2010 weight loss, Loose 2 stone by March - anyone want to join me?

Disenchanted3 · 31/12/2009 12:25

Hiya,

Am starting Monday, I have not weighed myself yet and think I probably need to loose close to 3 stone but am aiming for 2 by end of March.

Will weigh myself in here on Monday and update each Monday after.
Anyone want to join me?

I am also seeing changes, sounds odd, but my wrists look thiner! I definately have more energy too!

Have iced DH's carrot & apple muffins with orange & mascarpone icing so now am not allowed them, they smell and look so good!

Had Quorn sausages (x2) and a baked potato & beans for dinner. Have been super good ( I think) today, considering I did baking!

I promise to try & properly catch up over the weekend, been a bit hectic here today (Birthday prep!!). Nearly another week over though, Jan is whizzing past!

mummymels · 14/01/2010 20:53

Kayzr ? men really do get it wrong every time don?t they.

Disenchanted ? I hope your tummy and head are better now. You will get used to the weigh in after a while with you weighing in the same time every week. That?s brilliant on the wii. I am still envious of everyone who has one, I need to save up!

Skinsl ? Another insensitive DH. Have a lovely birthday weekend.

Lovecat ? I feel tired just reading about your busy day yesterday! Which did you decide on for dinner?

Phaseolus ? That must be really hard eating half a treat but well done on managing it.

Jodie ? When you are not well you are allowed treats. Did I miss what happened to your arm?

Twitterlotter ? you are doing really well with the wii.

Arcticwind ? that is a brilliant weight loss. Well done. That is really interesting to read ? are you finding it hard to keep to?

Blondes ? you have a lot of willpower saying no to the takeaway.

Bebejones ? what type of restaurant are you going to tomorrow?

MABS ? Hope you can get out your house soon as you sound so fed up.

GettinTrimmer ? I am doing Go Lower. I?m sure traipsing in the sow must burn off some calories.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/01/2010 21:01

heres hoping saying no to ta will make me lose weight tomorrow

wish me luck for my weigh in

have just been to the gym - for the first time in 2010 - did my body combat class and found it really hard work, esp the 14 press ups at the end - 14 and i struggled

having salmon 3.5, rice 3 and carrots and green beans so 6.5p and crisps

what ww pizza did you have? i tried the onion/mozz one for 6.5p and tasted ok, tho was very small

Eddas · 14/01/2010 21:10

I'm seriously struggling today I don't know what with, it's not like i'm itching to grab some crisps or choc, just, oh I don't know, finding it hard I guess

Didn't help that me dinner was far too small as we'd under-estimated portions, so I ended up having a whole packet of angel delight not too bad, 1/2 pint of skimmed milk plus the angel delight powder, but nevermind.

Sorry I haven't caught up with anyone else's posts been working all week and just haven't had time. Hope everyone is going strong

Disenchanted3 · 14/01/2010 21:13

No its spicy chicken, its really nice, they do a small one for 3.5 points or a big one for 7 (i cut the big one in half before freezing as its too big for 1 meal, plus it works out cheaper than 2 small but same points)

Good luck!!

OP posts:
mummymels · 14/01/2010 21:14

Blondes - good luck for tomorrow. I wouldn't be able to do 14 press ups let alone the rest of the class!

Eddas - It's normal to have days like that. I hope you are feeling better tomorrow. I ca't remember what diet you are doing but can you have some fruit to fill you up? Or a peppermint tea?

Lovecat · 14/01/2010 21:57

Well, I didn't get home til 8pm thanks to having to work late because I'm not in tomorrow (DD's school has an inset day) and a broken train in front of us... DH had got DD sausage and chips so I had a nutritious dinner (not) of cold chicken and macademia nuts as I couldn't be arsed to cook.

Tomorrow will be a better day! Not least because I'm off and can do some cooking...

Everyone's WW meals sound lovely - esp. the pizza and oven chips

Eddas, keep strong, you're doing really well so far. Drink water if you can and I hope you're feeling better tomorrow.

God, Blondes, I'm so impressed by all those push ups - I can't do one! Good luck for tomorrow.

Mummymels, how are you finding GoLower? I've had the bars before and liked them, what's the whole diet like, is it a low-carb one (sorry if you've already said and I've missed it)?

Poohbearsmom · 14/01/2010 22:52

Cheepz · 14/01/2010 23:07

ladies, am on your list but due to ttc and having a 2nd mc and other crap going on can't deal with trying to lose weight at the mo, bit of an emotional car crash so feel free to drop me off your list when next done so not just parked there with a zero not making a contribution.

good work though ladies - looks like you are all doing great.

Poohbearsmom · 14/01/2010 23:28

Uh &GT my waist rolls has def gone down too! Dono bout my wrists tho Bebe Lovecat ment to say goodluck wit ur play it must feel fantastic to be able to do that! i cud never, i used to sing abit when i was n sch & i had to sing the little drummer boy solo n front of my whole sch & i was sick wit nerves, i was doin ok gettin threw it when i spotted 1 of my friends who gave thums up i got overcome/distracted next thing i was goin pa pa pa rum rum rum pa pa... mumbling... gettin faint... then silence jus staring at my 'audience' till my music teacher runs over & shoves me back to da rest of the choir! yrs l8r id meet ppl & theyd greet me with pa rum pa pum pum breaking into song! oh the shame... Poohbearsmom · 14/01/2010 23:36

Ah cheepz huny jus saw ur message after i posted, so sorry u mc'd

JODIEwantsanewname · 15/01/2010 06:34

cheepz so sorry for you, sending you a great big unMN type hug >

To those of you who said that your waist is getting trimmer, I'm glad you did as I was looking last night and I thought mine wad too!

