Hiya,

Am starting Monday, I have not weighed myself yet and think I probably need to loose close to 3 stone but am aiming for 2 by end of March.

Will weigh myself in here on Monday and update each Monday after.
Anyone want to join me?

me me me! easing myself into low-carbing, with Atkins Phase 2 starting on Monday. I haven't weighed myself but suspect I have put on 7lb in the last month (damn Christmas!!) so have at least 21lb to lose by end of Feb. eek!

Would like to lose 2 stone by my birthday in May.. that would be wonderful

LoveMyGirls · 01/01/2010 20:38

In Jan 2008 I weighed 12.13 by june 2008 I weighed 9.7 I hope this inspires some of you to do it, I have crept up to about 10.5 I guess (need to buy some scales to keep it in check!) but I blame our fab honeymoon for that so now is the time to get back on it and lose the weight again! I know I can do it!

Cicatrice · 01/01/2010 20:41

I'd like to join too please. Need to lose 2 1/2 - 3 stone. Or at least stop the gentle creep of extra weight on.

Will start Tuesday when I am back at work!

Disenchanted3 · 01/01/2010 20:43

Wow lovemygirls!!

How did you do it??

Thats what I am about I think, would love to be 10stone so you have really inspired me!

Fab - can you let me know your address, Dis? Email me on lovecat 66 @ btinternet . com (without the spaces!) and I'll post it off!

mrswill · 01/01/2010 20:56

Ooh I'll try that Disenchanted. Il also try plonking her in the highchair with a boxofcheerios fruit to keep her quiet. Thinking of easing my self in with a bit of davina or pilates.

Did you say you did WW Lovemygirls, brilliant result!

Mrsmorgan - Have done my list also for the zoe harcombe diet, and am starting it in the morning. Eggs scrambled with butter it is! When are you starting it??

bebejones · 01/01/2010 21:08

Can I join too? I was aiming for 3 stone by May, so 2 by March would be good!

DH has vowed to lose masses of weight this year too, and I would like another baby but need to shift the weight from the last one first.

Haven't weighed yet as I need to get rid of (eat) all the Christmas biscuits before I can start. I was shamefully just over 14stone before Xmas. I will never be skinny...my boobs are far too big & always have been, even when I was a size 8 at 16, and I looked ridiculous. I would just be happy to be a size 14 again!

twinkle183 · 01/01/2010 21:14

Me too... I would really like to join aswell!!! Have 2 stone to loose...

LoveMyGirls · 01/01/2010 21:36

Dis - I joined WW, exercised (swimming mainly) if I needed to take something upstairs I went myself instead of asking dh or dd's if I could walk somewhere then I did and if there was a low calorie option I took that instead was easy once I got into tbh it's just getting into the right frame of mind I think.

For me I need to feel hideous before I will actually do anything about it. Now I need to do something because I am getting too fat to fit into my clothes and I absolutly refuse to buy bigger clothes as we can't afford it, I'd rather lose weight and use the money for weekends away with dc's and to buy a new car so they are my motivation for doing it this time I also know that it's easier to lose a bit of weight now rather than wait until I am really unhappy.

It is really achieveable if your mind is set on it, people mocked me for being so 1 tracked with my thinking but it's the only way I can do it!
If you would like me to send you pics of my before and after I will just email me on kelli @ kel lis chi ld ca re.co. uk (without spaces)

LoveMyGirls · 01/01/2010 21:40

bebejones - I was 32E at aged 16 then had a breast reduction aged 21 and am now a C cup though if I'm honest a D cup would have suited me better but as I had it done on the NHS I couldn't be choosy about my size they just did what they thought was in proportion with my body. I'd rather have had it done than stayed as I was though I think.

mrswill · 01/01/2010 21:50

Lovemygirls - id love to see before and after pics if you dont mind. Nothing like a bit of inspiration! Have got my own 'before' pic in my mind to post up when im at my after weight.

LoveMyGirls · 01/01/2010 21:56

Email me mrswill and I'll send

whenskiesaregrey · 01/01/2010 22:07

I'm definetly going to do more exercise, I play a bit of football at the moment, so that involves playing a match on a sunday and training on a Thursday, but thats not really enough to lose any weight, and to be honest, I'm a bit lazy at training and do as little as possible!! And we haven't played any matches for weeks because of the weather, so I'm pretty unfit! I'd love to say I'd go out and do a bit of running, but I just find it so boring

So are we all weighing in on Monday??

zippy539 · 01/01/2010 22:09

Can i join. Got two stone to lose and can't stand the sight of myself so HAVE to something about it.

bebejones · 01/01/2010 22:19

LoveMyGirls - I was a 32E at 16 too, I would consider a boob reduction & DH has promised I can look into it after having more DC. If I can lose some weight I may feel better about them...who knows!

