have 4PP worth of snacks OR a bit of cheese on top of my pasta making a pasta bake.. or both and use some weeklies.

Milk for my tea should be counted there, but I always just make sure I keep 20 weeklies for it.

Gator I know all about self sabotage! Its a killer & I have no answers :( I find though that if start doing something differently (like F&H instead of pointing) then it gets me looking at what I'm eating & gets me interested again as its not same old same old.

If your meeting is shit then can you go to another one with a different leader? The leader will make or break a meeting. Mine never sells anything at all, (eg when talking about kitchen scales she says that any ones will do, she doesn't push the WW ones) & she likes her ale & knows all the propoints of every alcoholic drink going. She's ace & makes us laugh. If you live near Coventry then pm me & I'll tell you which meeting it is :)

Filling & Healthy going well today :)

Breakfast - 1 slice WW brown bread, a couple of tablespoons of baked beans & some mushrooms fried in 1tsp oil out of the F&H daily allowance. Coffee with sweetener & 1% milk.

Lunch - 2 boiled eggs, some F&H potato salad I made yesterday & a whole load of lettuce/cucumber/tomatos with salad cream, salt & black pepper.

Dinner - will be chicken kashmiri & brown rice from the Simple Start recipe pack plus an orange crunch bar from the meeting.

Hoping for a loss on Wednesday morning!

I only do online too. My support is this thread and DH. The lady who runs the local meetings is lovely but my Swedish isn't good enough so I can't keep up. Same with the WW online forum.

Currently I'm having chocolate and biscuits for my snacks because I have loads left from Christmas and my points allow it. I tend to stick to the ww quick start menu plan for meals, which leaves 12 points plus weeklies for snacks.

PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom · 02/02/2015 14:40

Weigh in day for me today. 80.3kg.

I actually don't find it hard to stay in my points when I try properly as I'm still breastfeeding so I get extra. But I just lose motivation. I know I've not got as much to lose as some of you, but it's more than I've ever had to lose before and I keep working out just how looooong it is going to take.

Still, onwards and upwards. Well done on the losses.

Rainicorn · 02/02/2015 16:55

Motivation is definitely a recurring downfall for everyone

My food today:

Breakfast 3PP Ryvita and 2 extra light blue cheese triangles

Snack 0PP mango

Dinner 8PP Ryvita and cottage cheese, salad with dressing, banana, popcorn

Tea 21PP (although would be 0PP F&H) tuna and sweet corn pasta. Might readjust as pasta pp seems very high at 14PP

Still have 4PP left for snack so might have 2 digestives.

Rainicorn · 02/02/2015 17:06

Revised 18PP for tea.

HedgehogsDontBite · 02/02/2015 17:23

Today's for me:

Breakfast: 2 crispbreads, lettuce, half an avocado, half a dl prawns, lemon juice and 1 dl natural yogurt with blueberries. 7pp

Lunch: 2 slices of bread, half tin of tuna mixed with 2 tablespoons soft cheese and dill, lettuce and cucumber. 8pp

Dinner: Rice, chicken, onion, green beans, ginger, garlic and orange juice all cooked in one pot. 6pp

Snack: 3 chocolate biscuits and a banana 8pp

6pp left for later.

HedgehogsDontBite · 02/02/2015 17:52

That dinner didn't sound too great but it was delicious. A really yummy risotto.

SomewhereIBelong · 02/02/2015 18:23

had my sausage pasta bake and amazed myself - I did not serve myself as much as I would have and made sure it had more veg than sausage...

my brain is actually starting to act as if I'm trying to lose weight now... half the battle...

FixItUpChappie · 02/02/2015 19:54

Almost 4lbs down this week despite by kebab donair mishandling and a faujita lunch (albeit butter/cheese/sour cream free). I was in the doldrums over 0.4, 0.6 losses so this is very motivating Grin.

I have so much weight to lose I can't tell yet but onward and upward.

