Hiya,

Am starting Monday, I have not weighed myself yet and think I probably need to loose close to 3 stone but am aiming for 2 by end of March.

Will weigh myself in here on Monday and update each Monday after.
Anyone want to join me?

Morning.

Glad you like the Wii Fit Dis I love mine. Going to have a go on it in a little while. I'm going to have a look at my Davina DVD too as my Biggest Loser one nearly kills me.

B - porridge 3.5
L - Crispbreads with cheesespread and marmite. Cherry yoghurt. 4
D - Southern Fried Chicken with chips and beans. 13

So I only have used 20.5 of my 26 points so I might have a glass of wine or something tonight.

compo · 09/01/2010 09:14

Morning

well done on only having a hangover breakfast of grapefruit!!

I am attempting

b - fruit n fibre + satusuma
l - ryvita, small piece of cheese, salad, cuppa soup
d - pasta and loads of veg

bebejones · 09/01/2010 10:44

Morning!

Have had a SlimFast shake for breakfast as had some left from earlier in the year. I really don't mind them & found that they worked for me if I had one a day & ate sensibly the rest of the time.

L - scrambled egg on toasted bagel, fresh pineapple
D - Chicken stew (mainly veg) & baked potato, yoghurt

Got some major housework to do today so am counting that as exersise as it involves moving furniture & all sorts! Will do Davina 2moro perhaps!

Disenchanted3 · 09/01/2010 11:36

Morning girls, had WW toast x2 for brekkie with half small tin of wws beans.

Lunch will be carrot & corriander soup.

Dinner - no idea yet.

Am off to play on wii in a min, did 1 hr 7 mins yesterday

Will prob do a bit of Davina today too.

Its my Mums birthday tomorrow, so will be going to hers, I'm going to have to take my veg soup with and prob a frozen WW meal as she makes BIG high calorie meals (fried chips, curries etc) so need to go prepared, will atke a few yogurts too as everyone always snacks alot at her house and I don't want to be left unprepared and tempted!

lol compo I think too ambitious with the grapefruit - just went to tescos while DD was at dance class and felt so rough I was forced to have early lunch - sushi box and bag of crisps still only 310 cals though so not too bad.

Dinner is going to be scallops with black bean sauce and chinese veg and rice. No booze for me tonight!!

runforit · 09/01/2010 11:45

Am impressed with your forward planning Dis

Disenchanted3 · 09/01/2010 11:48

I hink it would be a good idea to post what we feel prod ohis week. The first week is always the hardest I believe as their are so many changes, so many tempations and your body is totally adjusting.

Even if you have had a few slip ups then be proud that is all they were! You could have easily have felt defeted after and gave up but we are all still here battling on, its only the very beginning but I think we can do this!

Personally I feel proud of myself because...

  • I have served my kids dinners up without pinching anything from their plates, even the nights when they have had something really yummy like cheesy pizza or garlic bread I have restrained myself!

  • DH had a curry last night and I didn't even ask for a forkful! (that shocked me! lol)

  • I have treid to change my attitude to how I'm eating, rather than thinking 'poor me, I can't have a nice choccie biccy' I've though 'I'll have a yummy yogurt bar instead/ a yogurt' and not felt hard done by.

Any others?

Eddas · 09/01/2010 12:33

good idea dis

I've been fighting with myself, having conversations in my head saying 'you don't need that' to those things I normally just grab and eat without a thought!

I'm proud that yesterday I was very down about everything and yet I still didn't fall off the wagon. Normally i'd be depressed and just grab crisps/choc for an instant pick up but I fought off my own thoughts and said no it won't make me feel better, worse if anything.

runforit · 09/01/2010 12:54

I am proud that I went running 4 times even tho it was cold, that I haven't eaten any kids leftovers, that i haven't drunk alcohol sun-thurs and that i have been able to have just one choc of an evening instead of the whole box

I am not going to make it out running today - feel too tired and not at all keen! will try to do a longer run tomorrow to make up for it.

Instead I am going to watch a film with the kids this afternoon and eat microwave popcorn

MrsMorgan · 09/01/2010 13:01

I embarassingly feel proud that I managed to not have fried egg on toast x2 for my breakfast

I had scrambled eggs with 1 piece of wholemeal toast instead.

I have had a rubbish first week, but yesterday and today have been alot better.

MrsMorgan · 09/01/2010 13:05

hi mrsm
I am proud I haven't had any wine since New years eve although I have been drinking gin and slimline tonic
and I've only had one freddo frog and 3 chocolate biscuiys at work, grump!

bebejones · 09/01/2010 13:15

I feel proud that I have not eaten any of DD's leftovers including the full fat yoghurt!

Also proud that I have only had 1 chocolate all week despite the house being full of Christmas treats (still).

Proud of myself for making my dinner from scratch every night.

Kayzr · 09/01/2010 13:21

I am proud of myself because I haven't eaten any of the crisps that DH has for his lunch box for work. Also I bought custard cream biscuits which I hate instead of biscuits I like.

But I don't feel like I have lost any weight.

Just been trying to dig a path through the snow. That has got to count as exercise. I am exhausted!!!

Cheepz · 09/01/2010 14:29

I am proud that I didn't have a full english with DS after swimming class and instead had 2 poached eggs on toast.

It was extremely hard because everyonw else had a full english .... ghastly, but not as bad as the guilt and self recriminination

think weight gain is because my period is imminent ... thank god

Cheepz · 09/01/2010 14:30

thats thank god about the weight loss, am actually TTC so getting my period is abit of a downer ...

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/01/2010 14:35

PhaseolusLunatus · 09/01/2010 15:13

Afternoon all, and well done on your successes Great idea to focus on what we have done that is good, Dis.

I am proud because:

  • this is the first time ever that I have done a diet/healthy eating and not cheated
  • I have not had any wine since Sunday, and what is more, I haven't missed it
  • I almost ate a mini mince pie and didn't (I put it back in the box)
  • twice now, I have left a bit of potato on my plate [look of disbelief emoticon]
Eddas · 09/01/2010 15:24

phase, I saw those threads, put some bread and water out but I think they're now COVERED in snow as it's blizarding here and really not looking like it's going to stop. Poor birds Some of the bread got eaten before it got covered, I saw a blackbird munching away, poor thing kept puffing up it's feathers

PhaseolusLunatus · 09/01/2010 15:27

Oh your poor birds Eddas

At least the blackbird got to eat something thanks to you, though.

bebejones · 09/01/2010 15:35

Unfortunately I think our cats would see a bird feeder as an all you can eat birdy buffet! Would love to put something out for them though poor little chaps!

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/01/2010 16:07

have just dashed outside and cleared off 8inches of snow off our summer table

have now placed bowl of water and bread and some fruit on it

poor little things

runforit · 09/01/2010 16:22

I have put out bread, bacon and currants. Unfortunately I have also spent the day stuffing myself with snacks what a pillock.

PhaseolusLunatus · 09/01/2010 16:28

Big thank you to those feeding the birds

runforit - don't despair! What did you have? [nosey vicarious living emoticon]

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/01/2010 16:53

oh no RUNFORIT - what did you eat?
