Where is everyone?

Well done PB! :)

JODIEwantsanewname · 25/08/2010 14:43

Hi all, sorry about being AWOL, I;ve been away in the caravan, 4 nights in Barmouth where the weater was beautiful and spent a load of time on the beach and nights watching shooting stars at the campsite Grin And then 2 nights in the PEak District. (There was also a Birthday involved, I am now a 30-something Blush!)

I'm finding it really hard at the moment as summer mean BBQ's, outside drinking, going away lots in the caravan and bacon sandwiches! I haven't done any excersise for AGES and I've piled it all back on again (Well actullly I'm still lighter than I started, but still Sad)

I have said about 3 times overte summer that I need to kick my self up the bum but I have yet to do anything about it. Well I'm not going away now again for ages so I can start again....... Hopefully

I hope that everyone is OK, BEBE I saw your pics before I went away and you look Fabulous!!! Treat yourself to something nice and slinky with those John Lewis Vouchers, bugger your DH, he didn't 'earn' them!

PMB hope you are feeing better now and the pain kllers have kicked in.

Alibaba Glad everything is OK now, how many weeks are you now?

PIste Glad you enjoyed your surfing holiday and are enjoying your family being around

Blondes Hope you and your DH are OK?

Hope evryone is OK, sorry if I've missed any major news, there was so much to catch up on and I just 'skimmed' the thread...

Poohbearsmom · 25/08/2010 16:18

RatherBeOnThePiste · 25/08/2010 16:22

Hello All

Glad you had a good break Jodie. I love the summer hols. We are going into decline a little because we only have one week left. Today I had to take DS and get the dreaded school shoes, maths set, calculator etc. Groan.

BUT on the upside we have booked to go to Thailand in October HT. DC get two weeks so we can easily go then. Can't wait. But I really need to get back on track. Will restart in earnest on Sept 1st when they go back.

My bro and family are currently inbrighton back on Friday morning then leaving on Sunday. More meals to come!!

JODIEwantsanewname · 25/08/2010 17:42

You and your Hols Piste I am very Envy I have booked Oct HT off too and I think we are going to New Quay in Wales. I'm quite looking forward to a 'cosy' up in the caravan IYKWIM

PMB Yep, DS1 is starting Nursery at 'big school' in september, I went and got him kitted out yesterday, he looks so cute in his little uniform, I'm not worried, he is sooooooo excited Grin He's been going to a little pre school for 2 years and alot of his friends will be at school.
BUT I'm am worried about DS2, he's never gone to pre-school without big brother, (he's been going since January) I know he will be fine, but you just can't help it can you Grin

Right ladies, I have signed up to Weight Watchers and am going to my first meeting tonight. Wish me luck Wink

RatherBeOnThePiste · 25/08/2010 17:46

Good luck Jodie!! Let us know how it goes :-)

JODIEwantsanewname · 26/08/2010 10:13

Well that was the kick up the bum I needed!!!

I went to the meeting last night and I am 11 stone 2.5lbs. Blush I was 11st7 when I started, I've been soooo off track all summer Sad

Well, she's given me a 5% weight loss goal to start with, which will bring me down to 10st 8lbs (which is what I was at my lowest with you guys) and then we shall take it from there, one baby step at a time! I didn't really 'agree' with aying money just to get weighed every week, but I think for me at the moment it's what I need, I am so bad at motivating myself, I'm ok for a while, but when I lose it, it's so diffucult to get back. Pre Kids I was fine, but now I have a load of snacky things in the house for the kids that I find it so difficult to keep it out of bounds for me Sad

Bring on next Weds, I will hopefully back under 11 stone again.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 26/08/2010 10:49

Well done for going Jodie - that must have been an effort and a half!

I feel out of the zone ( as Blondes would say) summer and children off school make it very difficult. Come September 1st I am back on and until then I am maintaining!! I hope.

My brother will be back tomorrow and we have more mass meals. I love having all 8 of us having breakfast / dinner together and we are going to do Christmas ish dinner before they leave Well turkey and all the bits! Well just a big actually !!

