I am on day 1 of taking rybelsus

I got my prescription from Health Express, for £139 (I'm not referring, just information)

I'm 14st 7lbs and 5ft 7.5inches

Took tablet at 0630 when I woke up

Feel free to join in here, I will try to update weekly losses (fingers crossed)

My 7mg came today, can breath a sigh of relief for another month!! I have had no email re lack of stock supplies and my order was the cheapest I’ve had it this time!

My only thing now is I can eat a lot more food 😵‍💫 Before I’d be stuffed after the smallest meal but now am going back for seconds! I can’t believe you’ve been off for a week and still lost 5lbs @Doggymummar thats great! I don’t know if my hunger levels are because I’ve skipped more tablets recently but if you are still losing then it can’t be!

SilkySuky · 09/08/2023 07:09

Ooh @BangingOn that's very interesting that the 6-8 week timeframe has been mentioned to you too! I'm being wildly optimistic here, but what if the production was amped up when the first Oz shortages happened in 2022?

They were aiming for wegovy to be released this year, after all?

Tiny glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel maybe?

BangingOn · 09/08/2023 07:38

I did some frantic Googling last night and also found September mentioned as a timeframe for improved supply in an EU document, although it did still say 2024 for normal supply.

BangingOn · 09/08/2023 07:40

Sorry, European Medicine Agency https://www.ema.europa.eu/en/documents/shortage/shortage-rybelsus-semaglutide-supply-shortage_en.pdf

”In addition, the company that holds the marketing authorisation for Rybelsus will increase the packaging capacity in August 2023 to increase supplies and address demand from September 2023 onwards.“

Aforementioned shorts which were tight when I ordered them, then I posted about them fitting perfectly...now they are falling down! Might need to invest in some belts lickety split 😂

I'm still amazed at how this med controls my hunger. I've been feeling snacky all afternoon but haven't had the strong compulsions to eat the snacks - in fact my laziness is outweighing my want to go to the kitchen and load up!

Pineapplepansy · 09/08/2023 22:23

That's great about the shorts @JaffacakeJanine - sounds like you need to go shopping again!

I have found I have no interest in chocolate/sugar any more which is great as it's previously been a constant thorn in my side. I also think sugar withdrawal was contributing to the headaches I was getting as they seem to have gone away now.

I'm really glad everyone is getting their prescriptions still but I'm confused as I thought these private clinics were no longer allowed to prescribe to people without diabetes and yet they seem to be continuing to do so.

Cjgdjkf · 10/08/2023 07:43

Haha @JaffacakeJanine thats great news! I suffered the same yesterday! I was in a dress and running with my kids to the station and my pants were falling down 🤣🤣🤣 Was a good feeling (apart from worrying about it lol)

@Pineapplepansy this is me, was such a choc eater but no interest anymore! It’s liberating!! I think private clinics are ignoring that advice for current patients, I had no word about low stick problems from Numan and my 7mg was delivered yesterday (and with a discount!) which I’m happy about, another month!

Doggymummar · 10/08/2023 09:11

My email fro Numan said as I was established on the drug they would continue to prescribe whilst they could get stock, but they are closed to new patients. I'm am beginning to get a little stockpile, two months now.

BangingOn · 10/08/2023 09:39

I read that the guidance was no new private patients, which is what companies seem to be sticking to.

SilkySuky · 10/08/2023 10:26

Thanks @BangingOn for your research, the document about Rybelsus packaging being sped up in Aug 23 was very good news, hopefully that includes the UK.

@Doggymummar I'm going to try to do the same, I've got about 20 days stockpile and I'm going to try to stretch further, however day on, day off dosing experiments about a month ago did not go well and calorie counts started to creep up.

JaffacakeJanine · 11/08/2023 21:13

Unfortunately you can only order 1 at a time, but still means another month eh!

Londonlady365 · 12/08/2023 06:44

Good price too. I wonder if that means supply issues are easing. I am restricted as I don't want to submit a photo or have my GP informed.

Cjgdjkf · 12/08/2023 07:57

good spot @JaffacakeJanine unfortunately I’m the same as @Londonlady365 dont want my GP to know

SilkySuky · 12/08/2023 09:00

@JaffacakeJanine thanks for that, just managed to order 14mg, screen said 5 packs left. I told my GP a couple of months ago so no worries there. Phew! 1 more month woohoo!

Doggymummar · 12/08/2023 09:06

Thanks for the tip, 7 left when I just ordered. Hopefully is all ok

Doggymummar · 12/08/2023 09:07

Btw no questions asked about notifying GP, although mine knows anyway as I asked them to prescribe in march but they wouldnt

Cjgdjkf · 12/08/2023 10:43

@Doggymummar there’s a box that you have to provide email, contact number and address for GP, did you now have this?

Doggymummar · 12/08/2023 11:08

No that box didn't come up for me or if it did it wasn't mandatory

SilkySuky · 12/08/2023 12:26

@Cjgdjkf I did get that box, not sure if it was mandatory though.

Londonlady365 · 12/08/2023 14:15

Mine would go through if didn't but that was a few months ago so maybe they removed the requirement

Cjgdjkf · 14/08/2023 13:26

So I didn’t get any from rightangled as didn’t want to put GP details and it wouldn’t let me past the box without filling it out. Just ordered some from Quick Meds, pricey though at £244 but have ordered with them previously. I’m reading an article in daily Mail about fakes, and a warning to make sure the online pharmacy you are buying from is a ‘registered pharmacy’ and can be cross checked by looking online at the General Pharmaceutical Council. It also says regardless you should be avoiding any that are willing to provide it right now 🫣

Doggymummar · 14/08/2023 15:13

Weird, I didn't get that box at all. Mine arrive tomorrow maybe as I have used them before perhaps. I don't know any that are accepting new patients,

Londonlady365 · 14/08/2023 15:53

I checked mine from slimming4u and its chemist4u who don't sell rybelsus.
Oh course there is no guarantee a dodgy site doesn't use a registered chemist number as a fake but you would hope they would be shut down quickly.
Fakes are usually easy to spot if you compare to genuine. Ink quality, batch codes and general poor quality of packaging.

JaffacakeJanine · 14/08/2023 16:28

Urghh I just got an email from Rightangled saying they had an issue with the system and in fact they do not have any stock at present :( I've asked them to keep me on file for when more arrives. Really sorry if this happens to the rest of you as I did send the link over!