I had a lovely stirfry for tea last night, then instead of the snack I was craving for, I did 1/2 hour on the Wii fit! Very pleased with myself. Not looking forward to the weekend, I doubt if hospital meals are very Slimming World friendly!!!!

I'm so glad I'm on this thread, I would have found this week super hard without all your support, thanks guys!

bebejones · 15/01/2010 07:26

Mummymels - you are so good at remembering everyone when you post! It's only a pub type restaurant so just hoping there is something I can have!

Cheepz - so sorry hope you get everything sorted that's going on for you soon

Blondes - good luck for today

Lovecat - I used to do loads of stuff like that at school, don't think I'd have the bottle now! Break a leg!

Jodie - when I have been in hospital near here the food hasn't been too awful & you can choose to have smaller portions as well. Hope it's ok where you are too. Hope the op goes well, my grandma found it much better having it pinned as she wasn't in the cast as long & could use her arm quite well really quickly!

DH's birthday today haven't got him anything as the stuff I ordered hasn't arrived yet! He knows what it is though & that it's 'on its way', but still feel quite bad. Want to make him some more muffins so was going to walk to Tesco & it is peeing it down with rain here, so tempted to take the car! Also going to be brave & let DD do Daddy a painting, should be fun! Must go & prepare myself for the trudge up the road!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/01/2010 08:03

When a thread gets to a certain number, like 1000 - will there have to be a new thread?

Am worried, I don't want to lose everyone!

If a new thread has to take over, will it be obvious to dimwits like moi?

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/01/2010 08:09

.... and bebejones I loooove the idea of your thinner wrists!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/01/2010 09:02

morning

good news and bad news

i have lost weight YAH but not as much as i kinda hoped

i lost a lb - part of me says thats pathetic but the other part of me knows this is normal for me - when i lost 4stone before on ww, 99%of the time i lost 1 lb

and im in the 12stone something (just)

and rem girlies that a lb a week is just under 4 stone a year

so i know its going to take me to july to lose my excess baggage - rather than in march like most of this group

i am sure my jeans feel looser, so hopefully i am loosing inches as well as weight - im not going to measure till been doing ww for 4 weeks so 2weeks today

anyway have updated list and updated weight all lost by us at the bottom

DH says I look slimmer, I was like this but It is quite a lump of weight thats gone, guess its cause I've got a fair bit to go that I can't see it yet really.

Cereal for brekkie.

Supposed to be ging for long walk to village with sister to get stuff for 0 point soup but its been raining over the snow and made ice, DH said its really dangerous and people are falling over all over so may be trapped inside again Bloody weather!

Phaseo_Lunatus -I've just made your soup! Thanks so much - very tasty and I felt virtuous as well (seeing as I fancied a cheese sarnie and a bacon burger ... not good!)

Well done ladies on all this weight lost! Wow ... really keeping me on track here. Now off I go to struggle through some sit-ups

mummymels · 15/01/2010 21:43

Lovecat ? I hope you had a nice day off today and feel better. I know what you mean about hearing everyone having ww pizza?s. Although I am enjoying Go Lower the thought of a pizza does sound quite nice! Yes Go Lower is low carb. The first few days were hard and I did get headaches but once I went into ketosis I found and still find it a lot easier. I wasn?t sure what the food would be like being ready meals but they are actually really nice and there is a choice so you don?t get bored of them and you can bulk them up with vegetables. The breakfast is a granola mix which I sometimes have on its own and sometimes mix with a few berries and Greek yoghurt if I fancy it a bit sweeter. Lunch is a soup and again there is a choice and they are really tasty. I also meant to wish you luck with your play, sorry I missed that off.

Poohbearsmom ? That is brilliant that you are so onto the water now. It really helps. Oh that?s something I forgot to say above that I have to drink lots and lots of water too but I did drink a lot of water before anyway so don?t find that too hard. That must have been so embarrassing with the singing but well done you for getting up there because I wouldn?t even be able to get up in front of an audience at the best of times. Mind you, my singing would scare them all off if I did ever dare do it!

Cheepz ? I?m so sorry you are going through such a tough time. I?m not surprised dieting is the last thing on your mind at the moment. I hope that your TTC journey is not too long and that soon you will be back with us with some good news. Big hugs to you.

Jodie ? If you are in hospital at the weekend you need to worry more about getting yourself better and worry about the diet when you come home. Good luck with it. That?s brilliant going on the wii fit instead of snacking.

Bebejones ? Hope DH had a nice birthday. I?m sure he will understand that what you ordered is on its way especially as you and DD have gone to so much effort with everything else.

RatherBeOnThePiste ? I was wondering the same with the new thread.

Blondes ? Well done on your weight loss. Any loss is a loss so you are going in the right direction.

Disenchanted ? Maybe it?s easier for other people to notice the weight loss rather than yourself. I hope you are feeling better now. Can you give DH a list of what you want to buy and he can get it on his way home from work. Thanks for starting the new thread.

hello everyone, all sounds good out there, what inspiration you are....which is very much needed, day 3 and going ok but I feel huge, that pre preggie weight of 11 stone seems an age away. Determined to get there, how I wish it came off as quickly as it goes on.
