Disenchanted3 · 31/12/2009 12:25

Hiya,

Am starting Monday, I have not weighed myself yet and think I probably need to loose close to 3 stone but am aiming for 2 by end of March.

Will weigh myself in here on Monday and update each Monday after.
Anyone want to join me?

so jealous, my gym closed since Tue eve

InThisSequinBraYesYouOlaJordan · 07/01/2010 21:03

Hello all

All going well on the exercise front - went to the gym last night and did 17 mins 30 on the cross trainer - dead pleased as it was a massive effort to do five minutes the first time, then rowed 1km and did extra weights.

Food: okay, but have just been eating chocolate orange - everything else has been okay though, had a lovely tuna and cannelini bean salad for lunch, one slice of ttoast and marmite for breakfast with half a banana, and backed potato with cheese and beans for tea. Still no booze - one week tomorrow!!!

I'm not going to officially weigh till Monday as got my period today and I know I am really bloated. I think though I am the heaviest on the thread, so possibly will keep the actual number to myself - just add my losses

Well done all - keep it up!!!!

mummymels · 07/01/2010 21:15

Arcticwind / hubbabubbababba / MABS / compo ? Never mind the odd bad day, if you do well the rest of the week it shouldn?t affect things too much.

Lovecat ? I am envious. I wish dieting made me clear up! Lol, our house has so much that needs sorting out.

Blondeshavemorefun ? Well done on watching everyone else eating the pizza and garlic bread. Good luck for weigh in tomorrow.

FultonMcKay ? What a good fundraising idea at your work and will help with motivation too. That lunch sounds yummy.

Jodiewantsanewname / Lovecat / mum2OliNoandJess ? I hope you have a better evening with the DC tonight.

Runforit ? Well done on running in this weather. Let alone any time. I am terrible with running!

Disenchanted ? When I did WW many moons ago I never weighed myself on the scales at home cos they were always different to the ones at WW. Well done on resisting the chips. -11 ? where are you again?

Eddas ? Good idea with the treats. When I did WW we used to have a treat on weigh in day after the weigh in and maybe we didn?t lose weight as fast but it was a motivator. On the diet I am now I can?t do that though or my body will come out of ketosis but funnily enough for the first time ever I don?t actually feel like I need them. That?s not silly wanting people to notice you are slimmer at the party, and it?s a good motivation.

LitteRedDragon ? Enjoy the roast dinner and as others have said if you have lots of veggies with the a bit of roast you should be fine.

Phas ? I?m sure you will be able to wear whatever you want to the event in April.

ABitOfPizzazz ? I agree it is nice that everyone can do their own thing and still help and advise each other.

PollyParanoia ? I am doing Go Lower which is lo carb and I eat granola for breakfast. Sometimes I mix it with some blueberries and plain yoghurt, sometimes have it on its own.

InThisSequinBra ? Wow that is brilliant on the exercise front.

All the same here really. I am still on the Go Lower ready meals. They are nice but I think I am going to find out when I can start making my own low carb meals for a bit more variety.

Cheepz · 07/01/2010 21:29

am trying to eat same as 2 yr old ds to encourage him to eat more - meant i had to have fishfingers with my salad for tea ... it was actually really good!

FultonMcKay · 07/01/2010 23:44

Some grim reading - here

For those who are starting to struggle let me give you some inpiration. I started WW 6 weeks ago and I have lost 12lbs (though I have stayed the same the last 3 weigh ins which is frustrating but good since it has been Xmas). I have gone over my points a little a few times but still within my activity points. I too find it easier to be one way or the other and I have an IRON will at the moment... I hope it lasts!

My measurements are - started at 10st 8lbs, now at 9st 10lbs

Hips were 40", now 37.5"
Bust was 41", now 38"
Waist was 33", now 31"
Lost measurements for thighs but they have slimmed

That is with exercise too though. On average I have done 45 mins med/high intensity on the cross trainer 5/6 times a week.

You CAN do it, you CAN be disciplined and you CAN be the size you want to be. This is the BEST time of year to do it. Get on the wagon, buckle yourself in tightly and go for it!

runforit · 08/01/2010 07:50

Morning all - everyone is doing so well - keep going peeps nearly a week already!

After telling Dis not to do a sneaky weigh yesters I have gone and done one I am down 3.5 pounds since mon so if I can make it 4 by Monday morn and not bugger it all up over the weekend I will be VERY happy

Fulton that article is so sad I was watching that Big Fat Diet show last night too and unfortunately there seems to practically be a conspirousy (sp?) to make people get overweight in this country at the mo.

I'm so glad I decided to join this thread - makes it so much nicer having other peeps to catch up with esp as i refuse to talk about weight/diets in front of the DCs - not good for them to hear too much about at the age of 4 imo.

Going to run again this morn and food will be:
B- yog and apple and cinnamon
L- lefover roast veggies and salad
D- Lamb (will cut off fat as i hate it) and veggies and half a bottle of red wine - yay!

Happy friday y'all!

