wow - that's great holyteatowel! I feel quite liberated at not always thinking about the low fat option and I feel my attistude to food is changing.

My biggest problem (apart from the stopping when I'm full is wine - I just really like it!

PenguinProject · 27/09/2009 20:10

Can I suggest "On Eating" rather than fat is a feminist issue. It's a much quicker more direct read and is really quite inspiring alongside PM.

Tommy · 29/09/2009 07:58

just weighed myself and have lost 4lbs over the last fortnight!!

gingernutlover · 29/09/2009 08:20

wow thats fantastic tommy, i must admit i was naughty and wieghed after 1 week (waiting one whole week is very controlled fro me ) and I had lost 2, very very pleased and not finding it that hard

what i am finding tricky is that if i am eating lots of yummy food becasue i am allowed, i have to be so so careful to stop when i am full LOL

Tommy · 29/09/2009 16:36

I was really surprised - and I couldn't remember how much I was last time I weighed myself 2 weeks ago.

I agree, gingernutlover, with the overeating thing - that is my biggest problem. All this yummy food and not one of those "fill you up" yogurts in sight!

lisasimpson · 29/09/2009 16:40

well he did have one but it was American! think it was on one of the SKY channels

needahand · 29/09/2009 16:59

well I am clearly a mug because I paid nearly £40 on the Paul McKenna site...and it still hasn't arrived. So at this rate the only thing that will be thinner is my wallet

I wish I had seen your post sooner gingernutlover

PenguinProject · 29/09/2009 21:34

Tommy - where do you live? Been searching my nearby tescos for the journal, but no luck. I do balk at paying £9 or so on amazon for it. Is it worth it?

Furball · 30/09/2009 07:04

£3.86 at asda

Tommy · 30/09/2009 09:39

I got it at a big Tesco homeware or whatever they are called (don't sell food - just everything else!). It was a few weeks ago though - in the summer holidays

needahand · 30/09/2009 11:15

Apologies for thread hijack but Waves at PP . How are you PP I haven't seen you since I left the postnatal june08. I lurk every now and again but it is far too long to catch up.

Hijack over. Still haven't received those CD...am decidely unimpressed. That's a good start

needahand · 30/09/2009 11:25

well just as I was typing the above, I have received an e-mail telling me that my order has been processed. I has taken them 4 working days to process it!!! And they can deliver between 7 to 28 days! I mean what are they sending them through? Snail's mail

PenguinProject · 30/09/2009 17:10

Hello Needahand. Lovely to see you! Feel free to jump into the June thread anytime, I was away for weeks at a time when the PND was bad but everyone is always glad to catch up.

That is ridiculous about the PM website. 28 days!!! Really disappointing. Does buying it through them mean that you can join their forums for free too?

Thank you for the link Furball. I've actually got two copies of the main book, but I wanted to get the journal to keep me motivated (along with you all obviously - I need all the motivation I can get ). I'll keep looking. Just getting aggravated that every book I buy at the moment seems to be less than half price somewhere the following week (It's all in the mind, Eat, Love, Pray, Any Lee Childs book I get for DH, etc).

Needahand, do you want me to send you my spare copy of the book so you can get started before November!? Let me know.

Today has gone well so far, although I do find it hard to recognize when I am hungry. Had some nutella today and think that perhaps that should be the thing I do the repulsion exercise on. I could eat a whole jar.

I love the fact that this feels like a natural way to eat. The way that my skinny friends eat naturally. How is everyone else doing with exercise? I am considering starting the couch-5k plan, but the hardest bit seems to be getting me out the front door!

needahand · 30/09/2009 17:38

Hi PP glad to hear from your and to know the PND is getting better. I would go back on the June thread but I feel I cannot catch up. I do lurk everynow and again though to see how you are all doing. Did Debs come back to the UK in the end? And is anyone TTC again?

Thanks for the offer of sending me your spare copy. I think I will wait about 7 days but if it doesn't turn up might take you up on the offer as I cannot stop eating which is really really bad. Especially peanut butter and chocolate...which is probably up the same street as nutella

I don't think I get access to any forums though and to be fair, I can just about keep up with mumsnet, let alone another!

PenguinProject · 30/09/2009 22:18

Sorry for the thread hi-jack PM'rs.

Needahand - Amber & Neenz are TTC. Sponge, KTPie and Puree are all pregnant again. Deb is still conming back but I don't think they've decided where. (I'm moving to NZ at the end of Nov!)

Back to PM, I see that you can get 6 cd's. Does anyone have them and what do they contain that the one cd that comes with the book doesn't?

Am feeling like I want to eat something now, but not because I'm hungry, it's just a habit when I get in after being out for the evening. This would normally be a binge time, it's strange to realise how often my eating has nothing to do with hunger.

needahand · 01/10/2009 10:41

PP oh wow, I cannot believe Sponge KT and Puree are pregnant again! Or that you are moving to NZ lucky you!

I think the 6cd thing must be what I ordered. If they ever turn up I will let you know what is in them and if they are worth it.

I at so much yesterday I really hope they turn up soon!

Lifeistooshort · 02/10/2009 13:55

marking my place as I name changed (needahand here)

Tommy · 02/10/2009 17:04

think I ate too much lunch but was at a friend's house and she put it all on my plate. I didn't want to offend her! It was all very nice though. Still feel a bit full so I hope I'm hungry again by dinner time!

PenguinProject · 02/10/2009 19:46

Having trouble being hungry enough to eat what I want to it! Got some lovely food in for the weekend, but I'm not really hungry. :0(

I haven't gone anywhere near the 'stuffed' end of the hunger scale which is good, but don't seem to be getting hungry either.

Anyone else had this?

PS Caved in and bought the journal at full price yesterday after all my moaning!

Tommy · 03/10/2009 15:11

do you think you are leaving it long enough between meals? Ifind I am not hungry, not hungry, not hungry then suddenly really quite hungry!

Lifeistooshort · 06/10/2009 20:41

ooh I am so excited. The CD have arrived and I am ripping them on my MP3. Oh it is needahand by the way, I name changed

Tommy · 06/10/2009 22:54

good luck lifeistooshort! I need to listen again - have missed a couple of days and my eating has gone right off. Let us know how you get on

Lifeistooshort · 07/10/2009 13:05

Thanks Tommy. In the pack I bought I have 5 CDs so how on earth am I suppose to listen to them all regularly!

I hope you get back on track easily

Tommy · 07/10/2009 17:02

not sure how that works - I guess you'll have to read it all first and see what you have to do!

I los a pound this week I'm so chuffed! [smie]

MuthaHubbard · 12/10/2009 20:57

Can I gate crash? I bought this ages ago (a few yrs I think) and it did work, lost a couple of stone.

But if you return to your old habits, things go into reverse...as I am now finding out.

I'm going to dush off book and hunt down CD tonight and start afresh.

Would love to lose about 2 stone (1 of which has crept on from last time)....
