NomDePlume · 26/03/2010 12:58

@ mamag, cheeseontoast, humphreyC, short&sweet and bravo to all the other losers.

I'll go and sit in fatty corner and flagelate myself with Twix fingers

AuldAlliance · 26/03/2010 12:59

OMG. I have not just stepped outside the zone, I have leaped to the other end of beyond.

The s*dding cake looked undercooked this morning, so I cut it in half, and the middle was indeed totally underdone. I couldn't take it to give DS1's class, they'd all have got indigestion.

So I ate a slice for breakfast. And then since it was going to waste, I ate another one.

I should have left it to cook for 10 more mins. Bloody Nigella and her bloody "this is a damp cake so don?t be alarmed at a bit of stickiness in evidence; rather, greet it." I'll greet her one of these days.

No wonder my pie chart is so depressing!

So, to balance things, I had a juicemaster drink for lunch, with celery, apple, pineapple, cucumber, lime, and god knows what else. Having felt great after the wicked cake, I felt totally sick after the juice and couldn't drink it all. There is a glass of green stuff in the fridge waiting for suppertime.

BUT, I have just walked to school to take DS1's class a chocolate&vanilla marble cake I'd whipped up at the last minute. And I feel very good, all bouncy and energized. And I noticed today that my skin looks really good since I stopped existing on biscuits alone.

AND I tried on lots of summer clothes because after a huge rainstorm the sun is out and it is hot (thermometer in sun says 31°!).

I fit them all. And my tummy is much less flabby.

So yah boo sucks to the 0% kg loss, I have lost cms, and that is what I'm after.

Oh, and my mum sent me this today. It is vvv expensive, esp for sth so synthetic but vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv flattering. I am tempted to get one in another colour. I have a 15% off code if anyone is interested.

After a morning of faffing with cakes, clothes and juicers, a major work crisis is looming.

BariatricObama · 26/03/2010 12:59

[grabs twix finger and slaps nomdeplume]

AuldAlliance · 26/03/2010 13:01

God, what a long post.

Am no longer recommending that top, just noticed the website says 'consertina top', ffs.

BariatricObama · 26/03/2010 13:01

nice top - perfect for smuggling hamsters past the village mayor i imagine

Undertone · 26/03/2010 13:08

duckyfuzz i582.photobucket.com/albums/ss261/Missfire_Ouch/duckyfuzz.jpg

You're doing so well!

cyb · 26/03/2010 13:14

Am I the only one who doesn't understand the pie charts?

duckyfuzz · 26/03/2010 13:16

yay thanks undertone you genius!

have we lost an entire person yet?

largeginandtonic · 26/03/2010 13:20

Ducky you are STAR!

Undertone · 26/03/2010 13:21

Sorry cyb - they're just me being a nerd.

The way the first pie chat is made up is that the target weight is the light blue section. Each loser has a target amount of weight to lose, so this total overall loss is made out of the two purple sections. The light purple section is what has been lost so far out of that total loss goal - the dark purple section is what's still left to lose.

Seeing my loss so far as a proportion of my target loss helps me to see what progress I've made and keep me in THE ZONE. The pie chart to the right isolates loss so far out of a 100% total of total target loss.

God - I sound like a boring consultant. Hang on - I AM a boring consultant, sort of.

NomDePlume · 26/03/2010 13:21

CYB, the charts show what % of your target total loss you have actually managed to lose.

So, Ducky wants to weigh 144kgs. To do that she must lose 43lbs in total. Of that 44lbs she has lost 33lbs so far. She has 10lbs left to go. Therefore the 2nd chart (the all purple/pink one) shows that she has lost 77% of her total target. 33lbs is 77% of her total target of 43lbs

mrsjuan · 26/03/2010 13:22

Oh buggery bollocks.
DH has just phoned to remind me that we're going for a curry tomorrow night
So would I mind doing homemade pizzas instead for tonight .

My pie chart (thanks undertone) will be expanding

MamaGoblin · 26/03/2010 13:24

Undertone, that is fab! Thank you for doing that. So I've lost a quarter of what I want to.

We must have lost the equivalent of a couple of toddlers, at least.

NomDePlume · 26/03/2010 13:25

My explanation is waaaaaay more confusing than undertones. Read her, ignore mine.

LGAT and others in Twix corner - you are only permitted to clutch and perhaps sniff the twix. No sneaky nibbles. The management WILL find out and we will be for it. Su will string us up by our muffin tops

cyb · 26/03/2010 13:25

ok I get the purple pie but not the blue one

How can your target loss be a percentage of your ideal weight?

Am I overthinking this? I'm not even weighing myself for crivens sake

My head hurts

cyb · 26/03/2010 13:26

ooh I had ONE fig roll today. How many cals in a fig roll

cyb · 26/03/2010 13:27

Phew, 61
