Hiya,

Am starting Monday, I have not weighed myself yet and think I probably need to loose close to 3 stone but am aiming for 2 by end of March.

Will weigh myself in here on Monday and update each Monday after.
Anyone want to join me?

Yeah I've seen that burger too. I would love to see what it is because it must be a lot to be 42 points. I need to dig out my eat out book actually.

Disenchanted3 · 07/01/2010 14:03

OP posts:
Disenchanted3 · 07/01/2010 14:06

double whopper with cheese 19.5

Kayzr · 07/01/2010 14:15

You create the burgers at chiquitos yourself so maybe the 42 point one is one with everything on.

runforit · 07/01/2010 14:18

pmsl at the burger convo maybe this is the 42 point one

JODIEwantsanewname · 07/01/2010 15:40

STOP TALKING ABOUT BURGERS!!!!!

I'm having a bad day today, I feel knackered as hardly had any sleep last night and then boys up at 6.30am. DS2 (18 months) has started to drop his nap, and today seems to be dragging!!!!!! I'm craving sweet, energy filled snacks, and I have plenty of the kids xmas chocolate in the house that I have so far avoided. I put Shrek on this afternoon, thinging a couple of hours doing something else and having some 'quiet time' with the DS's might help, but that's over and it's AGES until bedtime

Dis 6 lbs might be right you know, I did my first diet 6 years ago, ready to get married and I lost 5.5lbs my first week! And the SW 'leader' said the most anyone has lost in their first week at her meetings was 11lbs, imagine that!

My meal plan today has been -

B - Bowl of special K - Semi Skimmed Milk
L - Wholemeal roll with ham and cucumber - no butter and an apple.
Snack - French Fries
D- Garlic Chicken (another 0syn SW recipe!)

Only 2 more days until Weigh in for me and I'm quite excited!

mum2OliNoandJess · 07/01/2010 16:03

well its warmed up here now its only minus 2!!!
not too bad so far today
b-porridge and blueberries and cranberries
l-poached egg on toast & fresh fruit, greek yog & touch of honey
snack tesco cranberry cereal bar 75cal

tea is chicken and veg just have to ease on the potatoes. not too hungry just now but evening is my weak point.

gruber · 07/01/2010 16:19

Oh LittleRedDragon I know just how you're feeling, we have a long planned dinner date with close friends on Mon and been saving a joint of roast pork in the freezer for them but I'm not going to have much . Just lots of roasted veg (that's 0p isn't it Blondes?)

Been good today - 50 mins walk in snow (25 mins each way, usually takes 10 mins!) and managed a cereal bar for snacks.

Cheerios and banana for breakfast (in rush to get to Waitrose while they still had bread so no time for porridge)

Leftover pasta dish for lunch, 2 plums, yog

Dinner will be braised chicken with fennel and tomatoes from an M&S low fat cook book I found.

pizzaz I have never known so much snow down here! we have 6-8 inches laid, it's not melting at all.

MABS · 07/01/2010 16:25

minus 6 where i am, little village in west sussex, am stuck at home going mad, eaten two mars bars and there may be more . Am so cross, am usually fine as i'm out house, and i can't get to gym either thoroughly pissed off.

Murtette · 07/01/2010 16:31

kayzr - I made this chicken pie for supper last night and it was delicious and only has 7 pts per serving(acc to the WW magazine that I took it from). I added some leeks and mushrooms to it and put in lots more carrots and broccoli than suggested. Even DP liked it and he's normally a complete carnivore.

Low fat cooking spray
1 large shallot
150g skinless, boneless chicken breast
2 garlic cloves
Thyme or rosemary (doesn't say how much in the recipe)
15g low fat marg
1 tbsp plain flour
200ml skimmed milk
1/2 tsp mustard
grated nutmeg (again, recipe doesn't say how much)
100g carrots
100g broccoli
80g puff pastry

Pre heat oven to gas mark 4/ 180 degrees C

Heat a frying pan, spray with cooking spray, saute shallot until softened slightly. Add chicken and brown for a couple of minutes, add garlic and herbs and cook for 1 more minute.

In a separate pan, melt the marg, stir in flour, take off heat and gradually whist in the milk. Return to heat, bring to boil and stir until thickened slightly. Add mustard and nutmeg and season to taste.

Blanch carrots and broccoli in boiling water for 5 mins or so until just cooked. Drain well and add to pie dish. Add chicken mixture and pour over the sauce.

Cover with pastry, make small incision to alllow stram to escape and pop into the oven for 25 - 30 mins.

Jodie - thanks for the Homity Pie recipe. Looks yummy.

