anyone watching joh lewis?

dinkystinky · 24/03/2010 21:17

Bloody hellfire - I just realised there's a new thread and its already on page 6! Just had an enormous stirfry which mostly consisted of bamboo shoots and bean sprouts with the odd morsel of chicken bobbing up. Feeling v virtuous. Was craving chocolate but the satan's love custard comments on the last thread have put me off - good work ladies!

duckyfuzz · 24/03/2010 21:18

yes I am BO, whilst havign a mid week glass of wine and clenching my bum

BariatricObama · 24/03/2010 21:19

what did you think of the scary 40 grand kitchen woman?

thehillsarealive · 24/03/2010 21:20

ok - have looked at the pics, read the article and the hard way it is then. off for a large glass of water and to dust off the scales.

duckyfuzz · 24/03/2010 21:21

she's the sort of woman that makes me think I shoudln't shop there anymore

fishie · 24/03/2010 21:21

i am always watching john lewis. might as well get my wages paid straight to them.

that cardiff store is heavenly, staff so keen and everything shiny. i live right by stratford too so i can just move in.

MmeLindt · 24/03/2010 21:21

'Oh, everything we have is from Lewises'

BariatricObama · 24/03/2010 21:21

i told dh to have me killed if i start dressing like that. the hair frightened me.

BariatricObama · 24/03/2010 21:22

fishie, do you wear lots of bows and have age inappropriate hair?

cornsilk · 24/03/2010 21:22

what is LL?
I am joining in BTW and can contribute my latest low cal find which is Black Pepper Ryvita.

duckyfuzz · 24/03/2010 21:23

hills you need no bread, no snacks, no alcohol on a school night - do that and you will lose loads

fishie · 24/03/2010 21:27

ha i am a clog wearing heavily eyelinered fluffy haired nitwit.

i have to put on lipstick and a pony trot in order to be called madam in jl.

BariatricObama · 24/03/2010 21:29

i took dd's boots back to jl cos they were making her heels bleed. she had had them for weeks and i had no receipt. money back and lots of apologies.

Undertone · 24/03/2010 21:30

Scratch my previous glib comment about not getting bored of salad.

I'm literally sitting here staring at a bit of tomato on my fork thinking; 'will this tip me over the edge?'

Evil tomato is winking at me and saying; 'well - yes - I might indeed.'

Bastard tomato.

BecauseImWorthIt · 24/03/2010 21:30

Blimey you all talk a lot on these threads. Do any of you manage to go to work?!

Despite my horrible last three days, where I seem to have lived on a train, I've managed to be really good, and have got myself firmly back into the low carb zone. I have also been alcohol free since Sunday.

I had lost 9lbs since January, but recent bad behaviour had led to a definite increase. I'm hoping that when I get back on the scales I will have least lost that.

And I'm another 'let's see how much I can lower the tone' wanker.

thehillsarealive · 24/03/2010 21:31

ducky - i dont really drink much, i know it is a SHOCK to most people, but the alcohol thing isnt a big deal to me. It is eating when bored or of an evening that is my downfall. I will avoid carbs and snacks.

jenduff · 24/03/2010 21:32

LL= lighterlife - 3 x shakes a day and nothing more - worked for a friend of mine until she put all the weight back on and more

LeSingeEstDansLarbre · 24/03/2010 21:33

i am a great lover of cheesy balls. however since doing the low carb thing (for one week only so feel free to ignore me) i have had no cravings for shitey stuff in the evening, am too full up.

duckyfuzz · 24/03/2010 21:34

I was a big evenign snacker too hills, but usually accompanied by a glass or 4 of wine, bread was the real revelation to me, plus watching the other carbs - I wouldn't say i have low carbed, but I have cut down massively on refined carbs, lost 2 stone between June and Nov last year

MmeLindt · 24/03/2010 21:35

at Aitch's cheesy balls.

Is half a bottle of red wine likely to get me thrown off this thread?

MmeLindt · 24/03/2010 21:36

Not snacking though, just 'saufen' (drinking lots of alc)

duckyfuzz · 24/03/2010 21:36

mmmmm cheesy puffs

duckyfuzz · 24/03/2010 21:37

I hope not mmelindt!

thehillsarealive · 24/03/2010 21:37

might try the low carbs thing, was just saying to DH how bloated i felt after eating bread/pasta etc anyway. So wont do me any harm at all.
