My total weight loss in two weeks is 4.5lbs. I feel so pleased with myself only about 28 more pounds to go.

mmmmm should I reward myself with a chocci biscuit?? or should I stick with the ww fruitie sweets???????????

Hi, hope everyone had a good weekend and are feeling positive. Spent the weekend at my dads who has no concept of limitation when it comes to food or drink so not too hopefull about tomorrows weigh in. Why do i still find ot hard to say no to my dad.. actually i don't think its my dad i think its having food cooked for me and wine in tap that i can't say no too!! determined not to get so demoralised like last week if the news isnt good.

loobywoof · 08/08/2005 21:02

Hello All, haven't posted for a while but that doensn't mean I've fallen off the wagon!! I seem to be developing a pattern for having a bad week, feeling crap about it so then having a good week, feeling smug and then having a bad one again. Well I suppose at least I can see what is happening so I can do something about it. Even so I am fairly happy with my weight loss as I am now at 10.1 ( Was down at 10.0 last week though). My ultimate aim is 9.7 but last time I was that (after DS and before DD) I found it hard to maintain and I think around 10st is more realistic. At the moment I'm just aiming to be 9.13 as it's so much better psychologically than 10.0!! Hope everyone else is doing OK.

Brighteyes · 10/08/2005 13:57

Weigh-in tonight. Will be relieved to have stayed the same. I have been so bad this week I won't be suprised if I've put on a couple of pounds.

catsmother · 10/08/2005 16:30

Weigh-in this morning .... had lost 2.5lbs this week.

Now I know what you're going to say, but I was disappointed by this - though logically, I know this is a sensible loss.

It's just that last week, I'd lost 5.5lbs and had done just a couple of walks in the week. This week, I've walked 3 miles every day, 5.5 miles one day, so was kinda hoping all that effort might have paid off a bit more.

I know .... I'm being greedy so to speak.

ark · 10/08/2005 16:45

hi catsmother

i guess your body becomes used to exercise - i lost 4lb when I started going to the gym and this gradually fell to 1lb a week - I know its difficult though. Still you seem to be doing stirling work - when it comes off slowly it goes back on slowly! It will be easier to maintain a gradual loss that a really quick one. YOu may even notice the effecs of your walking next week.

i'm rambling - but the long and the short of it is I think your are doing brilliantly!

Brighteyes · 10/08/2005 20:26

well done catsmother, that lose is something to be proud of.

Lost 0.5lb and was very happy with that since I've been terible this week. Need to be really good now so it doesnt show up next week.

fifilala · 11/08/2005 08:42

weigh in last night - lost 2.5, feel this is a miracle considering what I have put into my stomach this week, really felt like I had dropped off the wagon..........

Total lost now 8lbs so got my first ever silver 7.

Has pushed me into having a good week this week.

Hope you are all sticking at it and have a good week.

I re-joined weightwatchers on Tuesday, so far so good, I aren't going to classes though as I would end up missing more than I attend due to work, family etc.

So chuffed, I had to say it 5 times

don't know what happened there.

ark · 11/08/2005 10:10

MrsBubs

Well of course ww is exciting! I go to a weigh in rather than a meeting its in my lunch hour at work in and out in ten mins - would thoroughly advise it if you can find the same near you. Althought 5 quid just to be weighed is slightly depressing! Good lck with it.

Fifila - well done you I just love those silver sevens! Really hoping have lot topday when i GO GET WEIGHED AS PEOPLE HAVE SAID i AM LOOKING TRIMMER AND HAVE BEEN TRYING HARD! Woops sorry for shouting. Anyway fingers crossed let you all know after lunch.

ark · 11/08/2005 10:10

gosh my typing is bad - sorry

CharBell · 11/08/2005 15:47

Apologies because this must have been asked a million times but how many extra points per day do I get for breastfeeding? My weight would normally mean I get 24 points.

Brighteyes · 11/08/2005 18:28

charbell you get ten extra points if you're exclusivly bf, 5 if you're weaning on supplementing with forumla.

can anyone tell me how many points in a tesco own brand choc ice?

pjsmum · 11/08/2005 19:30

Brighteyes, i think they are 7 and half each. Are they the real milk/white chocolate ones? Had 2 on saturday!!
Managed to loose the half pound i'd put on last week so pleased about that, only 2 pounds to go for the second silver seven. Hope everyone ok and having a good week. Well done to all those who lost and are keeping to plan.

linnywith2 · 11/08/2005 21:42

niceglasses · 12/08/2005 09:05

Can I join please?

I have lost about 1st 41b to get just under 10st, but I want to loose another 71bs and it is so hard.......I think I have only lost a couple of pounds in the last 2 months. I'm still bfeeding my 1yr old dd, though not much. I did used to go to the meetings but with 3 under 5 its a bit tricky. Any motivational tips to loose that last half stone??? I should get tracking again shouldn't I???

ark · 12/08/2005 13:04

linny

welcome back, well done you 2lb is good I think! (said quietly trying not to get flamed!) Did you have a lovely time?

Hi Niceglasses - I know the feeling I have lost 1st 7lb and just seem stuck at this stage, got between half stone and stone more to loose. i will track this week if you will!

Mummyvicky · 12/08/2005 14:20

Hi everyone!
Ive come to join you and share the trials and joys of weightloss!
I got to goal in november 2002 after ds1, and since then have had two more 15 months apart, now have 71lbs to get back to goal!!

This is my second week after losing 4lbs on Tuesday, Im on 33 points as Im breastfeeding a 7 weeker, and at the moment loving the feeling of being in control of what Im eating again!! YAY!!

I'm going to need the support when the novelty starts to wear off though !!

Good luck everyone !
Vicky xx

CharBell · 12/08/2005 15:15

Does the age of the baby affect how many extra points you can have as a breastfeeder?

linnywith2 · 12/08/2005 22:25

ark- had lovely time, batteries are re-charged!
back to work on mon
but hopefully it'll help me get back on track diet-wise, am finding it very difficult, like when i first started ww.. 2 lb wasn't bad at all considering the amount i've eaten for past 2 weeks, but in another respect its 2 that i've already lost and have to lose again.. ah well i knew all this when i was stuffing my mouth on hols..
had bad day today.. hopefully tomorrow i'll do better.. welcome vicky, great support on this thread (including a ww leader) speaking of which where are you dior?? need motivation big time!!

pjsmum · 13/08/2005 09:10

Hi everyone hows it going? Here's a question am off to Spain next week for 2 weeks do i go and a) eat and drink what i like and suffer the consequences when i get home b) try and stick to the plan as much as possible or c) only stick to the plan? One day we are at brother's wedding and i will eat and drink what i like, its a 25 course all day spanish eat fest, can't wait thats the only reason i'm going ha ha! Just not sure what to do the rest of the time. Any ideas anyone?
