Hiya,

Am starting Monday, I have not weighed myself yet and think I probably need to loose close to 3 stone but am aiming for 2 by end of March.

Will weigh myself in here on Monday and update each Monday after.
Anyone want to join me?

Thanks gruber, these sacrifices have to be made!

whenskiesaregrey · 01/01/2010 15:06

Hello, can I join please??? I want to lose 2 stone as I'm getting married in August. I had DS in July, and haven't really got round to getting back in shape since... in fact, I think I have put more weight on since having him!

Its my birthday on Mon, so not starting anything until then, but think I'm going to do Weight Watchers... Good luck everyone!!

LoveMyGirls · 01/01/2010 15:07

Hi I want to join too, I did ww and a thread on here and it worked really well I lost 2 and a half stone.

Now I think I've put about a stone on but not sure because I binned the scales so I will buy more tomorrow and weigh in on Monday.

My size 12 clothes are getting tight and I am NOT buying more after how hard I worked losing the weight last time! I'm only 5,3 and the weight is mainly round my middle so it needs to come off!

I've got my sil's wedding in July and I'm determined to look fab for it!

MABS · 01/01/2010 15:15

yep me too please from Monday. I am 9 st 13 and 5ft8, want to be back down to 9 stone, but am soooo lazy

Kayzr · 01/01/2010 15:25

ChunkyKitKat, it took about a month as with WW you do a fast track week of only having 18 points a day. So I lost 7lb in the first week and then about 2 a week after that.

whenskiesaregrey · 01/01/2010 15:32

Does anyone know if I get any extra points with weight watchers for breastfeeding?? Still feeding about 5-6 times a day although DS is onto two meals a day now???

Kayzr · 01/01/2010 15:34

Yes you do get extra points for breastfeeding.

vivivi · 01/01/2010 15:35

Hey, can I join too please? I would like to lose about 2 stone, but am very unmotivated and don't seem to have much will power. My dd is now 14 months old and I still haven't tried to shift the weight!!

whenskiesaregrey · 01/01/2010 15:36

Kayzr do you know how many? Does it depend on how much you bf? Tbh though, I haven't been one of those people that loses weight while bfeeding, so don't know whether to just stick to the normal amount of point?

Kayzr · 01/01/2010 15:43

I would get an extra 3 points a day. It asks if you are BF only or BF with solids.

whenskiesaregrey · 01/01/2010 15:54

Great, I'll go by that then. I don't have some of the stuff you see, as I bought the points books off ebay, and the book with the diary in. I think I can have 19 points a day, so will stick to 22.

Drinkerbell · 01/01/2010 16:05

I'm in too! Need to lose a stone and a bit after having DC3. Will be doing WW as well, have used it so many times I can count points in my sleep! Am 10st4 and 5'6'.

Eddas · 01/01/2010 16:28

Me! I'm in. I am currently 12 stone and would love to lose 2 stone by May, but March would be fab I have already resolved to start on monday. Dh wants to lose 1.5/2 stone too by May so we'll be in it together at home, which I hope will help us

I have also bought an exercise dvd Last time i did that(on video so a long time ago) it didn't even get put into the player this time I will at least try it

tasmaniandevilchaser · 01/01/2010 16:40

hello, I'll join you, I would like to lose 2 stone by March (I'm about 10 stone 10lbs and 5' 3"). I thought I'd lose weight bf but it hasn't worked, so more drastic measures are needed. Has anyone done a low GI diet?

mummymels · 01/01/2010 16:48

Gosh, you?ve all been chatty on here today! There?s loads of us on here now which is great. Now I just need to not get confused between everyone!

My weigh in day has been a Monday for the last few weeks so I hope you don?t mind if I keep it to the same day. I didn?t weigh myself last week but will do again this Monday coming.

I have done WW in the past and did find I lost the weight but found counting points etc a bit of a pain. I have now been doing Go Lower for a couple of months and find it is working really well. It is low carbs as well and they send you your meals so nice and easy from that point of view.

StanleyFletcher ? what a coincidence!
DrZeus ? I?ve not heard of that book. Is it good?
Mrswill ? I wish I did have tips for exercising around children. I don?t get the time with my two either apart from if I walk places with them rather than drive.
ChunkyKitKat ? You are very good with the chocs. I have no willpower and if I had those in the house they would be gone in one sitting! Lol!!!

Ondine · 01/01/2010 16:49

Will join too, need to lose a stone - that final stone is always so difficult to get rid of.

Will be taking the 'french women don't get fat' approach which is basically calorie counting but it's the only way that works for me.

JODIEwantsanewname · 01/01/2010 16:53

Can I join you please?

I'm 5'3'' and 11st 5lbs (I think) I'm starting Slimming World tomorrow, so will start tomorrow, tonight I need to 'get rid' of all the chocolate in the house!

I would love to be 10st ASAP, so it's not really 2 stone, but I would appreciate the support!

I'm off to Spain to celebrate my dad's 60th in Febuary and would like to lose as much as poss by then (although I know it will only be about 10lbs at the best)

Summertimefizz · 01/01/2010 17:07

Hi I'm in, I'm 5'6" and 12st would like to lose 1st 7lbs by March or earlier. I've had alot of health issues in 2009, so would like to be slim and healthy in 2010. So any support would be great

mozette · 01/01/2010 17:07

waves hello to her wee sister stanleyfletcher - spooky indeed!

I've only eaten a wholemeal pitta bread today because since I posted on this thread i've been having painful stomach cramps and puking - and I wasn't even drinking last night. No traditional steak pie for me today - I'll be lucky if I can keep down an ice pole!

comefollow i would recommend EA Active - you can use it with or without the Wii balance board and I found it a much better workout than Wii Fit.

snowwombat · 01/01/2010 17:22

Count me in too please. Have put on at least 2 stone in the last 2 years. DS is 6 months and I lost all the pregnancy weight within 4 weeks only to put on even more. Have gone from a 12 to a 20 and struggling.

Ready for the Monday weigh-in and deciding what to do about the christmas treats left in the house! How much exercise do I have to do to have one chocolate biscuit?

ChunkyKitKat · 01/01/2010 20:00

Are you all committing to regular exercise as well?

I used to go running, but have been useless for about the past year. I used to be about a stone overweight, now it's 2 since I stopped.

Kayzr · 01/01/2010 20:04

I am going to start running I think. I am going to do that couch to 5k. I also have some exercise DVDs and wii fit. Going to do a mixture of them all.

mrswill · 01/01/2010 20:20

Probably going to start doing interval training, to try and get fitter faster. A mixture of running and skipping. God knows where im going to find the time to do it with my 17 month old whos a bit clingy though.

I did that couch potato one a few years ago, it was brilliant.

Disenchanted3 · 01/01/2010 20:28

OMG

I haven't been back since starting this!

Lots of people here!

Well yes all are welcome

I have been a total PIG over Christmas, I feel about 6 months pregnant

My plan is eating little, often and low fat. No carbs (am potato and bread adict) and also using tablets (acti-slim)

And doing a 30 min workout DVD everyday, plus walking on school run (DH usually goes on bike)

I have no idea if the actislim does actually work but the above is the method I used to loose weight in 2007 and it worked a treat, lost 2 stone but went on to have DD in 2008 so pilled it all back on.

And have just spent the WHOLE of 2009 sulking about my fat tummy but doing sweet nothing about it

So Monday it is!! Am excited to think that I may feel OK about myself soon!

love cat no way!! yes please

mrswill, I stuck DS at the same age in his highchair facing me wqhilst I did workout DVD, he loved the loud music and mummy doing the 'funny dancing' at him!