Murtette · 07/01/2010 16:38

should have said that that recipe serves 2

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/01/2010 16:40

GRUBER yes if have carrots,pepper,onion,swede,toms

butternut squash and beetroot is yummy as well, roasted, soooooooooooooooooooooo sweet and yet 0 points

no potatoes or parsnip as these have points

last day of week for me today, weigh day tom

think i am the only one who weighs on a friday, but i just find it easier, as then can enjoy weekend and if out/have chinky etc, i can cut back on points throughtout the week

lost 4stone before, so sure can do 2 stone

runforit · 07/01/2010 16:52

Good luck with your weigh in tom Blondes...in the past I have always weighed on Fri for the same reason but am seeing if a monday weigh will make my weekend more restrained

Kayzr · 07/01/2010 17:00

Thanks Murtette I will make one of those.

Eddas · 07/01/2010 17:07

MABS I used to live in West Sussex, in a little village called Barns Green, anywhere near you?

Sounds like everyones doing ok, even those who say they're not, you are, it's the first week which is hard work. I rarely get passed week 2

I had a bit of good/bad news today, as we've had so much snow my friends 40th party which was on friday has been postponed(that's the bad news as I was really looking foward to it) but the good news is it's been rescheduled for 13th Feb so hopefully i'll be slimmer Is it stupid that'd i'd like people at the party to notice I've lost weight I so hope I can stick to it, 5 weeks and counting

MABS · 07/01/2010 18:26

not stupid at all Eddas, you be thinner by 13 Feb defo. Barns green about 20 mins from me btw.

ABitOfPizzazz · 07/01/2010 18:41

MABS my sis lives in Billingshurst in W Sussex and my dc love going to Fishers Farm. Anywhere near you?

Gruber Yes, never known anything like this, we normally miss the snow. Well done on your walk today. DC off school again today, we slid to the shops.

Eddas I'm like you rarely get past week 2, but determined this time. Agree with MABS in 5 weeks there will be a difference, gives you something to aim for.

Blondes that roasted butternut squash and beetroot sounds great.

Made a chocolate hedgehog with the dc today and had a big slice of it, meant to only have a little slice. Would hate to think how many ww points were in it!!

May have to get the washing up liquid out if the dc don't eat it soon.....

skinsl · 07/01/2010 18:50

been really hungry today... was waiting for DH in the car, and all I could find was a pack of DS's raisins!!
Steak for dinner, but small one, no sauce and vegetables.

Disenchanted3 · 07/01/2010 19:14

Its minus 11 here!

I've not been that hungry today, must be getting used to it now.

B - special K fruit & nut cluster (3 points)

L- Carrot & corriander soup with 2 slices of ww bread (3 points)

D- Poached cod fillet with broccolli, carrots, and a jacket potato, with parsley sauce (7 points) - i wasn't planning on having a baked spud but Ive lost my cauliflower

Had a snack of yoghurt bar too (3p)

will prob have a yogurt for supper.

come home and dh has made roast chicken dinner with toooo many potatoes
oh well tomo is another day, lol

Disenchanted3 · 07/01/2010 19:50

Sorry if TMI but does anyoneknow if being on your period will affect my weigh in weight monday? I'm on the pill and due to have 7 day break, if i do could i run the risk of weighing more than if i delay AF fora few days? Its first weigh in nerves.

OP posts:
bebejones · 07/01/2010 19:57

Evening all! Was -11 overnight last night here too and not got above -2 all day. I'm SO cold & craving stodge! Temp has dropped since sun went at 4, apparently going to be colder tonight!

Jodie - DD is dropping her nap too, some days nothing, others 1.5-2hrs. I just can never predict what she is going to do at the moment & subsequently get nothing done!

Played in the garden for a bit with DD again this afternoon. Lots of running after her as she kept running to the end to look at the road & there is a 6ft drop & very very low fence! She is surprisingly quick on her little legs!

Have been quite good today but did just have 1 toffe from the Quality Street leftovers. . Getting sick of salad but have not alot else in. Will risk the walk to Tesco again 2moro, our road is like a giant ice rink! Going to make some celery soup for lunch 2moro, so that should at least warm me up!

I have a school reunion on the 20th Feb so I would like to be a little slimmer by then if possible. I was a size 8 at school so feel a bit to be seeing all these people who remember me like that! Can't even blame it all on having DD! I will blame the pill though, I piled it on after I started that!

morethanyoubargainfor · 07/01/2010 20:05

dis your period will affect your weigh in, but it might affect you for a few days before as well it very much depends on you.

I have been following my food doctor and i feel so much better for it once again(had 2 weeks off over christmas). I have also up'd hthe exercise-managing the gym x2 this week and swimming once as extras.
