Six slices??????????????? Mon dieu.

Next time you are tempted, play my youtube clip, look closely at the bogs, and you will find your appetite disappearing.

MmeLindt · 30/03/2010 21:08

My 'puter does not like your youtube link. Won't play it.

AuldAlliance · 30/03/2010 21:08

What, my one?
censorship...

Slimcea · 30/03/2010 21:10

god
its those long summer holidays those frenchies have
need to get back working earning money paying tax

BosomsByTheSea · 30/03/2010 21:11

Yes. Have promised MYSELF. And my lovely baby boys, who deserve a slim mummy who can run around with them.

Thank you. Now I am off to bed to try to get an hour of shut-eye before one or both boys demands to be fed.

MmeLindt · 30/03/2010 21:12

No, Su's. Played it eventually but kept stalling.

Am Out Of Touch. No idea who the bint is and why does she have a $ in her name?

LorraineSattell · 30/03/2010 21:15

bosoms is breastfeeding twins, as i understand it. just to give the six slices some context. you chow down, love.

duckyfuzz · 30/03/2010 21:17

in that case bosoms you need 12 slices, keep eating!

AuldAlliance · 30/03/2010 21:21

god, really? I missed that.
She is allowed a whole loaf, then.

(aksherly, I'm BFing too. Not twins, admittedly, and only 2 feeds a day. But maybe I'm allowed some slippage too?)

BosomsByTheSea · 30/03/2010 21:29

Thanks Lorraine , yes I am still bf my DTs, about 6 feeds a day (each - is that 12 feeds a day, then?) though they have just started weaning so I think it's time to get serious about losing the remaining 1 1/2 st of flab that's lurking.

Apart from the disaster tonight, though, not a bad day:

Muesli
Biscuit (bad)
Tuna salad sandwich
Grapes
2 boiled eggs
Toast disaster

Anyway, I still needed a kick up the backside. 2 slices of toast - OK.
6 slices - NOT OK.

See you all tomorrow

LorraineSattell · 30/03/2010 21:30

well yes, of course you are. look, i'm enjoying this thread but i am not comfortable with sharing it with people who have, er, unrealistic or unhealthy aspirations...

Can I join? I have been lurking. I lost a lot of weight before Christmas because of horrible boss at work (only time in my life I've eaten less not more because of stress). Now horrible boss leaving and things are better so weight all back on. I know how good slim feels, very recently, and I loved it (if not the circs). All these clothes I had I hadnt worn in ages, I rediscovered. I had cheekbones! I had sticky out chest bones! I want to take it off sensibly this time (in absence of second horrid boss - in retrospect am reconsidering usefulness of old boss who at least made me thin). Only thing I don't like is weighing - can ruin my whole day. But it seems to be the rule. I need to replace some weird looking battery on my Salter scale tho - anyone know where to get one? I am generally a no carbs with dinner person, find that quite effective. LOVE food. Love food. That is my problem.

Oat so simple Original is good as the portion size is already determined. Nice with grated apple or pear. (I do find you need a little less milk than they say though).

AuldAlliance · 30/03/2010 21:37

I don't think my aspirations are unhealthy, am hoping they are healthy: I want to cut down on eating rubbish and sugar, and get a bit more toned, not shed tons of weight.
More veg & fruit, more water, fewer biscuits and refined foods.

12 BFs a day requires serious stoking, that is a whole other league.

AuldAlliance · 30/03/2010 21:39

Hello newbies!

I have rolled oats in yoghurt. Home made muesli is nice too, with milk or yoghurt.
And smoothies, if you have time/can be faffed to wash out the blender after.

LorraineSattell · 30/03/2010 21:39

god, yes, completely. it's not going to do anyone any harm to ditch the cheesy balls and creme eggs etc.

CheeeseOnToast · 30/03/2010 21:41

FOUR PAGES ALREADY

FFS!

ok, gonna log food then read back from start of thread:

no brekkie apart from cup of tea (oops)
lunch was a quarter of a jacket potato (it was badly cooked and hard ) with some sweetcorn and some baked beans

NO snacks

Then dinner was three vegetable fingers (Birds Eye things) and a huge mountain of peas. With salt and tomato ketchup

'Twas gorgeous!! Haven't felt hungry all day.

Ok, will read thread back....

MmeLindt · 30/03/2010 21:43

Bosoms
I don't think that your day was at all bad, especially considering you are still BF. Twins at that.

Ok, you would have been better eating something other than 6 slices of toast, but it is not too calorific.

Just as an aside, is anyone counting calories? How many calories are you allowing yourselves?

LorraineSattell · 30/03/2010 21:45

i'm just ditching bread, pasta and rice, mme, that#s really it. (although brown rice in moderation, like fifty g per day).
everything else is fine imo, although am trying to eat more veg than fruit. i feel like i'm eating better than i have in yonks, actually.

AuldAlliance · 30/03/2010 21:46

yy, wholemeal toast far better than creme eggs, crisps or ice cream with strawberry compote (my little slip this evening)

MmeLindt, I am not adding up the calories I eat, but have started looking at packets and paying more attention to calorie numbers.

CrossWords · 30/03/2010 21:47

I need particular help with moderation. I can't open a bag of haribo without finishing the bag of haribo. I can't have some toast and marmite without having six slices. The only way I can live without these things is not to have them at all. And then I'm miserable. I'd like a life where I could have them a bit. Is that unrealistic? Am I normal? Do I just need to step up and realise that I have to sacrifice things forever for the good of slim?

LorraineSattell · 30/03/2010 21:50

i'm terrible in that regard too, on one of the maaaany threads a few of us discussed that big family/competition for food thing and proposed that this might have something to do with it. either that or we're greedy bastards.

i'm just not buying shite and eating more protein. just jacking in those white processed carbs is really really really helping with cravings. imo.

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 30/03/2010 21:54

Mme Lindt- I'm checking calories and sticking to between 1200 and 1400 per day. Not eating processed carbs or potatoes and avoiding bad fats and sugar. Am eating wholewheat bread, wholewheat pasta and brown rice in moderation.
