Heels99 · 05/08/2014 10:57

Great, I had a great start to the year and it has all gone to pot. Not looking back, looking forward. Started yesterday.

Had 3 weeks off as on holidays and have put on 2lbs :( back to it tomorrow. Lost a stone and have 1.5st to go before I go on a once in a lifetime cruise at end off October.
Gym tonight and points tomorrow.
I am originally from South Derbyshire too ! Won't say the village but begins with w and has a power station :)

SouthDerbyshireMamma · 05/08/2014 13:08

Ahhh said village is very close to the village beginning with H where I live Smile

Putting on 2lbs over 3 weeks whilst on holiday isn't bad. You'll soon shift that Ik26.

Heels 99 have you got a decent amount of points? I read I'll get extra points as i'm still breastfeeding.....bonus!

lk26 · 05/08/2014 13:10

I went to hatton school many years ago.
Sorry going of diet topic !

mopsytop · 05/08/2014 14:58

I'm 22+ weeks preg so can't do points but want to do the no count, as it is essentially just healthy eating. Don't want to get too out of hand and it keeps me from eating crap. I'll use extra points for cheese, full fat yogurt etc for proper calcium. So can I join your thread?

MercuryRising · 07/08/2014 22:29

I rejoined on Monday. I am now the heaviest I have been Sad and after people close to my family suffering ill health recently I am determined this will be the time I finally get to goal!

I have been doing f and h and feel better for eating healthier already.

50KnockingonabiT · 08/08/2014 22:41

I rejoined for the umpteeth time today. At my heaviest. Got to do it this time, hoping to lose 2 stone at least

Good luck

LapsedTwentysomething · 09/08/2014 16:09

I started online a week ago today and though I haven't really tried I've lost 3lbs. Happy with that.

I joined a running club in spring and can now run 5k without stopping ... so of course I've just entered a 10k race in November. I'll be running at least twice a week and maybe an extra one on a treadmill, as well as alternating two spin and one kettles class one week with two kettles and one spin the next. It helps that I have kettles and a couple of DVDs at home! I'll also try to fit in some yoga/Pilates/barre work. Hard to find the mojo sometimes but I absolutely love the high I get from exercise.

JerseySpud · 09/08/2014 19:59

Im rejoining on Saturday if i can come join in.

Laymizzrarb · 10/08/2014 12:01

Another one here! I lost a stone with WW last year, then stopped. Mercifully I only put on 4 lbs since last December. Had lost another stone since June, then went to a famous seaside resort for the weekend and totally went wild.
So I'm about 2 stone lighter than last summer, but still need to lose the weight of a large Rottweiler !

Going on on holiday in November, so would like to lose a couple of stones by then, at least!

I am doing PPoints, using the app.
Good luck everyone!

MercuryRising · 11/08/2014 20:27

I had my first weigh in tonight and lost 3 pounds Grin How has everybody else got on?x

mopsytop · 11/08/2014 21:03

Nice work Mercury! As I'm pregnant I'm not currently doing active weight loss but trying to keep weight gain to a minimum ... nearly 24 weeks and have so far put on 12lbs. Want to keep it to max 1st 7 by 40 weeks. So I need to be really healthy!

MercuryRising · 12/08/2014 08:44

Thank you Mopsy. Is this your first pregnancy?

mopsytop · 12/08/2014 08:57

No second. I was v lazy after first one and never bothered losing extra weight (1.5 stone) so after this one it has to go! So I thought easier to get into good habits now and try not to put too much on...

MercuryRising · 12/08/2014 09:27

That is so commendable. I gained over 3 stone with each of mine. I lost it after each, but it would have been much easier if I had eaten sensibly instead of gorging on ice cream for 9 months Blush

mopsytop · 12/08/2014 09:37

Well, I need to stick to it! I have been buying a lot of apples and nectarines as easy and sweet snacks when I feel my willpower wavering. But I still eat too much chocolate!

MercuryRising · 12/08/2014 11:06

I eat tinned peaches and natural yogurt if I need a sugar hit. Im feeling determined after starting and quitting far too often. Fingers crossed this time the weight comes off andcstays off Smile

mopsytop · 12/08/2014 11:09

I have the feeling I need to basically be on WW forever for it to work. Have used it v successfully in the past but once I stop counting, the weight comes back on (that's how they make their money, of course)

Laymizzrarb · 12/08/2014 12:22

Dime bars are my lifesavers. 4 pp, and I have one EVERY day! Another sweet hit idea if you happen to have a George Foreskin Grill is to get two slices of weightwatchers bread (1pp per slice) spray one side of the bread with frylight, and make super this is the side next to the grill. Fill the sandwich with sliced banana, and close the grill for 3-4 minutes.
Another sweet hit can be had with those Pink n White mallow wafers. They are 1pp each, and if you put them in the microwave for 20 seconds they puff up and go all chewy!

MyFairyKing · 12/08/2014 21:46

I started on Saturday; went to my first group which I didn't love to be honest but I'm going to stick it out. I've been calorie counting and losing weight successfully but felt I needed something more structured. I still have a long way to go.

mopsytop · 12/08/2014 21:51

Fairy I think actually going to a group really does help to motivate. Stick yours out for another few weeks and if you still don't like it, maybe try another? WW usually has several.options. I've found in the past that the group leader makes a big difference. If they're patronising or useless, I tend to move group!

mopsytop · 12/08/2014 21:52

Laymizz pink and whites are great, as is sugar free jelly!

MyFairyKing · 13/08/2014 08:21

mopsy I have a 12 week referral from the GP, so not sure how easy it is to change groups but I am going to ask. I didn't like the leader very much; she kept talking about bikinis and smaller clothes sizes. I just want to be healthy and not at risk of weight related problems! I'd be lying if I said I don't care about how I look but I'm there to ensure that I tackle this problem while I'm youngish and motivated and before it leads to health problems.
