I am feeding my cold today! Unfortunately all it wants to eat is bread and flapjack! Blush Feeling mega grotty, will try and catch up properly later but just wanted to say thanks to GT for reminding me to book an opticians appt! Haven't been in 2 years & really really need to go!

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/09/2010 17:37

where im both - blind as a bat and huge arse rofl

Murtette · 18/09/2010 18:10

I'm finally able to access the thread. I've missed you ladies! I have a huuuuuge arse but fantastic eyesight.

Piste - I had no idea what flange meant. What other weird and wonderful collective nouns do you know? Well done on the 2lbs. You've obviously got back into it.

GT - I think that the fact that you're still reporting in to us shows how committed you are to continuing to lose weight. You're still over a stone lighter than you were at Xmas and no doubt feeling and looking a lot better as a result. I bet your time for the GSR will be a lot faster this year than it would have been last year.

Bebe - I'm here with my pom poms cheerleading you into the finishing line as you reach your target! What are you going to do now?

Blondes - I hope the babies settle quickly and you have a good evening.

Jodie - well done on your loss.

I was at Gunwharf yesterday and looking forward to getting myself some new clothes but didn't find a thing. I was quite disappointed in how many shops now had their full price current season clothes in stock. I did get DD her first shoes in Clarks there. My baby is getting grown up!

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/09/2010 21:30

yah, glad to have you back murtette

all fine at my hotel :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/09/2010 10:47

Hi all

Shock bit amazed at asking for £2.50 change Blondes

Have trimmed the list. Not knocked PBM or Dis off. Hope I've not been too severe with my trimming. If you're still in touch with PBM Blondes, send her my best.

I've just had bag of crisps/tuna roll/yogurt for lunch, am trying to get the momentum back.

murtette we're not far from Gunwharf, live in small town not far from there. I do enjoy going from time to time.

bebe Just being nosey, are you long-sighted or short-sighted or a bit of both?

I needed glasses for reading only now need the damn things for everything, apparently when I reach age of 50 it will stabilise and not get any worse. So I am actually looking forward to it!!

Just off to ASDA hope everyone's well today Smile

OP posts:
bebejones · 19/09/2010 12:36

Trimmer - I am very odd, I am long sighted in one eye & short sighted in the other & also have astigmatism in both. If I was the same in both eyes I wouldn't need glasses at all as it is so slight, but they battle against each other IYKWIM and this gives me a headache & lazy eye Confused Do think it is getting worse though :(

Been bad, bought Turkish Delight in Tesco Blush that's the one good thing about them having their Christmas stock in! Will try & make it last....Hmm

Blondes - Shock at them asking for change!! Bloody cheek! Venison pie sounds so good!

Back on the soups later....throat still so sore so not a bad thing!

Missed the gym this wkend and ate a lot of food last night. Early morning exercise calls for tomorrow :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/09/2010 19:14

yep asking for £2.50 Hmm and what is even more strange was that they were french and came over for a wedding so today went back to france and would be using euros, so surely wouldnt need/use the change

i have been sooooooooooo bad Blush at the indian and was yummy and wont eat for the rest of the day Wink

RatherBeOnThePiste · 19/09/2010 19:17

Good trimming Trimmer!!

Murtette, We go occasionally to gunwharf but it's nearly 2 hours from here. I also get a bit juddery cos DD wants to go to Jack Wills and I descend into bankruptcy Last time we went we got excellent deals on Nike trainers for both DC for their sporting efforts. It is good for ski stuff too in the season.

Bebe - I despair of you. First you love egg custard (bblleeuugh) . Now you love Turkish delight. (Double blleeuuggghhh!!) Now give me a Twiglet anyday!!

Weird not to be worrying about weighing in tomorrow.
But nice.

Waves to all slinks.

bebejones · 19/09/2010 19:45

Shock Piste, how could you not like Turkish Delight! YUM, could eat it alllllll day!! But won't coz I'd be the size of 10 houses!

Know what you mean about not worrying about weighing in 2moro!

