Hi all. I ordered my month 2 from manual.com I’ve used them before for other medication. it seems like my order has progressed as they’ve asked me for a picture. I’ll let you guys know if I actually get my prescription.

in other news I skipped the pill today. I had a lot of food thoughts ended up ordering takeout. Just as I finished I projectile vomited the whole meal. I am now hungry again 😩😩😩

Oh dear, I have to be so careful with what I eat and drink too. I find it helps to remember your stomach is about the size of your fist and I eat about half that size as the tablets keep it fuller for longer otherwise I feel way too full and nauseous. I skipped a tablet yesterday with no issues so I think that's the way forward until supplies sort themselves out.

i missed one yesterady, and I know I put "No! there is no point buying them and disregarding the instructions" above, and am a total and utter hypocrit!! but.... I still felt the same, so it might be the way forward

There was a really good description on the halflife which supported the miss a day, but I cannot find it, has anyone seen it?

Hi all, has anyone stayed on the 3mg and continued to lose weight? My new provider said they can only prescribe me the 3mg due to stock shortages.

Cetra06 · 12/06/2023 13:00

@Doggymummar you’re totally right! I slipped into my usual eating habits and payed dearly for it. Small healthy meals is the way forward on this medication.

Pineapplepansy · 13/06/2023 08:49

Day 13 and things are going well. I'm still feeling hunger but it's not the constant out of control hunger which was previously my default setting. I'm still resisting stopping for food on the way home from work and I have a resealable pack of peanuts in the glove compartment and just a small handful is enough to stave off hunger pangs now.

Clothes are starting to hang ever so slightly better. I'm excited for a couple of events I have coming up later in the summer where I'm hoping I can wear something I like rather than something that just hides the worst bulges!

Pineapplepansy · 13/06/2023 08:50

Forgot to say I hope everyone else is doing ok and feeling better/losing a bit of weight/managing to get their prescriptions ok.

Doggymummar · 13/06/2023 13:01

Exciting times 🍍

BangingOn · 14/06/2023 11:02

It’s so good to hear everyone’s stories of looser clothes and feeling better.

I’ve managed to get 14mg from Numan, they are expensive but if you sign up for emails you get £40 off your first order which brings their price in line with the others. They have all strengths in stock apparently and their customer service have been really responsive.

Doggymummar · 14/06/2023 11:11

Good to know@BangingOn

BangingOn · 14/06/2023 12:44

Habitual and Click Pharmacy also have stock and good Trustpilot reviews. Can you tell I’ve spent a day frantically emailing everywhere to track stock down?

Th1sisnotadrill · 14/06/2023 13:54

Hello, may I join? I began a Rybelsus thread but was kindly invited to hop over to this thread. I'm on day 3 of 3mg Rybelsus, but have also had a tummy bug the last few days so very difficult to tell if my lack of appetite is from that or the pills.

I'm not entirely certain of my weight but when I weighed in on Sunday I was around 16st 4 and am now 15st 6, again, I r been unwell so this is mostly water weight.

I will weigh in officially in a few days once I'm totally better to get a truer start weight.

Really hopeful about this one, I've tried many but after years of terrible eating habits I really need some help with quietening my minds food thoughts so I can eat healthily and lose the weight once and for all, sustainably and bloody keep it off!!!

Cetra06 · 14/06/2023 16:04

@Th1sisnotadrill welcome!
@BangingOn ooo that’s good to know, did you cancel your daily chemist order?

i went with 3mg for month 2, I have good appetite suppression on day 28 and I’ve lost 5.5kg with minimal side affects. I’ll go up if I start getting hungry.

month two I want to incorporate 10k steps daily to keep the weight loss up.

@Pineapplepansy thats so great to hear! I also think I am ravenous but then I’ll have some water and a fruit and I’m fine! Usually that would never hold me!