Planning on doing Slimming World again with DH, worked last time (more so for him, but he has way more to lose!) Got the Davina DVD ready too which I had post DD & did twice! Must try harder this time! TTC is the carrot at the end of the stick!

whenskiesaregrey · 01/01/2010 22:23

bebejones which Davina DVD do you have? I have High Energy Five that I think I'm gonna dig out again.

LoveMyGirls · 01/01/2010 22:24

I went up to a G before I'd had enough of them, I lost a stone a a half and they were still a G so I went for the operation it's certainly a big decision and looking back I possibly would have waited until I'd had dd2 because I had no milk for 3 days when she was born and also I think pg does change things so much.

JingleAllTheWay · 01/01/2010 22:29

Count me in too. Do we just weigh and post on Monday ?

ChunkyKitKat · 01/01/2010 22:37

I think so, Jingle, that's when we start properly. I go to WW on Mondays so good time for me.

I have just found another box of Thornton's my mum left for us last night, my willpower is being tested beyond limits.

ChunkyKitKat · 01/01/2010 22:38

Seems like many of us have 2 stone to lose.

mrswill · 01/01/2010 23:24

Just had a look Lovemygirls.

I cant believe the difference, even though you look very naturally pretty in the before pics too, and young looking . Love the wedding dress too. My before pic is a pretty horrific drunken wii session, just hoping the after will be better.

I too was going to have the breast reduction op when I was 23. Small frame and massive jugs do not go, 34E at the mo but 32DD back then. But DP looked like a 5 year old being told santa was taking his toys back.

Murtette · 02/01/2010 00:03

I just logged on with the intention of starting a thread like this but, having spotted this one, I'll join you if that's OK, again starting on Monday.

I was 11st 8 this time last year so joined WW to lose a stone and lost 7lbs before realising I was 7 weeks pregnant (completely uunplanned - did explain why my boobs were getting bigger whilst I was losing weight) and then ate seemingly non-stop throughout my pregnancy as I was always hungry. Loads of people told me that the weight would fall off me if I breast fed but I've been exclusively breastfeeding DD for the past 10 weeks and whilst she's piling on the weight, I haven't lost any and am now 13st 6!

I want to be no more than 11 st by mid-April (holiday) so losing 2 stone by March would be great. It does seem a bit of a mission when I realise that that is twice what DD weighs but, with your support, I should be able to do it...and I'll just keep reminding myself that it will feel twice as good as it does when I take her out of the sling! I'm going to do WW again and the local meeting is on a Weds but might do my own weigh on on a Monday as that will keep me motivated over the weekend.

Any tips for how to avoid the biscuit & cake tin as that has been my big down fall since I've been on mat leave. And what exercise did you first start doing after you LO was born (I used to go to the gym a couple of times a week and did the odd 10k run but haven't really done any exercise in the past year)?

Here's to losing those wobbly tums, bums, thighs etc!

giraffesCanDanceAtHogmanay · 02/01/2010 00:11

I'm gonna take some before piccies. Have some horrid ones Ive untagged myself from on FB

thatsnotmymonster · 02/01/2010 00:23

Oh me too please!!

I sound very similar to Murtette- I am about 13st4 and would like to be about 11st.

I might have to joing WW- only thing is I can't really afford it. Can't really afford to go swimming either. I was going out running in the summer but stopped when the dark nights hit.

I had 3 dc's in 3 years and my youngest will be 2 in May so I really don't have much of an excuse for being overweight any more.
I need to shift it!!

I will start Monday too! Have got slimfast in so I might see how I go with that.

giraffesCanDanceAtHogmanay · 02/01/2010 07:03

I have just eaten crisps for breakfast have no proper food as not been out for days - I sould say since last year as that sounds more dramatic! Am ill with tonsillitis and needed to eat something so I could have cocodamol. Am going to phone out of hours soon, resisted thinking I'd be ok but nope I think need antibiotics as pains much worse. So will pop in to shops on way back and buy proper food
