Thought I would start the new thread........ Attended class last night and managed to lose 3.5lbs, my friend lost the same - can't believe that we werre half a stone lighter!

My total weight loss in two weeks is 4.5lbs. I feel so pleased with myself only about 28 more pounds to go.

mmmmm should I reward myself with a chocci biscuit?? or should I stick with the ww fruitie sweets???????????

Afternoon everyone - thats me back from camping, several glasses of alcohol consumed, along with chocolates/crisps and had a pizza when we got home last night!.

Today however someone has commented "Have you lost weight?" and despite it only being 5.5lbs so far I think you can tell. My clothes are not as tight and I do not feel "bloated" although I realise at this point I could still be losing fluid.

To try and improve by weigh in day wednesday only had branflakes and enough fruit to keep Del Monte in business!!!!

Good luck to everyone this week.

2lbs this week, got my first silver seven! (GRIN), that is 8lbs total in three weeks.

Best bit was when DS (who has Aspergers so doesnt notice these things) said 'You are getting smaller aren't you Mum?'

Had six brilliant days, and one TERRIBLE one (hot dog, mayo, birthday ake, LOTS of beer!)

ark · 02/08/2005 12:19

PC well done that is fab news and bless ds.
Do you feel loads better ? have yougot a 10% loss that you are aiming for?

PeachyClair · 02/08/2005 12:31

Not ten per cent yet, that's another half stone away, but on ,my way!

ark · 02/08/2005 12:53

whay go on , my 10% was a stone and something and when I hit that was best feeling in world! Now just need to work on loosing next 10 %!

pjsmum · 02/08/2005 19:00

Had weigh in today, gained 1/2 i know its not loads but feel really p**d off about it. I don't really know why either, its hardly the end of the world. Got 8lbs to lose to get to 10% and really want to do that before brother's wedding in 3 weeks. Not seeing that happen. Why am i so annoyed about it, went shopping for outfir on sunday and was a size smaller so something has worked. Sisters kept telling me off for picking up the bigger size! Aargh, maybe cos had very little sleep last few nights, dd is teething. Anyway sorry to go on. Well done everyone, keep the good work.

Weigh in tomorrow and I can't wait. I have been an angel this week and really deserve to lose the 2lb I need to get my second silver 7.

Will be so disappointed if I don't get it.

Well done to everyone who is losing and big hugs to those struggling at the moment.

PeachyClair · 03/08/2005 08:27

good luck bright eyes

ark · 03/08/2005 10:21

morning - pjm I would worry if you didn't feel peed off if you gain even only a little insignificant amount - you are obviously really focussed on your goal - these things do happen though - just pick yourself back up and keep on going!

Everybody in the office is talking about wonka bars! arghjhhhh I WANT ONE! But no weigh in tomorrow lunch time, managed aqua aerobics with minimal pain on monday and will swim today have been eating moderately well so fingers crossed for some loss! Good luck for all the weigh ins .

Catsmother · 03/08/2005 12:26

Hi all ..... I'm really sorry but there's no way I can type this without coming across as boasting ...... but ...... to my delight, at weigh-in this morning I'd lost 5.5 lbs !!!!

That's 8.5 lbs in 2 weeks.

I'm doing No Count and have been very good at sticking to it, plus I've done a couple of long walks around town following a very convoluted route to get the "mileage" in, though no idea what it really equates to in distance. I really have eaten loads this week, loads of potato in particular & bog bowls of cereal for brekkie. I know that in theory on No Count you can eat as much as you want of "free" food, stopping when full, but was still a bit worried about how much I was getting through.

I did however eat half a big bar of lindt hazelnut chocoalte on Saturday and a Magnum style mint icecream from Tescos as well. Felt "naughty" but tasted bloody fantastic after a week of nothing sweet except Splenda, fruit, diet fizz and low fat yoghurt.

I feel really encouraged now to press on - though I don't expect to maintain this level of loss. The No Count thing really works for me as when I did Points before I used to feel very resentful at small portions which "cost" loads but didn't really satisfy. Obviously, the logical bit of my brain realises that No Count is basically, when all's said and done, a low fat, no sugar (except natural fruit sugars), high fibre way of eating .... but .... with the extra 21 points I can use on treats, I can still really treat myself - as described before - rather than try and restrain myself with 1 jaffa cake or whatever.