Yesterday:

-Quaker banana nut oatmeal - breakfast
-chicken wrap with hummus, yellow pepper and tatziki - Lunch
-4 points worth of young dried coconut and 2 x 1pt WW chocolates - snack
-vegan burger on whole wheat bun with bit of avocado, a pinapple ring and a brush of teryaki sauce
-tea, another 1pt WW chocolate

Am I the only one who eats quite a few WW chocolates? I am trying not to bust myself about it provided its within my points.

hevs10593 · 02/02/2015 20:18

What kind of weight watchers chocolate is it?

I have a few bars there handy to drop in your handbag for a quick fix and 2pp per bar.

Rainicorn · 02/02/2015 21:13

Don't go to meetings, so unsure what the WW chocolates are.

Just had a cream egg pudding thing 4PP but was yum.

WTG on the almost 4lb Chappie :)

FixItUpChappie · 02/02/2015 22:18

Thanks Smile I am motivated to scorn future donair runs (but to give in every so often).

I'm not in the UK and they sell English Toffee 1pt chocolates at my local grocery store. They really help me feel like I'm not "dieting" but probably they are not assisting in changing my behaviour too much IYKWIM?

Twinklestar2 · 02/02/2015 22:22

I lost a pound but it should've been more as I did well all week then had a food filled weekend! Never mind, a pound is still good!

SomewhereIBelong · 03/02/2015 07:29

well done Chappie and Twinkle.... I'm hoping for a pound or 2 this week - weigh in on Wednesday - but it's that time of the month and I suffer from water retention, so hopefully will lose some this week - bonus is it will probably show better next week...

poorpaws · 03/02/2015 12:16

Well that was a lot of work all week for three quarters of a pound.

Chappie I eat lots of ww chocolate bars at least 3 a day. It was chocolate that made me gain most of my weight so I couldn't give it up and I love the rich toffee bars. When it was on offer in November I bought a very embarrassing amount and am getting near the end of my stash now.

Well done with all the losses I really have to catch up.

MagratsHair · 03/02/2015 12:37

poorpaws have you lost 3/4lb? Well done, a loss is still a loss!

I buy the Orange Crunch & the Mint Crunch bars every week & have between 1-2 per day.

SomewhereIBelong · 03/02/2015 12:57

3/4 lb is s good loss... slow and steady is the BEST way to go,

I don't go for the choc bars - I'm a savoury type - but the WW savoury stuff is SO bland. Snack a jacks and quavers at 2pp per pack are my go to snacks right now.

PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom · 03/02/2015 13:34

I am the same. Cheese is my nemesis.Blush

MagratsHair · 03/02/2015 13:38

I look at it like this, if I get on the scales & have only lost 0.5lb then I'm disappointed & I always know what has interfered with weight loss greed Grin

But being disappointed won't help so I think that not only have I lost x amount PLUS this 0.5lb, had I not come to WW in the first place & carried on as I was doing before I would now be at least 2 stone heavier than my start weight.

Its not an 'oh dear its only 0.5lb that's so shit; its a 'I've lost 0.5lb this week, its a loss yay me'.

:)

Rainicorn · 03/02/2015 15:58

Mmmmmm cheese. I miss cheese. Used to have a whole wedge blue cheese and crackers every Sunday for my supper.

I'm going to aqua aerobics tonight. Slightly nervous I'm going to look like a hippo masquerading as a synchronised swimmer but still going to give it a go.

Well done on the losses. A loss is a loss, no matter how small.

SomewhereIBelong · 03/02/2015 16:24

cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese.... I miss big lumps of cheese too.

but I will be having a teeny bit grated over nachos with spicy chilli and salsa tonight for my tea... 12pp

PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom · 03/02/2015 16:28

I use basically all my breastfeeding points on cheeeese.

I had to do DD1 a packed breakfast this morning for a school trip and panic bought pain au chocolat. Then ate one. The good news is I ate one, not two, and I had zero point vegetable soup as the main part of my lunch, so provided I'm careful I'll still stay within my daily points. I see that as a small victory.

HedgehogsDontBite · 03/02/2015 16:35

There's a dairy near me with a shop and cafe. The cafe has an all you can eat cheese buffet. It's the most amazing thing on the entire planet. That will be my birthday treat.

Rainicorn · 03/02/2015 19:07

Cheese buffet you say? And where this oasis of cheesiness?
