okay, so mil visited and her 'boyfriend', a chef, brought a MASSIVE carrot and walnut cake with frosting. and chocolate rabbits and lindt-y things. ignored all, then we went out for lunch... celeriac soup, bream on peas with a side salad, a dod of cheese and three teeny oatcakes for afters. oatcakes a bit carby but i thought i'd live a little.

however.

they left the cake here. and it is winking at me.

don't mention fairy liquid. dh would kill me. the chocolate i can ignore, the cake is pure torture.

cocolepew · 21/03/2010 18:41

Ok today I ran the sports relief mile, was pretty impressed I did it without stopping. I know a mile's not much but I damaged my foot running a year ago and had to stop so I was pleased. Didn't have breakfast in case of accident due to dodgy stomach bug, how would Fren explain that on the telly programme?

Tea and 4 squares of Galaxy

Small portion of spag and meatballs, 1 cslice of cheesy garlic bread.

That's it so far. Made fruit salad up to take to work tomorrow.

SuSylvester · 21/03/2010 18:43

i haev COOKED and REFUSED today

Ohhh birthday cake!

largeginandtonic · 21/03/2010 18:49

LSEDL i have the same fabulous carrot cake in my fridge. I was feeding the baby bits while making the Mac cheese earlier. It was on my fingers. I WASHED them. Did not lick.

Am so impressed with my restraint today. I really wanted to et a mouthful of the mac cheese too. But NO. "This will not make me happy" i repeated over and over.

Danced around the kitchen to Glee tracks for exercise. Think i was spotted by a neighbour.

The shoes are ok Su. Will look nice with skinnies i think. Sequin top\shrug thing too. I know what you mean about placcy. Just don't let people get to close to your feet

Cyb i'm in it forever too i fear. Regular kick up the arse.

Bobbie satrt aagain tomorrow. Clean slate and move on.

Am making meal plans for next week.

largeginandtonic · 21/03/2010 18:51

Have oyu made him a cake?

I love making cakes.

cocolepew · 21/03/2010 19:01

Oh and after the mile we got a goody bag. What was in mine? Prunes! That's the last bloody thing I want ATM.

largeginandtonic · 21/03/2010 19:07

lol at prunes in the goodybag!

I have slowed right down on that front. Hmmm. Pass em over.

Do you think it was a bug? How do you feel now?

bobbiewickham · 21/03/2010 19:10

Yep, clean slate. Am still quite pleased as have eaten much much less than usual.

Which just goes to show how bad I am usually.

cocolepew · 21/03/2010 19:11

Better today thanks, felt weird for a week but after the um, toilet issues feeling better. Yesterday me and DD1 were fighting over the loo as DD2 threw up downstairs .

I got a medal too (for running, not toilet issues)

[throws prunes at constipated dieters]

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 21/03/2010 19:35

Does this mean that Bobbie is now officially the bad girl of the thread instead of Mooders?

Lots of restraint being shown ladeez except on the shoes front. Can hardly be critical since I am drawn like a magpie to shoes especially bargain shoes.

Here - have been pretty good - Yog and fruit for brekkie, boiled egg and homemade south african seed bread (wipes stains off Cath Kidston apron and smiles benign motherly smile), duck salado with mango salso for tea. Was a little bit norty - had a muffin - but i was starving and the choice was extremely poor as I was out. It wasn't nice. I deserve a thrashing.

Haven't had time to exercise today and am actually missing it. Well done Coco!

HumphreyCobbler · 21/03/2010 19:39

Sadly I have cooked and eaten.

I blame the red wine.

I did a lot of walking up hill though.

cyb · 21/03/2010 19:39

lol at l g and t not licking her fingers.

I ahve been STARVING today and easily led off track if I was so inclined.

largeginandtonic · 21/03/2010 19:53

I love duck. Especially cold in a salad with loads of soy and sesame. Sounds delish porridge.

I have eaten my vat of salad and ww chilli. Am thinking of what to have next. Oh dear.

duckyfuzz · 21/03/2010 20:02

blimey you lot, are you substituting eating with posting on here? Went to gym this morning, then out all afternoon, had unch out, roast beef etc I'm afraid, but have nothing else other than fruit all day, does that help? I do find exercise helps with toning less than with loss, but having said that I piled on weight when I left the gym I think exercise means you can eat more - just as well because you need to

MamaG · 21/03/2010 20:15

ok so final tally for today

marmalade butty for breakfast
butternut squash and sweetcorn soup for lunc (made with ZERO FAT) and 2 slices fo wm bread, no butter
a glass of red wine

a BIG glass

taht's it. I will be thin. I will

and fuck off not past May, I'll carry it on

CheeeseOnToast · 21/03/2010 20:23

Wow, impressed at everyone's self-restraint, esp LG&T.

Having felt rather delicate all day, I haven't really eaten too much.

Porridge for breakfast, nothing really for lunch apart from some mango and a small handful of cheerios, afternoon nap , and I was round a friend's for dinner and she didn't fancy cooking, so got takeaway curry. I was a bit annoyed secretly but made the best of it and just had plain boiled rice (two tablespoons) and tandoori chicken, dry with no sauce, and two bits of lamb cooked with spinach (didn't have any sauce). It was delicious but I felt full really quickly. I think I've turned a corner in terms of portion size and appetite, I feel like I'm eating a lot less.

Will have some peppermint tea later.

What's everyone up to tonight?

LeSingeEstDansLarbre · 21/03/2010 20:24

right you lot.

if helen skelton can do this, i can resist a poxy cake. even if i can smell it.

Undertone · 21/03/2010 20:24

I was doing so well today! Beans on (unbuttered) toast. Cottage cheese salad. Then made four lean burger patties out of 250g mince, garlic and onion which I cooked in the george foreman and then gobbled ate daintily while watching a dvd. Then I spoiled it all by wolfing some ham and sloshing half a bottle of white wine in the last half hour while I was gossiping on the phone to mum.

Weak!

Still only adds up to 1600 calories or so. Big run earlier... maybe not so bad?! Maybe I should go for another run now...

fishie · 21/03/2010 20:26

weep at the bmi thing. i am 25.3 on it and am the lightest i have been since adolescence.

where are we with muscle weighing heavier than fat? i think it is a lie as i am wildly fit but still have a giant tum.

and what the hell can i have for breakfast at my desk if not a bacon roll? is that so bad anyway?

glasjam · 21/03/2010 20:30

Just back from dinner at a mate's house - kids in tow. Roast chicken, no skin and loads of veg - some roast potatoes (sweet and normal) and NO gravy. Very delicious and low cal and restrained. Then out came the home-made chocolate pudding and it would have been so rude to refuse and there was icecream too. I had one scoop of icecream and about 3 dessert spoons of the pudding. I reckon the pudding alone was 10 points. I had 3 or 4 glasses of Cava too.

But I was very restrained last night which is usually the night I allow myself to overdo it so hey ho.

Lesinge your lunch sounds very delicious - where did you eat? That cake is a challenge though - at least I could pull the "Oh I'm terribly sorry I can't have that in the house as my DD has a nut allergy" one! Did you see my earlier post about trying on the GAP dress? Was disappointed as it didn't look right on me - still in the sale though if you want to get yourself a smaller one.

glasjam · 21/03/2010 20:32

Oh and I have yet to ever make a bacon sandwich for someone else and not cave in myself - that's quite an achievement Su

MamaG · 21/03/2010 20:32

fishie hte muscle MUST weigh more than fat
see my post about DH's mate

19 stone!

he didn't have a pick of fat no him and I looked, carefully

MamaG · 21/03/2010 20:32

I regularly make bacon butties without caving
but I am a vegetarian
