I got my prescription from Health Express, for £139 (I'm not referring, just information)

I'm 14st 7lbs and 5ft 7.5inches

Took tablet at 0630 when I woke up

Feel free to join in here, I will try to update weekly losses (fingers crossed)

Oooooh what's rybelsus? I could defo do with shredding a few stone.... Ben looking into weight loss surgery but it seems so final and scary. Maybe I should try something else first.

RybelsusDay1x20MAR23 · 20/03/2023 13:10

It's the tablet form of ozempic, semaglutide - originally developed for diabetes, but shown to assist weight loss

Hi! I've took my first this morning (21/3/23) at 7am, keeping them next to my bed so first thing, same as you.
Did you get any initial side effects? I'm being hyper alert to what my body is doing, don't think anything as yet. I thought a little nausea but maybe not. I got mine from the same place - thinking about moving to the ozempic jab after the first month possibly, not sure. Will see how these go. Why did you choose tablets over the jab?
I'm 5'4" 12st5lb so bmi of 29 ish but they still prescribed them.

day 2 - no affect just yet

took my tablet at 440am when I woke up, maybe that was too early? (I went back to sleep after)

didn't have my usual half bottle of wine last night, but that was because I had planned it

Was yours private or nhs prescrition?

Mine's private through healthcare express.
Fingers crossed for no side effects then! Looking food so far - has it changed whether you're hungry/thinking about food as much? I'm hoping (even if it's a bit psychological) that it'll make me lose my food focus!

RybelsusDay1x20MAR23 · 22/03/2023 10:52

Day 3,
Not noticed much change on appetite

Slight heartburn, but not bad enough that it's definitely a side affect, could just be 'normal'

Scales were
14 6.8
14 5.6
14 4.8

But....I haven't been drinking my usual half bottle of wine a night...

How much do you get for your £139?

I'm currently taking saxenda

How are you getting on with the rybelsus OP? I'm on day 5 and down 5lbs which is obviously water weight but not eating above 1000 cals a day which I know is too low. Appetite is gone, I'm terrified of getting the shits or throwing up so seem to be avoiding all food!

mylife8410 · 26/03/2023 22:18

Ok so I’m starting rebelsus tmw 27.3.23 I’m 13st.10 .. 5ft 6, I’m a little nervous, so glad I stumbled on this post, to feel like I’m on a journey with someone else and get advice if needed. Good luck 🤞🏼

RybelsusDay1x20MAR23 · 27/03/2023 10:51

OK, so weighed in this morning
And am 14 3.6, so have lost 2.9 lbs

I've also cut right back on my drinking wine, and had 2 nights instead of 7

RybelsusDay1x20MAR23 · 27/03/2023 10:51

Appetite hasn't moved much, but apparently this should happen when I move from 3mg to 7 / 14

OP posts:
RybelsusDay1x20MAR23 · 30/03/2023 22:20

When I started I was 14 stone 6.8lbs

Now I am 14 stone 3.2lbs

It's not a massive drop, but it is a drop, so will keep going, and see how the next set do, I have another 19 days first thougg

Dhdvl · 09/04/2023 10:16

How is it going I’m thinking of taking these to aid in the 4 stones I need to lose

RybelsusDay1x20MAR23 · 10/04/2023 23:20

So you're not really at weight loss in first month, more a getting used to it

I'm 3 weeks in and just under 6lbs lost
(Still a fair bit to go) and will use up my 3mg (which works out at not far from £5 a tablet) and the go on to 7mg (ordered)

Mine arrive tomorrow! I’ll join you 😁

Greensleevevssnotnose · 14/04/2023 15:02

I thought I would join you. I started month two today was a bit worried the jump to 7mg might bring back the nausea of the first week but so far nothing. I lost 16lb the first month but I was BMI 41 to start with I cant believe how big I got. Menopause added 4 stone but it's coming off nicely now. I haven't told anyone irl and it will be a while before anyone notices I think. Not dropped a dress size yet. Lol. It's very freeing not having to think about eating isn't it?

RybelsusDay1x20MAR23 · 14/04/2023 18:09

My order was meant to arrive yesterday but Royal Mail held it up

It has arrived today, I have 4 more 3mg to go and then hoping my appetite will be gone next week

I have read that some people don't want to drink alcohol either (my fingers are crossed) maybe @Greensleevevssnotnose you can keep us updated...

Hi, I’ve been lurking on another thread but found this one. Am 5 weeks in to taking the tablets, at first very minimal symptoms just minor heartburn on 3mg, Tuesday I changed up to 7mg and today I’ve been really sick. I’ve managed to keep two pieces of toast down but still feel super nauseous and worried I’ll be sick again. Did anyone else experience this moving up the dosage? If so did it last long as I feel like not taking my tablet tomorrow as can’t have another day like this. Gutted as it was going well :( TIA

Yes alcohol does not like me now, wine tated like vinegar. Last night I had a tiny gin in 500ml of tonic so that saves cals too. First day on 7mg yesterday and no side effects at all.

I moved to 7mg yesterday. No side effects but I read that you shouldn't lie down after taking it. With my 3mg I was taking it about 5am and then going back to sleep. I took the 7mg at about 7.30 am then sat up and read for a bit before getting up for a drink.

Ooh I didn’t know that about not lying down! I normally take it then get back into bed and also did the same this morning! Will take your advice tomorrow and see if it helps, thank you

Greensleevevssnotnose · 15/04/2023 09:58

Give it a go, and be careful what you eat. I'm low carb so wouldn't have had the issue you had with toast cos I don't eat bread but it recommends a bland diet. I had a curry last Saturday and the heartburn was real. Hope you have a better day today.
