Disenchanted3 · 31/12/2009 12:25

Hiya,

Am starting Monday, I have not weighed myself yet and think I probably need to loose close to 3 stone but am aiming for 2 by end of March.

Will weigh myself in here on Monday and update each Monday after.
Anyone want to join me?

We've been trying to feed the birds too. But it keeps getting snowed on.

runforit · 09/01/2010 17:30

lol blondes you are a walking poits directory! I'm not doing weightwatchers just eating healthily and keeping a vague eye on calories - i reckon it must be about 1000 calories so not good. However even after dinner tonight I should be around 2000 cals for the day so not a lose day but not a disaster hey!

InThisSequinBraYesYouOlaJordan · 09/01/2010 17:32

Good idea for the proud bit!

I am proud of myself for reaching my six week anniversary of three times a week (at least) gym attendance (first three weeks swimming only) and for going to the gym all over Christmas and this week even though it's been freezing - so in warmer weather when I think I can't be bothered, I will be able to say to myself - but you went when it was -6 degrees!

I am really chuffed that I have gone from being dead doing five minutes on the Cross Trainer to now doing 20 as well as rowing and weights

I am pleased that I have not had wine from NYE until last night (that whole "three week thing" didn't work out )

I am happy with some of the food choices I've made, and delighted that I have not let bad choices get me down - this is for life, not for New Year.

And I am chuffed for all of you, fighting the good fight all over the UK and indeed, internationally!!!!!!!

PhaseolusLunatus · 09/01/2010 17:36

runforit - is it possible you're denying yourself a bit too much, and that's what's made you crack this afternoon?

And what Blondes says. It could have been worse

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/01/2010 17:39

agree denying yourself too much as well

i know ww inside out and points

im proud for not eating cheese - sounds weird, but its my downfall and im better have none then small bit - or else i want more

and i have 1000g of the yellow stuff in my fridge for mr blondes - who is also a cheese monster but a slim one

ABitOfPizzazz · 09/01/2010 18:32

Hi all

Phas, I will put some food out for the birds, thanks for drawing this to our attention.

I am proud of myself for sticking to my healthy eating plan, and avoiding the chips, crisps and nuts.

I am hopeful the scales will reward me .

I am proud also because I have limited bread to 2 slices a day (one of my weaknesses)

I am proud for only having 1 roast potato twice this week.

I have walked quite a long way today, about 4 miles, to get stuff to my dad in hospital. I must have burned off some calories!

fatkatyslim · 09/01/2010 18:39

JODIEwantsanewname · 09/01/2010 19:02

I have good news and bad news!

Good news is that I've lost 4lbs this week!!! YEAH

Bad news is that I slipped on some ice on the way to SW and ive broken my elbow I've spent all day in A&E and might have to go backto morrow for surgery toput a pin in it no gym/driving etc for me for at least 8 weeks they reckon I only joined yesterday!

Sorry for me post, but am on strong pain killers and don't have the brain power to read anything

I'm still determined though! i'll still get weighed, even with the cast on, I know it will add about 4lbs in the first week, but it'll all even out in the end (cast is armpit to wrist!!!!)

oh no jodie

bebejones · 09/01/2010 19:19

I know I said on FB Jodie but that is so horrid for you!
Fingers crossed it heals as quickly as possible & that you don't have to have the surgery. That being said my 75 yr old Grandma had a pin put in her elbow 2 years ago & she was able to use her arm really well within just a couple of weeks!

Feeling very full of chicken stew here! Lovely and warming in this cold weather! They reckon we may have some light snow showers here on & off til Tuesday which will cause havoc on the ice here! Oh goody!

Disenchanted3 · 09/01/2010 19:33

Oh no jodie!! hope it heals soon.

Had a lovely big dinner I had to as I felt to proud today as when out everyone was eating chips, burgers, spicy chicken etc and I refrained!

