My total weight loss in two weeks is 4.5lbs. I feel so pleased with myself only about 28 more pounds to go.

I'm back!! I hada fantastic holiday, although i have been bad i could have been a lot worse! I stuck to my three meals a day, but boy were they good! I had real cheese and puddings, all washed down with lashings of alchool! According to my scales i have put on 6lbs, but i am due on, and have not got my weigh in till friday, so i am hoping to bring it down a touch by then. I have already been out for a "speed" walk, and am about to mow the lawn, and i have so much ironing to do - how many bonus points do i get for an hours ironing? Enough for a glass of wine? I hope so!
Well done everyone on their weight loss, and welcome to all the newcomers

pjsmum · 16/08/2005 21:01

Hi everyone Chuffed to bits, lost 2 pounds which meant i've lost my first stone! Means i can go on holiday and not feel such a whale next to my 2 naturally slim sisters! Hope everyone is ok and not struggling too much.

ark · 17/08/2005 10:02

hey pjsmum well done you! Always such a fab mile stone. My weigh in is tomorrow I have been plateaued at 10st 4lb for too long so fingers crossed I will have shifted sopme this week.

When is your holiday?

fifilala · 17/08/2005 11:03

can't believe it is weigh -in night again tonight!. Not had a bad week, and have got in a pair of 3/4 jeans that I have not been able to wear since last summer - although they are still my current size 16 at least I can get in them - my mum has just said that she thinks I look thinner!!!! Just spent a small fortune on fresh fruit and salad from m&s looked delicious so it may motivate me to keep on eating it!

What will my loss be if anything tonight?????

Cheers ark , go on holiday tomorrow, ate like a pig since yesterday! Will have to see how much of that stone i put on whilst away!

catsmother · 17/08/2005 22:37

Weigh-in this morning .... have lost another 3lbs, which makes my total loss in 4 weeks 1 stone on the No Count plan !

Am really pleased - have been cycling in Thetford Forest twice this week, and have the cuts and bruises to prove it - at least the exercise wasn't in vain.

fifilala · 18/08/2005 08:01

stayed the same this week. No plans for any major things this week so hopefully there will be no cheating!! I think this week could be a catch up from the week before!

Sticking to no count - now sick of fruit and veg. Any ideas for recipes?? (hate soup)

hi everyone..
well done to all on loss..
lost 1.5 lbs this week..
0.5 lb to go to pre-hol weight, so im getting there..
5lbs to new target of 10st which leader set for me last night.. dunno yet if that will be last goal i'll see how i feel when/if i get there..
have increased my walking now to try to tone up a bit, still feel very flabby around abdominal area and still have "baby bag" does it ever go?
or realistically is surgery the only way? which i can not afford and i'd be too chicken to even dream about!!!
ark- how are you doing? did you get below 10-4 yet? am thinkin i will plateau soon as i havent yet.. am now 10-5.. dont know if i could stay motivated if i got stuck.. how do you stay focused? having said all that i dont think id be all that upset if i didnt go muck lower.. wud be happy to tone up now at this stage.
fee77 how are you doing?
Dior- needed motivation last week as i was having trouble getting back on track after hol but think im ok now, had good week and have nearly lost the 2 i gained over the hol..

Keep up the good work everyone!! xxx

Brighteyes · 20/08/2005 22:48

hi everyone,

sounds like theres been some good loses lately.

Has anyone on full choice tried doing the Wendi plan? I'm trying it out this week, have also cut out bread and alcohol from my diet (addicted to bread, don't drink too much though coz I'm bf). Hopefully these things combined will give me a good loss this week. Only 2 more weigh in's before my holiday in Italy.

ark · 22/08/2005 09:52

Hi Liiny have been finding it very hard to stay motivated - what I am trying to focus on is another side of my image, my measuremnts - had my hip to waist arms and legs so that I can see the benefits of my gym activity - would recommend do ing that so even if you are nor shedding weight you are still changing your body shape. I am still 10st 4 lb but I am only 30% body fat, which is below average.

Keep at it - we can all do it together.

Ah that's nice dior.
I put on a lb last week (first weigh in since holiday) which isn't too bad. |I have got to get out of the habit of weighing myself at home - i am becoming obsesssed and i really don't think it is helping.
WHat is the wendi plan? I don't think i've heard of that one.
I have discovered chocolate snack a jacks - they are yummy, take a while to eat and are only 1 point!

ark · 23/08/2005 10:27

never heard of the wendi either, what is it brighteyes?