Think I didn't actually use all my treat points which I'm sure must have helped - plus, probably cancelled out what I did use with the walking.

Know I'm gonna sound a bit gushing here, but would really recommend No Count .... and this is someone who never touches veg. (except potato, mushroom, onion, garlic & cucumber) !

ark · 03/08/2005 15:39

congratulations - that is fantastic - maybe I should give it another go! I've always struggled a little as I have to go out a lot for work so drinks and dinner are my down fall. I am going to have another look through the instructions and see!

fifilala · 03/08/2005 16:27

well done everyone - weigh in tonight, but not hopefull..................

I am going through a wanting everything in my sight sort of time, veggies and fruit just arn't doing it for me at the moment.

Will report back later

Catsmother- well done!

The excercise is the one thing I'm lacking in at the mo, but I have a plane (as James Blunt says, only mine doesn't involve being high!). Anyway, I knw I'll get bored eventually, so I am saving my Student membership of the College Sports Hall until then so I can re-motivate. I won't actually become eligible until I officially enrol next month, so it can start then and give metabolism a healthy boost too! Plus, it'll be in college time, so I won't have DSX3 to worry about- taking DS1 (the one with AS) is NOT FUN!

Brighteyes · 03/08/2005 21:31

I'm so mad. The week I eat chinese takeaway and go out for a meal I lose 3.5lbs, this week I haven't even gone half a point over and I only manage to lose a pound.

Came home and ate a 12inch pizza I was so disappointed.

but brighteyes a loss is still a loss in my mind, my dp lectures me about not expecting immediate responses to good eating habits - I guess its like detox in a way. But I am praying for a pound loss today!

fifilala · 04/08/2005 16:26

stayed the same this week, but think it is that time of the month (so would have expected to gain due to fluid retention etc)

Never mind need to keep at it.

PeachyClair · 04/08/2005 16:39

Catsmother- don't know how much you have to lose, but try and use your treats if you've a lot: as you lose your metabolism will adjust so you will need to make further changes to lose more (if you look on the points system, though like you i Love No Count, you will see they drop a point every time you lose a stone). So, when you get to that stubborn no weight here will shift stage, you can drop a point of your treats, or do more excercise, and kick start it.

Mind you, you are doing brilliantly!!

Got a note from my leader today pointing out that I have only to lose another half pound to get to a healthy weight for my height! Want to lose another stone, but a healthy weight is an achievement in itself! Came over all weepy!

ark · 04/08/2005 16:44

hello all

lost 1lb whay - so all the praying paid off! am back on track and determined to stay back on track - counting like a fiend . i only have 18 points a day and i will only uise 18 points a day. Might have to come on here breakfast lunch and dinner to tell you what I have eaten!

Still an hour of work to go but want to leave now as have had enough. oh well can't have it all our own way can we!

PeachyClair · 04/08/2005 21:25

well done Ark

Catsmother · 05/08/2005 10:35

Peachy, I get what you're saying ! I have some treats lined up for this weekend - a Guylian Seashell bar and some Maya Gold chocolate .... though can't find these in my points book (an old one) and the nutritional info. isn't on the packaging for me to work out. Still, I can get a rough approximation from similar stuff.

Well done for getting to healthy weight/height. That means you're almost there doesn't it whichever way you look at it. Personally, I'd like to lose another 34 lbs (yikes!) to get to to 9.5 stone - which I always used to be until fairly recently, and I really really want to do it this time. Am walking loads and can (relatively) easily bump that up a bit if things do slow down, which I'm sure they will.

ark · 05/08/2005 14:51

hi cm

went on the ww website for you on the chocolate issue - maya gold is 6 points for 50g, with seashells being 3.5 per 30g

enjoy! I have some green and blacks milk chocolate at home in the fridge waiting for me - it positivelty calling my name!

Catsmother · 05/08/2005 15:23

Thanks v much ark .... I had posted on WW asking the very same question, but haven't checked back there yet.

So .... I can now indulge myself quite happily this weekend.
