Disenchanted3 · 31/12/2009 12:25

Hiya,

Am starting Monday, I have not weighed myself yet and think I probably need to loose close to 3 stone but am aiming for 2 by end of March.

Will weigh myself in here on Monday and update each Monday after.
Anyone want to join me?

WI at slimming world. 10st 11lb. Was at 9 st at my lowest. Trying Extra Easy plan. Hoping to get down to 9st 5lb and will be happy.

Eddas · 06/01/2010 19:04

ah yes that makes sense re veg/gas/bloating, I am windy too

The delights of deiting

I just had a huge plate of homemade potato wedges and what I call egg jumble basically a few eggs, bit of cheese, LOADS of veg(mushrooms, onion, courgette, broccoli, peppers) all cooked in a wok, basically a kind of scrambled egg/omelet

I need something sweet now so i'm off to grab a diet coke

Cheepz · 06/01/2010 19:17

Oh and wii fit and wii personal trainer both worked for me, but would say personal trainer is better of the two.

Disenchanted3 · 06/01/2010 19:50

hadw holemeal pita for luch with salad and WW soft cheese,

Im quite hungry now so will be routing for tea soon, suspect itll be a WWs curry though as DH is having a proper one, might steam some veg and add that as super hungry!

Got some yoghurt bars at 1.5 points each, they are pretty tasty when craving something sweet so happy with that purchase

I was going to do my Davina today but it was still downloading so pul Nell McAndrew DVD on, it nearly killed me, its way to much for someone whos had a big break in exercise,

Will do Davina tomorrow morning.

Went for a walk too today but had to take DD and trying to push the buggy through the snow is one hell of a workout

If anyone lives near a Somerfield/Co-op they have WWs yogurts on offer, 4 for 87p and they are half a point or one point each depending on flavour.

I've been having trouble with gas for a while. Was at SIL for xmas and kept having to leave the room during trivial pursuit.

Lovecat · 06/01/2010 20:25

Anyone watching 'Fat Family' on Sky1?

I'm wondering what he'll come up with for them - between three of them they weigh half a ton and one of them is carrying 19st of fat (before anything else - she's actually bigger than that...)

The soup was absolutely yummy, made 4 portions at 180 cals each and 6g of carbs, so I've frozen the rest. I had it with a scoop of mozarella cheese and it was lovely to have something so warming.

Also had a glass of red wine, which I'm supposed to avoid on induction, but it's within my allowance for the day, so....

compo · 06/01/2010 21:15

've been really good foodwise today except for one freddo frog
and 2 cans of cider this evening

mummymels · 06/01/2010 21:46

Mum2OliNoandJess ? Thanks. I am doing Go Lower and eat their ready meals that they send to me. It?s so easy to do. I?ve been on the diet for 3 months now so am really pleased with how it?s going.

Phas ? That recipe sounds lovely. I should be more inventive with my cooking although at the moment I don?t need to worry about it for myself but still cooking for the rest of the family.

ABitOfPizzazz ? I didn?t know that programme was on but would have liked to see it if I have known.

Disenchanted ? I had to laugh at your story but your poor son. Lucky you still had some food left for him.

Fulton ? that recipe sounds yummy too.

Everyone are all doing so well. With Go Lower my foods are sent to me so I don?t need to go shopping for my diet foods. I thought I would find it really hard not to have snacks between meals. I do have a health bar I?m allowed and I thought I would be starving but I have really surprised myself that I?m not hungry.

I have not done so well - was in London yesterday late and gave in to a MacDs chicken Legend plus chips then when I got home I found dh had ordered 2 pizzas from Dominos and none for me so I stole his garlic bread.

Today I have just finished the last of the Christas cake. Evenings seem so hard - particularly when I am at home all day (snow here - no trains, no buses, so could not get to work)

Lovecat · 06/01/2010 22:44

I know what you mean, articwind - I ended up cleaning out one of my kitchen cupboards tonight to keep me occupied - I wasn't hungry, but I'm so used to sitting in front of the telly snacking of an evening that it's become a habit I needed to break.

But on the upside, I didn't eat and now all my herbs and spices are neat and tidy!

Off to bed now before I give in to any more urges to eat!

Cheepz · 06/01/2010 23:15

I am going to bed hungry - its pants, I had a cupasoup but its not the same as a mars bar

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/01/2010 00:33

well done all - keep up the good work

i have been so good that if i dont lose weight on friday, i will be gutted

had a slight crisis at work today, got stuck in a blizzard and took 3hrs to get kids and mb home, when should be 15mins

finally in just before 8pm and mb said would pizza and garlic bread do (pizza was 18points) and i said no, doing ww so will eat something else, so watceh and sat with mb/db eating pizza/gb and i had beans on toast 5p but did have 2glass's of wine 4p - so total meal 9p

polishs halo

FultonMcKay · 07/01/2010 04:56

Bloody well done Blondes. It is torture watching someone else eat pizza. I have done it twice but at least they were skinny, rubbishy pizzas from local deli and not fat fat Dominos-esque ones.

I have started a 'Lose some Ass and raise some cash' challenge at work to raise money for a colleagues nephew who needs treatment for CP. Everyone is paying to join then pledging money for each lb they lose with a fine if they gain or drop out. The emails that are going around already are hilarious!