Am mega excited, just tried on my wedding dress corset and I can get it laced completely shut & if it went further I could probably do it further! The gap at back when I got married was about 6-7 inches! (See bottom pic on my profile) Looks fab as well, although need a big full skirt to cover the 'bulges' at the bottom! Dead chuffed! :o Need somewhere to wear it now! Hmm

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/09/2010 19:54

Maybe you can renew your vows bebe?

And blonde heaves at Turkish delight

bebejones · 19/09/2010 20:04

Don't think DH would go for that, we've not been married 3 years yet! Last time I had that corset on I was 6 weeks PG! Seems like so long ago!

Think you Turkish Delight haters are weird!! It's like grown up jelly babies! :o

GettinTrimmer · 19/09/2010 21:50

I'm with you Bebe, love Turkish Delight and also marmite. Twiglets low in cals aren't they?

Feeling a bit cross with myself just been snacking on honey cashew nuts. I am going to do ww from tomorrow.

Running seems to be going alright, going again tomorrow.

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 19/09/2010 21:58

Indeed marmite and twiglets are low in fat :)

maybe you could renew vows at 5th wa and you would be so slim and trim

kinda like a new bride :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 20/09/2010 07:22

I always say to my children.....different people like different things and that is how it should be.
( But this does not include egg custard, bread&butter pudding and Turkish delight!)

Me and DH celebrated 15 years in July. That's such a long time although it feels like 5 mins.

GettinTrimmer · 20/09/2010 10:48

lol Piste! Do you like anchovies? I am not good with them and seafood that is gritty. I had a pizza with anchovies on top and regretted it.

bebe I am impressed at your corset! I had a look on your profile, love the colour, I bet it looks lovely Smile

I noticed we will need a new thread probably in about a couple of weeks.

I feel much more in the zone today, writing down what I eat and counting points. I am having 24 today or would not have the energy to go running.

Just out of interest, does anybody buy/sell on EBay very much? Current job situation is tough Sad one of the mums at school makes good money buying/selling baby equipment.

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 20/09/2010 13:44

Daddy blondes does eBay. He goes to auctions and buys crap and then sells it on and people pay good money for crap Grin

doing well here but really need to reign in points from Saturdays venison pie and Sundays Indian

both were sooooo yummy. Don't dare try and work out what I ate

buy had banana for breakie ad jacket and tuna for lunch

not sure about tea as bs for work but they have a nice packed fridge and freezer :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 20/09/2010 13:55

Am soooooo with you GT on gritty seafood! Major bbbllleeeuuuggghhh. I do quite like anchovies though, but not like eating a jar of them, but a few in a salad is quite yum really!

Things wot I do not like at all...

1 Blue cheese, I find it quite disturbing.

2&3 Octopus / squid, I find them even more disturbing. I don't like the creatures much, let alone put them in my gob.

4 Anything slimy e.g. oysters - I'm mean why would you?

5 Dark chocolate - why eat that stuff when you could choose galaxy?!

6 Rice pudding and anything like that, had a bad experience at school when made to eat it! Sob.

7 Bread sauce - what is the point in that stuff?!

8,9,10 &11 The egg custard, custard , Turkish delight, bread and butter pudding etc as well documented on this thread.

DH loves everything above but then he is strange.I know because I have been married t him for 15 years!

GettinTrimmer · 20/09/2010 14:14

I always remember actress Meera Syall (sp?) on that Room 101 programme say she would put the skin of rice pudding in room 101 because it is like a food scab!

But give me stilton, grapes and oatcakes any day mmmmmm food heaven.

OP posts:
GettinTrimmer · 20/09/2010 14:16

So when you want to stick to diet just thinking of rice pudding puts you off food? Good tactic.

OP posts:
bebejones · 20/09/2010 14:45

Piste - I am with you on the squid, oysters & bread sauce

I shall add to that list, sprouts, even the smell of them makes me feel ill!

Trimmer - Now all I can think about is stilton!! Hmm

Have made a big pot of 3 bean chilli for dinner, will have with some tortilla wraps to try and make it interesting for DD to try!

Have a jar of peanut butter in the fridge that is begging to have a spoon taken to it!
