good luck today x

Fruitgums · 22/10/2009 12:55

Thanks, so far so good x

ConnieComplaint · 22/10/2009 22:27

Well done on the good day FG Home made biccies are the work of the devil

I think I have about another 16/17lb to lose, but will see nearer that weight how I feel.

I got the new mag last night, there's lots of great ideas for Christmas meals, although in my estimation, if you do an EE day you can't go far wrong..... though the free foods aren't my problem....it's the half stone of stuffing I have to eat

I've just had a nice slice of scan bran, topped with a spoonful of fromage frais with a satsums on top - was tasty & sweet enough to have with a cup of coffee. Had saved a HE to eat with a coffee but my shit darling husband seems to have scoffed the lot eaten them all.......

Dazmum · 23/10/2009 10:01

Hi all, I heard at group this week that Extra Easy is going to be the main plan after Christmas.

After much upping and downing around the same old numbers, I managed half a pound off on Wednesday. I was glad of it, but felt that with all the effort I had put in, i.e writing everything down, synning everything and being very truthful and a bit of exercising, it should have been more!I don't know if it's psychological or whatever, but I just seem to swell up and feel heavier on weigh in day! Is it just me?

StrawberriesandCherries · 23/10/2009 10:29

You know what Dazman - I felt like that in the weigh in queue on Wednesday, I felt quite light as i was in the paying queue, then seemed to gain weight as i was stood waiting in the weigh queue, almost felt myself balooning up! How stupid is that

Dazmum · 23/10/2009 12:58

No, it's not stupid, at least two of us do it, so it must be true! For me it starts when I get out of the car and walk towards the door of the hall.... I always go for a wee and take my glasses off too, because they are really really heavy!

littleoldme · 23/10/2009 18:19

Hey all - Connie - I hope things are going better for you now.

We're having this tonight. I've replaced the butter with low fat marg and fry light. Smells delish.

I don't go to classes to classes and my friend whose scales I use in on hols so no WI for me for over a week. I'm mangaing to stick to the plan so hopefully...

sowhatis · 23/10/2009 22:29

Ive just had tooooooooooo many syns!!! ooops! no syns for me tomorrow should balance it out hopefully!!!

hope everyone is doing well xx

ConnieComplaint · 24/10/2009 13:30

Hi everyone

Had a not too bad day yesterday.

Am supposed to be eating out tonight so have been on free foods thus far today. Have done house work, washing & bathed the two smelly little people..... am still in my jammies though. Would need to shower & go to town but I can't be arsed.

I've nothing to wear tonight either. Would have worn jeans but the pair I bought were far too long & have left them in to be taken up, won't be ready til Monday.

I have a grey dress which is nice with either bright pink top under with pink tights or blue top with blue tights - though I wear the dress to work so it's not a 'going out' dress......

littleoldme · 24/10/2009 14:00

Have a fab night connie

Anyone got he password for this week. skate is no longer working X

evie2000 · 25/10/2009 08:55

hello all
just saw this thread and wanted to ask the experts! I've not done slimmers world before...any thoughts on how good it'll be for a breastfeeding mother - have a 6 week old and a 19month old. Keen to get the weight moving - last time I just ignored it for 6 months which made it much harder to lose and then got preggers again so this time want to get going on a plan I can stick to...any thoughts?

ConnieComplaint · 25/10/2009 16:12

evie, unfortunately I have no idea about that, but hopefully someone coming along later will!! Best of luck on the plan anyway!!

I went out last night - had a lovely evening with some great company....

Starters: Nada

Main meal: A huge steak with mash (prob syns in the butter)(they forgot to bring the veg or dh forgot to order it.... didn't matter, the steak was huge & there was plenty of lettuce/onion etc)

Dessert: we had 4 different types between 6 of us & I had a spoonful each.... not a lot, but prob the syns mounted up!!

And 2 huge glasses of Rose wine.............................

ho hum, I don't think I did too bad in the grand scheme of things, it could have been a lot worse....

littleoldme · 25/10/2009 16:51

Evie - I started up again when DS was about 4 months. The plan can is adapted for you , you have more healthy extras and I think you can have more syns. It only didn't work for me because I was too knackered and kept getting take-aways.
Good luck X

ameRIAcansmooth · 25/10/2009 18:27

Evie, I tried it when BF, but I also was knackered, and at the time my MN habit meant I just had to eat doritos and salsa, but I think if you are generally quite in control and motivated day-to-day (which I am not, even when not BF), then it's certainly do-able, the extra healthy extras are fairly generous, and EE didn't exist when I tried, so that might help. Good luck.

of your night out connie.

evie2000 · 25/10/2009 19:24

thank you all so much - going to find a group! The thought of getting myself together enough to get to one is a good test.
thanks again and good luck to everyone.