Mummyvicky · 23/08/2005 12:24

Hellooo !
The wendi plan is where you spread your weekly points of 154 in a different way to say, having 22pts a day. So it would be something like
Monday 20pts
Tuesday 26 pts
Wednesday 18
Thursday 20
friday 30
Saturday 18
Sunday 22
I tried this when I was plateuing and not shifting anything and it did seem to work!
I have weigh in tonight and if I lose a pound its my first silver 7 ! wooo!
Vicky xx

ark · 23/08/2005 12:28

ah ha - i see - i think I sometimes do this already without meaning to! Maybe I should look at this a bit more seriously not am at severe plateau!

Brighteyes · 23/08/2005 21:47

The Wendi plan is all the rage on the weightwatchers forum. Basically you keep to your same point per week but they are distrubited differently throughout the week.

Worth checking out the weightwatchers website on the community boards to get more information if you're intrested. Personally I don't know enough about it to explain it properly, but it does seem to produce some good weight losses.

linnywith2 · 23/08/2005 22:03

hi everyone,,
Dior.. that really must boost your confidence as a leader when someone says that to you.. stand up and take a bow chick!
ark.. thanks for the advice.. will take measurments and keep record of it and if i do plateau at least i'll still see the benefits of sticking with the programme, if not showing on scales..
walking going really well now.. am walking 3.5 miles 5 times a week, takes me 50 mins, not doing it at pace that i cant chat to friends who i do it with, but not at snails pace either.. thiking its worth about 2 points? but not at all sure..

fee77, think i share your obsession with scales at home, in fact im sure im obsessed with it, was thinkin of getting rid of it completely but dunno if i could.. it weighs exactly the same as one at ww meeting so gives me a sneak preview of my weight before i weigh in.. so im never shocked at what i weigh in at, before i got it i used to be so nervous weighing in that id feel sick! now i know if im up or down before hand and not nervous anymore,, is that a good or bad thing?

anyway, been good this week, both excercising and food, weigh in is thurs and so far have nothing lost, still 2 days to go tho so heres hoping!

sorry for long post AGAIN but i cant seem to stop once i start!!

linnywith2 · 23/08/2005 22:41

Brighteyes.. just finished reading all about the wendi plan.. very interesting, really makes sense doesnt it.. am amazed really. ta for posting link

Dior.. whats your take on it??

Ark, would you give it a go?
its confused me a little bit tho..
book tells me im on 21pts a day ww leader tells me 18 a day.. tend to stick to 18, (though at weekend id have more like 25-30 sat & sun)
but at 21 pts a day, that would be 147 a week, so do i divide them up high day/low day
or is what im already doing the same thing?

ok i'll shut up now and go to bed!

fee77 · 24/08/2005 07:24

The wendi plan sounds pretty good - if i start plateuing i will give it a whirl.
I have been good this week, but not really exercised, but i have been rushing round like the proverbial fly, so hopefully that will help burn off points!
Along the lines of measuring, if you are brave enough, why not take a photo of yourself NAKED! I did, well dh did, 6 weeks after i had dd. We did it digitally of course, so no one else has seen it! It really is horrendous, but since then i have lost almost 3 stone and it just gives me a boost to see how far i have come.
Dh certainly enjoyed it, and is pestering me to do it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another yummy treat - marks and spencers chocolate muffin dessert - heavenly, and only 2 points and i am happy to sacrafice my muller light and apple for that!

catsmother · 24/08/2005 11:18

Hi everyone ..... weigh-in this morning and I've lost another 3lbs, which I'm thrilled about.

If anyone's wondering whether or not to try NoCount, I would really recommend giving it a go as I've now lost 17lbs in 5 weeks. Obviously, the low-fat, no sugar approach works well for my body.

It's interesting reading the recent posts about the Wendi plan. When I did Points 18 months ago (but gave up half way through), I also tried this when my loss seemed to stick - but boy, personally, I felt even more deprived than usual on the days I'd chosen to reduce my points down .... even though I had extra on other days. For me, the psychological effect of eating/feeling comforted/deprived - whatever - has a big effect on my resolve.

Brighteyes · 24/08/2005 12:27

linny your points would need to be split as follows

Day 1 - 28 points (super high day)
Day 2 - 14 points (super low day)
Day 3 - 18 points
Day 4 - 19 points
Day 5 - 16 points
Day 6 - 17 points
Day 7 - 14 points (super low day and weigh in)

What you really need to be careful of is not having your super high day and continue to eat this way throughout the week. Takes alot of selfcontrol to pull back on the super low day after spoiling yourself the day before.