RachelGreensHair · 14/06/2023 16:26

Thank you all for the lovely words. Think am frustrated cos its just so so expensive and 10 days of taking the tablets has made zero difference to my appetite or weight :/ will give it longer and keep hoping it does something soon :)

Doggymummar · 14/06/2023 16:57

@RachelGreensHair that's a shame, mine worked from day 1 it's interesting how we are so different. It is expensive but I'm not buying food anymore, I'm living on what's in the freezer and cupboards so it's balanced out. I've not read of anyone who it didn't work for so I'm sure by the end of the month it will be working. Ot maybe like @Londonlady365 you re resistant and need the higher dose.

BangingOn · 14/06/2023 19:08

@Cetra06 Daily Chemist have been true to their reviews and are completely ignoring me. I’m so annoyed as their overall Trustpilot score is 4.5 so I didn’t look beyond it. My bank has said they can refund me after 14 days though, so all is not lost.

@RachelGreensHair try not to feel disheartened. Remember the 3mg dose is really just designed to ease you in with minimal side effects.

RachelGreensHair · 14/06/2023 21:04

Thank you all :)

Londonlady365 · 15/06/2023 10:49

An update from me. I have 3lbs to go before my first target of 14lbs after the first 4lbs which I don't count as its water and food weight and 10 days to go. If I get there it will be 14+4 in 2 months. That's a good loss and most important no sagging. Maybe a bit on stomach but that's kids. I have a lot less cellulite too and I swear my bum has lifted.
On skipping tablets I skipped Mon/Tuesday last week due to infection and same this week due to work commitments and still being ill. So 4 missed in 9 days and I am starting to feel hungry. I was tempted by all to nice food but still some willpower although ate more than I would like.
@RachelGreensHair just keep doing everything you should and it will work. I took a few 7mg then went on to 14mg as I alway need high doses. It did work eventually. Maybe it's an absorption thing. I have just had to take two types of antibiotics for 10days and the infection is still there despite tests saying they should work. It's the same with everything.

Londonlady365 · 15/06/2023 10:54

@RachelGreensHair I also find if I drink wine it enhances the effect. I then get repulsed by sight smell of food etc. And it lasts a few days.

BangingOn · 15/06/2023 11:52

@Londonlady365 well done on your loss, that’s brilliant. It sounds like a steady pace which hopefully reduces the risk of sagging (although I think that ship sailed with pregnancy for me!).

One very strange thing that has happened is I have completely gone off tea. I haven’t been enjoying cups of tea for a week or so. At first I assumed it was the kettle that needing descaling, then I tried opening a fresh pack of tea bags, but have now come to the conclusion that it’s the tablets. I read online that going off certain food and drinks is a common side effect, I just never thought it would be tea as I usually have 5-6 cups a day.

Doggymummar · 15/06/2023 15:28

I'm with you on the TEA. I used to drink a ton of earl grey, I take it black but now the smell is bkeurgh. I gave up coffee yeRS ago but today I went out for lunch and had an iced coffee which was lovely. I can't cope with mayonnaise now had a teaspoon of potato salad yesterday and felt sick. It smells like baby vomit to me. Had a two course lunch today, salmon quiche with new potatoes and a cheese board washed down with soda and lime. I skipped tablet today so was able to eat about half of each wgphich was nice. Hotel breakfast meeting tomorrow so I might skip again, I still haven't started my last packet so still losing about a quarter pound a day which is GREAT not quite hit three stone in 90 days I'm on 2 stone 9lb at the minute. More than half way to my first goal which was 5 stone off. Seemed so unrealistic obpnly 3 months ago. Getting closer everyday.

Londonlady365 · 15/06/2023 16:12

@Doggymummar that's really impressive. How is your face ? Is the rapid weight loss showing ? At 53 i am watching mine closely. Maybe ozempic face is only ozempic

Pretty sure “ozempic face” would apply to any diet where people lose a lot of weight quickly

Doggymummar · 15/06/2023 16:24

My face is always the last to lose weight. I'm the same age as you and it's not until around 9 stone my face gets smaller. I'm still in the 15s at the minute

Doggymummar · 15/06/2023 16:26

It doesn't feel rapid to me I lost 4 stone in three months on Cambridge and nothing happened to my face.