DragonMamiCooksPotatoes · 26/10/2009 21:23

Can I join too?

I've been doing SW EE since May & have lost 2 stone. I've got another 1/2 stone to go & the last bit seems to be hardest. (Although it was my birthday this week so there has been lots of cake - guessing that won't have helped.)

Wish I'd found this thread sooner.

ameRIAcansmooth · 26/10/2009 21:57

well done dragon mami, that's brilliant. Have you done EE all the time?

Am feeling crap and unmotivated again Was reading the mag today though (the last one - it's only just come in the post this weekend as it must have gone missing first time round) and I feel a bit more positive about trying again (after tomorrow as I think we have to visit ILs). Feeling very bloated and painful, so probably TOM on it's way (but I never know witht he dratted implant), have even got "fat" jeans on tonight though that's partially down to feeling so uncomfortable and partially down to the laundry backlog! I have the new mag to read yet too, so hopefully that will keep me going.

No dance class this week (school holidays) and don't know if I'll manage swimming as have done something painful to my shoulder

ConnieComplaint · 26/10/2009 22:13

Well done Dragon

Ria - I feel like a balloon that someone has stuck a pin into!

After getting my 2 stone goal last week I have hit rock bottom the last 2 days.... eating whatever I have got my hands on.... I am starving.

I just had a packet of crisps on my way past the cupboard - even though I know I will have gained weight this week.... it's also TOTM here & I'm craving stodge.

Tried so hard to be good on Sat night then went & blew it between yesterday & today - and there's a family size packet of maltesers in the cupboard which will be lucky to survive the night...FIL is back in hospital again, heart problems, so am slightly worried for DH, but then I'll use any excuse to be able to fill me face

ameRIAcansmooth · 26/10/2009 22:37

best wishes for your FIL connie Am not going to tell you to step away from the maltesers. If you have them (or anything else for that matter) make sure you taste it and enjoy it (rather than just stuffing it in like a robot like I do, then feeling sick and not quite knowing why afterwards)

I have even been tempted by WW this last week (I have even put the WW thread on "watched" - TRAITOR!!! and the Harcombe diet, but there is no way I could ever do that), but as it happens I haven't managed to stick to anything Am thinking I might follow the EE plan out of the magazine though (taking the thought and planning element away)

am waiting for wine and paracetamol to kick in on shoulder. I won't get any sympathy from DH though as this is what he lives with day-to-day but 10000X+. He hardly ever does any housework though - wonder if it'll work for me

DragonMamiCooksPotatoes · 27/10/2009 21:24

Yes I did the EE the whole way through. I found it easier to do the same thing all the time rather than swapping about. And it had the added advantage of not being much different to "normal" eating IYSWIM.

Miraculously I lost another 1.5lbs this week. Apparently marzipan & cake is the way forward. Just need to keep going & not fall into traps now I'm so close to target.

Good luck to everyone this week.

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 27/10/2009 22:08

Hi everyone,

By some miracle I'd lost 1/2 lb at weigh in tonight. Not had a good week and was expecting a gain.

Anyway they said in group that if you lose 1.5lbs every week up till Xmas then by Xmas you'll have lost a stone! Am determined to be good now.

I've made the mushroom pasta bake thing from the calender in this month's magazine tonight and its very nice. Free on green.

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 27/10/2009 22:09

Password this week is cheese.

ameRIAcansmooth · 27/10/2009 23:00

thanks stripey, well done. Would love to drop a stone by xmas.

bumpybecky · 27/10/2009 23:23

hello

I hope it's Ok just to jump in and post. I've done SW twice before at classes after I had dd3 and ds. I got to target both times, but have let things slip somewhat and now 10 months later realise I have got to get back in control again. I'm not going to classes as frankly my local consultant is rubbish and ds is now far too mobile to sit still for a class (I got to target before he started walking!)

I've just weighed myself on our scales and I'm 16 lb over my last target. I'd like to lose a stone by Christmas

Can anyone explain EE to me? I've never done it before. Is it that any foods free on red or green are free, but you only have one HeA and HeB each day? or have I got it wrong?!