I have been good so far today with usual lunch (I have the same thing everyday but i love it). I am going to pick DD up from a playdate at my friend's house later and she will have a chilled glass of white waiting for me when I get there. Supposed to be exercising later so will have to find the willpower to turn it down! Argh!

skinsl · 07/01/2010 07:18

well done Blondes. Good willpower,I think that's the hardest, when other people are eating tasty stuff!
Didn't do too well last night.. DH came home early from work and we decided to order chinese. Didn't have usual, ordered Sing noodles, but just ate half. Anyone any idea how many calories that is??

JODIEwantsanewname · 07/01/2010 07:26

Evenings are the same here! I usually snack in front of the tv too (probably why I'm 2 stone over weight!)

Last night wasn't too bad - craving wise - but crap DC wise! THe DS's didn't get off to sleep until 9.00 and I had to sit with them until they'd gone off, they were in terrible moods (18 months and 3.5) So by the time I'd come downstairs, I didn't really have time to think about it. I caught up on my SkyPlussed Waterloo Road and went to bed, while DH made me feel guilty by going on his Bike Trainer for an hour

I must admit to having a Crunchie though But I was still in my Syns as I'd been good all day, and it was divine!!!

JODIEwantsanewname · 07/01/2010 07:27

Oh and forgot to say Blondes You did very well, I don't think I could have done that, I would have pinched a slice for sure

Lovecat · 07/01/2010 07:40

Must've been something in the air last night, Jodie, DD wouldn't go to sleep, she ended up in our bed with DH, falling asleep to King Arthur (godawful film) at about 10...

Blondes, you did really well, not sure I have that amount of willpower (though I resisted sneaking a marshmallow when DD was ladling them into her hot choccy!).

Good start this morning, I used the time last night to get organised and have had an energy/protein drink with added cream and frozen raspberries - gorgeous, like an ice-cream milkshake! - and 7.5g of carbs.

Plan today is for a ham salad at lunch (although it'll be another short day in work as they've just said school is on but after-school isn't) and for dinner the chicken with cheese & bacon I was going to have yesterday with soup but was too full to eat!

Have a great day everyone

runforit · 07/01/2010 07:41

Wow well done everyone - impressive willpower all round! For those who started on monday by lunchtime today we will be half way thru the first week

I'm all dolled up for half an hour running in the frost after I drop the DCs at school - am trying to form a habit...i'll never be able to give up wine and naughty food long term so i'm hoping if I diet and exercise until i get to my goal weight and carry on with the running I will be able to eat a bit more naughtily normally without gaining again

Food plan today
B- yog + blackberries
L- tomato soup with two ryvita and hummus
D- makerel(sp?) salad and potato wedges

JODIEwantsanewname · 07/01/2010 07:59

runforit I'm so impressed, I'd go A over T in this weather! (I hate running anyway) but you go girl!!

lovecat That milkshake sounds delicious!!!!

Right, another day at home today, my friends coming over for a cuppa and a catch up at 9.30 after she drops her DS off at school and then I think I'm going to wrap the Ds's up and go and run about the field/park at the bottom of our road, get some fresh air.

Kayzr · 07/01/2010 08:04

Morning,

I was a bit naughty yesterday and had half a Mars Bar but I was 9 points under my limit so it wasn't too bad.

I do think this is the worst weather for losing weight though. I just want to eat stogy fattening stuff.

I have ordered Wii Fit plus so hoping it arrives today. I have the orginal one and I love it. I am hoping to get some exercise in today but DS2 is poorly so not sure if I will manage it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/01/2010 08:22

tbh it was hard watching boss's eat pizza/gb but i am going to lose weight, and want to get back into my gorgeous suede trousers - tried on today - heaved over hips and have prob 5inch till go do button up over bellybutton

FultonMcKay - hope lots of money is raised for cp fund - what do you have for lunch every day?

skinsl - dont know calaries in noodles, but on ww they are 5.5p per whole portion so if you only had half must be under 3p so low calories - well done for having half

its no point denying yourself everything, so a LITTLE of what you fancy is good

lovecat, am so at your diet - no carbs but yummy everything else it seems

Kayzr - 9p under - wow- you deserved the mars bar!!

Kayzr · 07/01/2010 08:39

I have 26 points to have a day and sometimes I really struggle to get near 26. I have read somewhere that if you don't eat most of your points it isn't good so I am trying to have at least 22 a day.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/01/2010 08:56

thats true, your body thinks it isnt getting enough food so shuts down and wont lose weight/fat

when i had 24 points, i would drink full fat coke/have butter/semi skim milk/lots of cheese to bulk up the points

or have half a mars bar a day if you are a choccy fan

now i have diet coke, flora light and skim and no cheese

Kayzr · 07/01/2010 09:01

It's when I am at work I struggle. At home I just have an apple or a rice cake etc between meals. But at work I don't get that chance.

FultonMcKay · 07/01/2010 09:30

Blondes this is going to so 'out' me to anyone who knows me but, I first did WW about three years ago and got into the habit of having a couple of crispbreads with laughing cow light and tomatoes or home made salsa on top with 0 points soup. I have been doing it ever since (though too hot in Manila for soup so not that any longer). When I left my last job to come overseas my boss worked out how many crispbreads I had eaten in the time I had been there and it was hundreds and hundreds.

Can't get crispbreads here but I hav found the most gorgeous little crackers so have them with... laughing cow light and toms or salsa. I am always being asked my bemused people how I can have the same thing EVERY DAY but I love it! I am not usually a creature of habit but have genuinely never tired of my little lunch and it means I can be creative at my evening meal and not worry about lunch!
