Hi Ladies

Hope you are feeling better now Ria! It's awful when you get the flu, isn't it. :(

Jammy - 7 sessions in the gym per week is fine for my body :) I only actually go to the gym 4 times a week, so class-wise, i do 2 on a Monday, 2 on a Wednesday, 1 on a Saturday and 2 on a Sunday. Besides, i eat too much for my body to go into starvation mode!! lol!! That's the trouble with my (lack of) weight loss!

I am cracking down again from Monday though. I am going to get back into it and will keep alcohol to a bare minimum (except for when i'm on the fitness weekend!) and eat more sensible portions too. That is my problem you see - overly large portion sizes and too much booze. When i kept the booze to an absolute minimum and cut right back on my portion sizes (so i was eating a "normal" portion), that's when i lost the weight.

Great stuff re FV Ria. Will start hounding you with gifts and requests lol. Wink

Off to bed in a sec - DD will no doubt wake me up at some ungodly hour again. This morning she woke me up at about 6.15am and as it was still dark, i thought it was the middle of hte night and so convinced her of the same thing and she went back to bed!! :o

Sleep well! :o

Hope you are fully recovered now Ria. I'm feeling worse today. So no exercise for me I'm afraid :( But I did well yesterday, I resisted Ben & Jerry's at the cinema (with a big sink in my heart when I'd ordered for DH and she then asked if I wanted anything else :(). I then had the healthy vegetable dishes at the Japanese restaurant instead of the deep fried chicken or pork dishes. [smug]

Roast chicken and low fat-roasties for lunch today, and baked apples and low fat yog for pudding. And I have just found my low-fat Italian recipe book, so will be having some meals out of there over the next few weeks. My short term aim is to get below 100kg by the end of the year, and I am DETERMINED!

findingtheRialme · 03/10/2010 20:51

ooohh, scary motivational talk on here tonight . I am wondering if I can get to 15st by christmas. Am quite determined too, though haven't made it out for my walk tonight as I have a killer headache againSad. Am toying with the idea of the zumba class on Wednesday, but I just don't know. Am going back to following WW again tomorrow as I have an essay due and 2 weeks worth of work to catch up on before i can start, and the house is a tip. I don't have the time to be messing about cooking 3 meals a day.

good luck!!! synchronise scales and off we goGrin

Jammyrella · 05/10/2010 18:25

I'm missing exercise! But am just too chesty to move fast. Hope I'm well enough for dancing tomorrow.

Another kg gone though :)

Jammyrella · 05/10/2010 20:20

I saw your previous post Ria, and decided that Yes I could manage a walk. So when DD was in bed, I went out for about 25 mins, just a walk round the block, about a mile, but I feel so much better for it :)

findingtheRialme · 06/10/2010 12:46

didn't go to zumba. more like zombie here today, really bad night I'm not sleeping well. went to morrisons for breakfast instead.Blush DH has gone back to bedHmm

yesterday I wore a top and skirt I've never been able to get on beforeSmile, that felt goodSmile

Jammyrella · 06/10/2010 15:53

yay Ria!

Jammyrella · 10/10/2010 13:42

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend? Yesterday was grey and dull here, both in weather terms and activities. But sunny today, and I've been out in the garden this morning. Cleared the area where the sunflowers and tomatos have been growing all summer and DH says he will cut the grass this afternoon while I take DD to the swimming pool :) And my brother rang, which is nice and we might see him next Saturday :) I've just put a beef stwe in the oven to cook for a few hours and to celebrate 10kg gone in the past few weeks, I am trying to think of some lush but not TOO unhealthy pudding (but not baked apples again!) to put in next to it later. Right, off to get ready for swimming and work out what to do with about 5lbs of green tomatos!

Jammyrella · 10/10/2010 14:00

Actually, scratch that last bit - I've just weighed them, and I now know what 20lb of tomatos looks like!

findingtheRialme · 10/10/2010 23:24

LOL Jammy. I expect that is a lot of tomatoes.