So had WW pizza (3.5) baked spud (3) salad (0) good for you garlic bread (4) light mayo (1) and 2 (1) ww lemon cakes for pud (1p each)

am stuffed and happy

Even though Ive done really well this week and been under my points everyday and excercised I don't think Im going to have lost much at all as mother nature has called and Im super bloated

OP posts:
Milliways · 09/01/2010 20:10

I have had a REALLY bad start to this

We have had terrible snow, so cannot get to gym or pool. Went out the first night of snow for a walk and ended up with a HUGE black eye from when the overexcited dog caught my face as I was making a snowball!

We have been eating rubbish, and I have just had a curry. I did have another good walk up & down our impassable to traffic hill yesterday though.

Anyway, I will not let this make me give up now. I will just have to try harder.

ABitOfPizzazz · 09/01/2010 20:10

Sorry to hear that Jodie

So many accidents atm.

Very well done on your 4lb weight loss!!

Disenchanted3 · 09/01/2010 20:13

And congratulations on your 4lb loss Jodie!!!

Am getting nervous about mine now!

OP posts:
gruber · 09/01/2010 20:17

Oh Jodie I am so sorry! Hope the painkillers kick in and give you some rest.

Ok-ish day... obviously my body has reacted to all the fruit and veg and I have become very well acquainted with the bathroom oh well. I'm sure it's flushing my system!

Not drunk as much water today, been out and about and then treacherous journey to parents via picking up Grandmother for lunch (as weather forecast was ok and roads fairly well cleared today, decided to make a trip - only 1 1/2 miles, hair-raising!). Also they'd cooked sausages and mash, I only had 2 sausages and then Mother produced her own WW sausages from microwave!! I was very

Thanks Phaseolus I'll try and put some out on our balcony, poor birds in this weather.
I am proud that...
the only choc I have had is 2 slices of Terrys Choc Orange
I made 16 white choc/cranberry cookies and only ate 1/2 one (froze 11, 4 to Grandmother)
I bought more fruit/veg than unhealthy stuff aat supermarket.

arcticwind · 09/01/2010 20:43

Hi all

Well done on all the losses - especially Jodie for you with yor elbow.

Amazingly I made some fat cakes tonight for the birds - we have one of those fat less grills and save all the fat, so got some stale crusts, mixed in some seed with the crusts and fat and have popped it under the hedge across the road where the birds seem to feed on the berries (none left now )

Let's hope they eat some and my cats do not get them

I weighed myself today (bad me) and have lost 3lbs so really chuffed especially as AF came this afternoon - will not do it officially until Monday tho in the hope I may have lost more

I am proud that I have managed to stick to the diet - am doing allaboutw8 rapid and it is restricted to mealpacks - and also have fitted into a size smaller trousers (luckily bought for £5 in M&S sale)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 09/01/2010 22:10

Poor you Jodie - big ow, how frustrating too

Eddas · 09/01/2010 23:11

ouch Jodie, hope your painkillers are working. Well done on the weightloss, how fab!

Kayzr · 10/01/2010 06:45

Jodie. I am so sorry about your elbow!! Well done for losing the 4lb though!!

DS1 was asking me all day yesterday to make a cake with him. I was stalling him and said we would make one today when I finish work. So I will just have a tiny slice after weigh in tomorrow.

runforit · 10/01/2010 08:55

Oh Jodie that sounds painful! Hope you're OK

Well done arctic fitting in smaller trousers

Phase/blondes i don't think I have been too strict this week - had the odd treat/snack just not posted on here...I think it was the hangover tbh - bloody brandy! I don't get hungover from wine at all so am not used to it and think I needed to eat junk to feel better

Feeling much better today thankfully! Will hit the road for a run after I tidy the place up and try and eat healthily in preparation for tomorrow's weigh in

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/01/2010 09:57

Well done more than!!!

4lbs is brilliant

Will try the choc puds blondes

My wii fit says I've put on a lb!! lol, i know its just fluctuation though, DH has too apparantly (though in his case its probably right, hes a piggy!)

Am excited & nervous about getting weighed tomoorow, its a funny feeling. Probably because its 'public' rather than just me in my bathroom!
