ILoveStripeySocks · 10/11/2009 14:12

www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1226594/Casualty-star-Rebecca-Wheatley-loses-12-STONE-shame-we dding-photos.html

wow!! She has lost 12 stone on this diet

QandA · 10/11/2009 16:51

That is amazing Strawberries, I remember her from Casualty. Bet slimming world are pleased a success story and a minor celeb in one!

Littleoldme, I have used about 5 syns each day, but have eaten out twice this week, had the healthiest choice, but figure that I will have used my 'spare' syns from each day on those.

Another good day, I had special K for breakfast and a satsuma mid morning, then a portion of the moussaka and veg for lunch, 1 slice of a go ahead bar (3.5 syns) this afternoon with a cup of tea and we are having vegi curry and rice for dinner with only 1.5 syns for the creme fraiche.

I have been for another bike ride today, though only 20 minutes.

Sorry for the rambling, I seem to be enjoying logging how I am getting on.

Good luck for the WIs

jenk1lovesSW · 10/11/2009 17:15

Sending good vibes for the WI,s.

Another good day today on EE

for breakfast i had

Bacon,Egg,Beans,Brown toast

Banana for lunch as i was still quite full

"Fish pie" which is 2 portions of cod in parsley sauce topped with mash potato and lots of veg.

bag of crisps and i still have half my syn allowance and 5 from yesterday, am going to try and save 5 syns a day so i can enjoy the weekend.

ILoveStripeySocks · 10/11/2009 17:23

sowhatis · 10/11/2009 18:50

only lost 1lb, which is a bit weird, considering all the exercise i have done????

still, i reached my 2 stone target! so thats a good thing xx

ILoveStripeySocks · 10/11/2009 20:25

I lost 5.5 lbs! So I got my half stone award & slimmer of thw week 7lbs in 2 weeks, im quite chuffed.

sowhatis - sometimes a lot of exercise builds up muscle, which weighs more than fat! Do you measure yourself? I bet you have lost inches even if it doesnt shwo on the scales.

sowhatis · 10/11/2009 20:31

WELL DONE STRIPEY!!!!! Thats a fab fab loss!!

Maybe its that, going to be v careful this week and still do my yoga etc and see what happens xx

StrawberriesandCherries · 10/11/2009 20:54

Well done Stripey that is brilliant! Well done everyone else on the losses, very inspiring

QandA · 10/11/2009 20:55

That's brilliant Ilove! You have done really well.

That will give you the incentive to continue doing well.

Ooh, am getting nervous about my 1st weigh in tomorrow now!

ILoveStripeySocks · 10/11/2009 21:35

Thank you

Have put pics of my certificates on my blog if you want to see!

ConnieComplaint · 10/11/2009 22:04

Oh wow! Well done stripeysocks & sowhatis!!!

You are both doing great!

Stripey - loving the blog

I've had a strange day....

B'fast: Apple, 1 scanbran with laugh cow light & grapes & a satsuma

Lunch: baked potato with beans & cheese followed by a bag of low fat crisps

Dinner was strangely lots of fruit as I had to visit a relative & she had a dinner prepared, with plenty for DH, kids & me but I skipped, saying I had already ate.

Now I am back home again I will either have a slice of toast or go to bed......

WI tomorrow night, feel huge, fat & bloated!

I was going to try & link 2 pix of me... one from last year before I started SW & one of a couple of months ago....but I can't figure out how to do it!

Ria - hope the sicky tummy is a bit better sweetie

ILoveStripeySocks · 10/11/2009 22:05

do you have photobucket? upload to there, and post the link that "direct link" here

ConnieComplaint · 10/11/2009 22:20

Stripey, I can't believe the haul you got on SOTW!!! We usually get a fruit basket....with about 4 pieces in it!!!

Happy days!!!!

BTW, the veg/noodle dish on your blog is making my mouth water!!!

ConnieComplaint · 10/11/2009 22:38

Do you have facebook?

I so, email me @ [email protected]

I will tell you my real name so you can add me

That's just an email I use for on here so it's fine

ameRIAcansmooth · 11/11/2009 07:44

morning all. Well done on those losses

still not on top form here, headachey today. the tummy could be a prolonged but light start week, I suppose. There are some nasty bugs around at school apparently.

I had a good day yesterday really. I made myself eat bacon, egg, mushrooms and tomatoes with half a brown roll and a scraping of low fat spread. Then I went to bed instead of lunch. DH cooked roast chicken, potatos and veg for tea, but he made proper gravy and yorkshire puds, of which I had one small one. So that took care of my syns, bed by 10 so I wasn't tempted. Am trying to cut back on booze for a few days (ideally til christmas to boost my losses, but maybe won't manage it!)

littleoldme · 11/11/2009 08:08

Well done stripey. You've motivated me today as I'm hankering after cheesy enchilladas which is a huge no no.

Had a good day yesterday - about 17 syns what with the half bottle of wine I'm still loosing though. I don't mind if I do it a bit more slowly. When I've been too harsh withself in the past I've fallen of the waggon and given up completely.

Off to work out why Ds has suddenly gone quiet. As if I don;t know!

ILoveStripeySocks · 11/11/2009 08:58

CC - I have emailed you x That veg & noodle dish was really tasty, and sooooo filling! I shouldnt have had chicken with it - i didnt need it!

RIA - I hope you feel better soon. do you have a xmas target? Id liek to hit a stone lost by then. 7lbs to go!

littleoldme - ha ha hope your DS didnt cause too much troble! YOu hav ethe rigth attitude, slow & steady is the best, especially if it helps you stick to the plan.

ameRIAcansmooth · 11/11/2009 10:14

I "restarted my journey" on the website this week. I've put my first PAT as a stone, would love to do it before xmas. (sad thing is, most of it is what I've put back on in the last month) I find it hard to look at each small goal as an achievemnt sometimes, when my ultimate goal is such a big one.

Have just eaten a massive breakfast. Am going to make fruit salad this morning.

ILoveStripeySocks · 11/11/2009 10:19

my ultimate goal is too huge to even think about, so I dont! I have set myself 3 goals, and once I have those Ill add anotehr three. They were ..

drop below next stone
lose 7lbs
lose 10lbs

Ive now doen 1 & 2, so have now added drop below the next stone & drop a dress size. I really think it helps to set small achievable goals. Id probably go mad if I thought about justteh one main goal

ameRIAcansmooth · 11/11/2009 11:26

thanks stripey.

I have set 3 goals, inspired by you.

  1. Drop below next stone (this is the biggest one!)
  2. Lose 1/2 stone
  3. Lose 3.5lb (this takes me to my club 10)

DH staggered downstairs to tell me he thinks he's got what I have and he's staying in bed. The luxury of being a man! I've made him cancel his training course tonight though. He is not spending all day in bed ill and then buggering off out as soon as the DCs are all home.