Kayzr · 08/01/2010 07:55

Morning,

We have had 8 inches of snow!!! It is mad!! I wanted to take the boys out for a walk in the snow but there is no way I will get the pushchair through.

I am having a breakfast burrito this morning. It is only 4 points so I am looking forward to that. Not sure about lunch or dinner. I am looking for a yummy recipe for chicken for dinner tonight.

Eddas · 08/01/2010 08:28

morning ladies,

I'm feeling the strain atm, dc both off preschool/school, eldest (5yo) doing my head in with her constant moaning about being bored They only went back for a day afetr christmas, having broken up a day early because of snow in dec, so she's had 3 week soff instead of 2 and I haven't been able to go to work. FFS I am so hacked off with it all.

But to cheer myself up I weighed again. I know I shouldn't have but I did, anyway i did cheer me up so am sort of pleased I did.

I am going to have to attempt to get out of the house today as the dc are seriously stressing me out being caged up in here.

Sorry for self indulgent post

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/01/2010 08:57

YAY Blondes!! Well done!!!

I am so tempted to weigh myself but I am going to be strong until Monday.

bebejones · 08/01/2010 09:06

Well done Blondes! I too will be resisting the urge to weigh til Monday!

Eddas · 08/01/2010 09:10

well done blondes really pleased for you keep going like that and it'll soon be gone!

Disenchanted3 · 08/01/2010 09:11

Yey!!!!! Blondes that is FANTASTIC!!!!!!

Great Idea to put the weight loss in bold on the list, because its the most important bit isn't it?

Really proud of you! wow!

Morethan Thanks, I think I'll wait and start AF after Monday, I only have one every 6 months due to migranes so best get it over with, but after weigh in!

Mummmymel I'm in Manchester! its so so so cold DSs school has been closed all week! had 3 weeks holoday off now.

inthissequin Don't feel like that! I'm alot bigger than most on this thread, in fact some ladies are close to my target weight! No body here will think anything of your number and besides you are here to bring that number down, so every week it will shrink.

Am going to go for a wlak this morning, If Im not back in an hour please call mountain rescue

Hi everyone. I just found this thread.

DS is now 7 months and I have recently decided to part with the extra weight I gained over the past five years with two pregnancies (and many cookies). I started dieting almost three weeks ago, and have lost 2 kgs (4.4 lb) and weigh 66 kgs (10 st 5.5 lbs) as of this morning.

I'm adding myself to the bottom of the list

Morning ladies

Dis sorry about your pipes. What can you do? I've never had frozen pipes before, but can you get a plumber out?

I am especially fed up with this weather as my dad, age 79, has fallen over and broken ankle.

He has to stay in hospital and only has the clothes he stood up in, mum can't get there because of the weather, so I will try the train tomorrow, he's got to have an op today.

Well done Blondes, that is great news!!!

I sympathise Eddas with the cabin fever. My 2 dc have friends coming round today, so at least they will entertain each other.

Thanks Fulton for those words of encouragement!!

ABitOfPizzazz · 08/01/2010 09:41

Welcome CoteDAzur.

How are you doing yours, ww/sw/low card/etc?

CoteDAzur · 08/01/2010 09:47

This time, I'm actually getting professional advice: I saw a dietician who looked at what I eat in a day and said I eat small amounts but fatty foods (what I can get my hands on, really, with 4 yr old and baby to cater for) so need to change to eating meat/fish/egg AND pasta/rice/potatoes AND fruit at every meal, without sauce or with a low fat sauce. And to stop me diving into the cookie jar, she said to have a few low calorie biscuits with coffee in the afternoon and a few more in the night (after dinner) with a yoghurt. I even get a bit of nutella on bread + orange juice for breakfast so can't complain!

MABS · 08/01/2010 10:07

well done to you all for your losses, Fultonmckay - you sounds so focussed, great.

I am still stuck in and eating way more that usual, gym shut too, a fairly sure i will have put on 5lbs monday, am not joking sadly.

Cheepz · 08/01/2010 10:31

made the mistake of an interim weigh in - how can i have gained 2 pounds ..... [cheepzreachesforcrisps]

crap

ABitOfPizzazz · 08/01/2010 10:44

Cheepz, your weight can fluctuate throughout the week.

Keep going until Monday and the scales will say something different, I reckon.

Also your scales might be crap.

Kayzr · 08/01/2010 10:49

Cheepz, that is why I have avoided weighing myself. I used to weigh myself and be really annoyed that I hadn't lost anything but then go to my WW meeting and find that actually I had lost something.

Disenchanted3 · 08/01/2010 11:14

cheepz, like others have said your weight fluctuates, you might have just jumped on thew scales at the time of day you personally are heaviest.

Wait till monday and try not to dwell on it

My Wii is out for delivery today instead of monday! woohooo, going to be hula hooping later, lol.

OP posts:
Kayzr · 08/01/2010 11:41

Woooo!! My Wii Fit Plus game has just arrived. I will be going on that later.