Have a good day all!!

bebejones · 26/08/2010 11:05

So excited...Chiken fajitas for dinner tonight....can't wait! They aren't that unhealthy right? If I use fry light & low fat sour cream?! Hmm Will be very good all day just incase! :o

Jodie - well done on going! I'm sure you'll lose that 5% quickly!

Piste - I love big family things like that, sadly only happens for us around Christmas!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 26/08/2010 12:10

As a family our favourite dinner is fajitas!! Yum.
Don't worry just enjoy!

JODIEwantsanewname · 26/08/2010 12:23

Yum, Fajitas!!

I don't use any oil at all, I have a fab non stick wok that I cooke evrthing in, I also use low fat mayo instead of sour cream, the only big sin is the cheese (and the wrap itself!) but I use the low fat cheese from Tesco, I buy extra mature and its OK really (for diet food Wink)

Today I have had a 30g portion of cornflakes and a Weight watchers Soup and an apple, I have also countered in 1/2 pint of milk for my tea/coffee/breakfast, so far so good, but it is only day 1!!!

Was going to start jogging again an the Couch to 5k but firstly DH is away tonight so can't get out and secondly it's pissing it down with rain!!! Might dust of the 30 day shread DVD once boys are in bed, see how I feel,

I have had 3 days off work and it's not stopped raining, so other than a nightmare trip to Tesco (that was in the car!) we haven't left the house, (I did walk to my WW meeting last night though!)

The boys are driving me mad, the house looks like a bomb has hit it, I can't wait until 8.00 and they are in bed and I can relax!!

BTW - I took DS1 to see Toy Story 3 a couple of weeks agoa nd its Fab! I blubbed like a baby though!

bebejones · 26/08/2010 13:54

Have been so busy this morning! All I've had is a slice of bread & jam (not massively healthy I know...didn't have butter though) and also 1 Nairns ginger biscuit!

Don't know why I'm on MN have got loads to do!

Jodie - I might try in the wok without oil then, it's new & non stick so hopefully it'll be ok Confused

RatherBeOnThePiste · 26/08/2010 19:39

Bebe - what's your address? I really fancy fajitas.

bebejones · 26/08/2010 19:53

Fajitas went down well, even with my 2 year old DD!! She isn't a great eater, but did make a fair attempt, I was worried they would be too spicey but she quite liked them! Think it's coz they were a bit different for her IYSWIM?

Making the infamous bread and butter pudding again 2moro! At DHs request! Can I resist more than just a very small slice?!?! Confused

Murtette · 26/08/2010 20:12

Sorry for being AWOL, ladies, a week in France and then really busy since we go back. I put on 6lbs in France but its coming off again. I have been incredibly good all week and am off to the PIL this w/e and they don't eat much so I'll definitely continue to lose whilst I'm there.

I've only had a scan through the posts I've missed:

GT - sorry about your nan. How the world changed in her lifetime! Fab news on your AS result. I hope you're getting to use your French a lot this week.

Bebe - brilliant news on being a healthy BMI and also on getting into 12s

Jodie - well done on going to WW. I keep meaning to go to the meeting but never make it...

Ali - so pleased about your scan result

Blondes - you WILL be in those trousers soon. They would have been too hot to wear over the summer anyway!

Piste - are you and the DCs all geared up for the new term now?

Off to mop the floors. The cleaner normally comes on a Thurs but called at 10.30pm last night to say she couldn't make it. DD is now speed crawling and cruising so trying to clean and look after her was a but tricky and I decided to leave the floors until she was in bed. She thought hoovering was a great game as she could run around after it.

prettybird · 27/08/2010 11:24

Welcome back Murtette :) I'm sure those pounds will soon dissolve away.

I've not been very good this week :( Can't use the excuse of ds as he whas been back at school for 2 weeks already.

I am pleased though that the 8 bars of Peppermint Crisp that dad brought back from SA have still not been finished. Ds and I have been been rationing them very well and there are still 4 bars left! I just love them Blush

Jodie - your fajitas sound yummy.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 27/08/2010 15:02

I feel weary today...

Waves wearily at her fellow Slinky Malinkies

JODIEwantsanewname · 28/08/2010 17:27