Been a trying weekend here all round, have not much enjoyed being housebound with the boys TBH. and have been trying hard to get my essay done, but am really not sure that I've grasped the point of the question. It is such a silly subject, i need something a bit more black and white! will be very glad when this one is gone andthe course is done!

my stupid cat has my nerves in shreds tonight too. He has taken to coming walking with us, which used to be fine when he was younger, as he would sit and wait in one of two hedges (depending which route we had taken) until we came back (and he could work outif we had come back the other way too!), but tonight he came right up to the shop with us, which he has never done before. The boys were worried he would try and comein the shop, so i put him on the bench near the post office and told him to stay (OK, I knowBlush), but for some stupid reasonhe crossed the road... he came back to us when we set off back, buthe seems to wait until a car is coming and just ambles out in front of themSad. I think I am going to have to start locking him in the house when I go out.

well done on the loss though jammy, am Envy. seem to have really lost my mojo ATM. too much illnessSad

findingtheRialme · 15/10/2010 22:10

RGPargy · 19/10/2010 22:16

findingtheRialme · 20/10/2010 13:38

glad it was good RG.Smile

decorating the boys room so no dance class for me this weekSad and no time to cook proper food. Am hoping to have finished tonight so I can celebrate with wine (to wash away the taste of paintWink)

am planning some christmas crafting soon too, this year it just might stop me eating as am going to make decorations to sell as a fundraiser for DS2s Badger settSmile

Jammyrella · 20/10/2010 16:31

Look foward to hearing more about your weekend RG,I am trying to get someone to go on one with me in March.

Curry out last night, but with a bit of research I think I managed it without breaking the diet :) Couldn't relax the rules too much as did that at the weekend, so had poppadoms and raita, then a veg bhuna and boiled rice. All yummy too :)

Dancing tonight. Let's hope teacher has forgiven me for being rubbish because I took photos at her charity dance event for 2.5 hours last week!

RGPargy · 20/10/2010 21:22

Scarey stuff re your cat Ria. My cat used to do that to do me too, although she never used to cross the road!

I hate decorating Ria. I also hate ironing so of course i too had to have a medicinal glass (or three) of wine tonight. Wink

Jammy - whereabouts do you live? I am planning on going to Camber again in March too! My friends that i went with this time with probably not be going as one of them is having a 40th birthday celebration in April but they are going to Benidorm Confused for a long weekend. Not sure i can do that as it will be from about Thursday to Sunday or thereabouts and tbh, i dont want to be away from DD for that long. I know i went away on my own over the August bank holiday but that was a one off to go and see my mum, not to go galivanting in Spain...... Does that make sense? Confused

So Camber was amazing!! So many different classes, so many people!! We had a brilliant time on the Friday and Saturday night and still managed to do exercise, despite having 5 hours sleep through the entire weekend!!

I can only think of snippets to tell you now and then - it's difficult to tell you about the whole weekend in a couple of paragraphs, so feel free to ask questions!! My favourite classes for the whole weekend though has to be FightKlub. It was amazing!! I so enjoyed it!! It was very hard but absolutely awesome!! :o

I'm in Oxfordshire RG.

findingtheRialme · 20/10/2010 23:03

Smile lots of happiness on the thread.

RGPargy · 21/10/2010 15:24

Blimey Jammy - that's a treck to Camber isn't it? Or were you thinking of doing the Hemsby one?

I really need to get focussed on my diet again if i'm going to Camber again in March. I have lost focus over the last couple of months, which is so sad really as i was doing really well! I have come to conclusion (after chatting to one of the ladies at Camber) that i am self sabotaging my weight loss by either drinking too much, i.e. wine every night etc and/or by over eating too. I dont know why i cannot get my head back into gear! I dont know if it's because i dont want to have all the loose skin again as a result of weight loss, and although my friends tell me i wont get it this time because i am losing it slowly rather than crash dieting, i still think that if you've had it once, you will get it again as the skin never becomes elastic again. If/when i win the lottery i will be able to afford all the surgery i need to look how i should have looked if i'd never put weight on (once i've lost it again of course!). Now that would be a huge incentive to get going with the weight loss!! Oh well, i can dream..... Wink

In the meantime, back to the hard work.... Hmm

:o

findingtheRialme · 21/10/2010 21:15

I think I know where you're at RG. I have lost focus too, with being ill, and then being busy trying to catch up on the stuf I haven't done while i've been ill, then being ill again, kids ill, then this stupid bloody decorating! Am just so tired, and am really crap with food and booze when I'm tired. And when I'm busy exercise isn't a priority.

I have another days worth of sorting out rubbish to go back in the boys room, then the shelf unit to paint (when DH has built itHmm) and a border to put on. Will be so glad when I've finished! Have to try and sell some stuff and give some stuff to chairty etc too.

Jammyrella · 21/10/2010 21:19

Should be under 3 hours. I travel more than that to go to my parents for the weekend. We go near twice that to go to my ILs for the weekend. Hell, I used to travel nearly twice that at weekends to get a shag! :o (I was a lot younger then, admittedly)

Jammyrella · 21/10/2010 21:21

And I've lost my focus today as well. Must be something in the air.

Must try harder tomorrow though, or I risk losing it for good :(

findingtheRialme · 21/10/2010 21:27

Shock jammy

findingtheRialme · 21/10/2010 21:27
