I've done my first day of Extra Easy today. As it says on the tin - was indeed extra easy. I don't quite understnad how the weight loss works though - let's hope it does!
Anyone one else doing EE and have any tips ?

AuntieMaggie · 11/09/2009 13:11

Third time lucky in posting this as my computer keeps playing up!

A bloke in my group has lost 5 stone in about 20 weeks doing extra easy so I think it can be great if you stick to it and remember to have a third of suprefree food with every meal.

I sometimes have an EE day, especially on the weekend when I get up late so tend to only have 2 meals.

I've put on 2 and a half pounds this week courtesy of my indulgent weekend away! Bit disappointed as I've been in the gym every day since! But then every time I have a drink I pile on the pounds so I should've know that the 5 or 6 drinks I had over the weekend would have some effect!

TitsalinaBumsquash · 11/09/2009 17:23

Im a bit fed up today, its been a lovely week and the weather is beautiful, its Friday, i have a lovely evening in watching some tv and some films with my lovely dp, i should have an Indian Takeaway to complete it but noooooooo damn diet!

Ok so i could make a syn free curry but i dont want to slave over the oven i want to be able to dial the phone and have m dinner delivered to me in 30 mins, if i had the business nous i woul start a diet frinedly takeaway service.

I have walked for 2hrs solidly today taking my kids to school in the beautiful sunshine, my thighs are in shock, i just know if they could talk they would be saying 'wtf? excersise!'

I am passing the time painintg my nails pretty colours, its the only way i can stop biting them, they have gone from bright orange to Purple and Green.

I never trust ee, if i can eat spuds and eat together i would be a guts and eat a ton of them! Plus ee isn't al lot different from my old diet minus the chocolate......

I'm back on the SW wagon. Lost 2 stone last year but have managed to put 1 stone 4 lbs back on

Just made a devine curry - sounds rank, but try it. It only takes 20-30 mins in a pan

1 onion (microwaved first for a few mins to soften)
1 tin of mushy peas (I know!)
1 tin of tomatoes
1 curry powder (I used 1 TBSPN)
dollop of fat free greek yoghurt

I also added a few chunks of sweet potato but would of added cauliflower as well if i'd of had some in.

completely syn free

nikkid21 · 11/09/2009 18:35

Have to say that EE doesn't work for me. I did it last week to ease myself in after taking the summer off of dieting and lost nothing.

My consultant says that it only works if you more than a stone to lose and you can do portion control. I'm a greedy cow and snack constantly on fruit so that's probably why it's no good for me.

On a red day today and for dinner I have a suasage casserole made with the Morrisons syn free sausages (3 syns for 1/2 pack of the tesco casserole packet mix) served with a heB portion of SW chips. Am saving syns for a large glass of red once the kids go to bed.

Password this week is bread

grinningbee · 11/09/2009 18:51

Someone slap me!

Had friends over for dinner last night. I made them a lovely SW friendly pasta dish with bacon and onions, and didn't eat any of the garlic bread (halo emoticon).

Trouble is, I made a tiramisu for pudding. I've just calculated the syns that were in the whole thing and am in a bit of shock.

The whole dish was in the region of 300 syns and there were only 4 of us.

Bloody lovely it was My main course was only 11.5 syns and with a little red wine my total was still under 20. Until pudding. Oh dear. That must be the most syn filled pudding I have ever eaten.

Better be on best behaviour till weigh in on Wednesday morning

TitsalinaBumsquash · 11/09/2009 19:34

Don't warry, last year on my Birthday i ate a whole family size bar of Galaxy, you know the really big ones. It had around 500 syns in it, that was after i had eaten my bodywieght in Chineese food and drank a lot of Beer. about 2000 Syns in total, i left sw before i could be wieghed....

tits, that sounds like me every other night at the moment I do get annoyed with myself as I do well lose a stone etc, then have a bad day, which turns into a bad week, bad month....its like Im going out of my way to put on weight when im in this frame of mind, I literally binge on everything then feel rubish about myself after

AuntieMaggie · 12/09/2009 18:13

I am struggling again for motivation. DP is going away this week and I think knowing how hard it's going to be to eat properly has already had a mental effect if that makes sense?!

I also have a hard week coming up work wise, and will be working when I come home in the evening too as I have something I need to do.

So, I am going to have mainly red meals this week so having mince, chicken, pork chops and salmon in the freezer can anyone suggest how to cook these in a way that doesn't take long and accompaniments that are red friendly that even lazy old me can manage?

PurlyQueen · 12/09/2009 20:54

What?? They have syn-free sausages at Morrisons?

Are they Morrison's own brand?

nikkid21 · 13/09/2009 11:36

Morrisons Eat Smart Diet, Pork Sausages, Less Than 3% Fat, 8 pack, chilled - FREE on red, 3 syns on greed

Morrisons Eat Smart Diet, Cumberland Pork Sausages, 8 pack, chilled 57g each - Red 1/2 syns each

Morrisons Eat Smart Diet, Lincolnshire Sausages, Less Than 3% Fat, 8 pack, chilled 57g each
1/2 syn each

AuntieMaggie - I do mince in the slow cooker with some tinned tomatoes and herbs for a spag bol with a hEB of pasta. Or colemans packet shepherd pie mix (5 syns) topped with mashed swede instead of potaoes.

Chicken is generally wrapped in bacon and served with an egg and heB of sw chips.

Salmon I do wrapped in foil with slivers of garlic or some ginger and have with veggie stirfry.

PurlyQueen · 13/09/2009 18:24

@nikkid21 Thanks! I'll fill my trolley with them tomorrow!

nikkid21 · 13/09/2009 19:17

They are not the tastiest in the world but are a damn sight better than the quorn jobbies. Not bad in a suasage casserole or if you zing them up with a dollop of bbq sauce. My grouup leader paints hers with marmite before cooking them

DH and the kids won't eat them - they like the spensive pork & apple type ones.

letsgostrawberrypicking · 13/09/2009 19:57

Tried the weightwatchers brownie mix - 3.5 syns per piece and it's really yummy!

PurlyQueen · 13/09/2009 21:15

I tried some quorn chicken tikka pieces - they tasted rank .

Does a WW point equal one syn?

Furball · 13/09/2009 21:40

Purleyqueen - no, both are completely different

tullytwo · 14/09/2009 08:10
