Gave birth to dd2 4.5 months ago and since then I have lost 2st2lbs of the 3st I put on in pg. I would like to be slimmer than I was when I conceived though, so ideally have about 22lbs left to go.
It would really help me to have a pal or two to chivvy me along.
Any takers?

OH god! I am drinking wine... far too much! Not looking forward to weigh in!

Good luck!

applemummy · 29/05/2005 18:09

hello

Can I join in? I've lost the baby weight after ds3 but would love another stone off before the summer... I keep doing well all week and then go horribly wrong at the weekend! 10'5 at the moment and longing for 9'5

dinny · 30/05/2005 07:26

hi Applemummy - you sound like me! and we weigh the same too! 9.5 seems a long way off, doesn't it? think it will be easier when/if go under 10 stone....
thanks for the welcome, everyone

applemummy · 30/05/2005 09:44

Hi Dinny

I know what you mean about 10 stone.. 5lbs doesn't seem like alot but it seems to be taking forever to get there. Still feeling confident this time and 9 stone here we come!

dinny · 31/05/2005 09:50

how long do you think it'll take to get under 10, Applemummy? If we are good, that is....?

Tabs · 31/05/2005 10:45

Furball, spotted that you've recently joined Slimming World and wanted to say do pop over and join us on the Slimming World thread too.

Good luck to one and all!

sassy · 31/05/2005 10:47

Hi - can I join you? DD2 is 10 weeks old and I really need to lose about 12lbs to get down to 10.5 st and want to get rid of the flab round my middle. Have next to no willpower and find it hard to resist choc and puddings and pick at DD1's tea. Going on hols on 2nd July and would like to be able to get into last years summer clothes and bikini!

Toothache · 31/05/2005 11:14

Can I join in too?

I was 78 kilos after dd was born (10mths ago). I now weigh 73.6kilos.... I'm doing it in kilos coz it doesn't seem to hurt as much as stone and pounds!

Ideally I want to lose another 10 kilos.... I think that would take me down to just under 10 stone.

weesaidie · 31/05/2005 11:46

Oh dear, weigh in tomorrow!

Feck.

Hopefully I over estimated my weight before! Don't have scales so will have to go to Boots or something!

albert · 31/05/2005 12:43

Oh, can I join you please? It took me 5 years (yes really) to get to my pre DS weight so it sounds like you lot are doing great already! I weigh in at 55kgs (no idea what that is in lbs sorry) and would like to be 52kgs or less. I walk to work every day, about 25 mins each way (no cars in Venice)I've given up alcohol during the week (lost 2kgs in first week and none therafter) and have been swimming for the past 2 weekends (all I got from that was head lice but that's another story). My problem, apart from HUGE amounts of sugary things, is that we keep having visitors and so I always cook 3 course meals and serve with heaps of alcohol, still, if I can cut down on the sugar it might help. Oh, and I've just switched to skimmed milk too. Good luck everyone!

Toothache · 31/05/2005 12:52

Albert - that only equates to about 8 and half stone! Are you sure you need to lose another few punds.... that would put you under 8stone.

tiffini · 31/05/2005 13:44

I have not been very strict with myself this week.........dreading the weigh in tomorrow.

Ipromise i will be exeptionaly good next week

applemummy · 31/05/2005 14:21

Dinny maybe three really good (!) weeks and we could be under 10 stone.. however am off for a few days to Germany to stay with friends on Thursday so am just aiming not to put any on while I am there. We will get there by the summer though I am positive.

Looking forward to the weigh in tomorrow with some trepidation as have just been out to lunch and eaten way too much chocolate krispie cake...... Should never finish ds's lunch!

dinny · 31/05/2005 14:47

God, that is motivating, Applemummy. I went for a run with ds in his buggy at 6am this morning as he had such a restless night. Then walked to gym and did 45 min on X-trainer. feel v smug. just had better not ruin in by guzzling this evening. have no willpower - how the hell does everyone a. stop picking at children's tea and b. relax without a glass (or 5!) of vino.
hello to everyone, btw.

applemummy · 31/05/2005 18:46

Heavens Dinny how are you not 9 stone already...

Have managed not to finish ds's tea but mainly because they didn't leave any. Am planning to go to the gym tonight but with me planning and going often don't meet but with weigh in day tomorrow maybe I might just get there!

tiredemma · 31/05/2005 18:48

ill join please, am 9st 2lbs now, want to lose at least 1/2stone by end of the month. Look like a busted old sofa at the mo.

dinny · 31/05/2005 20:44

wish I was, Applemummy
Tiredemma, how tall are you? I'd LOVE to be 9.2!

tiredemma · 31/05/2005 21:58

Im just 5' would love to get back to when i was 7st 8lbs- i have too many good clothes that i will not throw out - im determined to squeeze back into them, but look good!!!!

sassy · 01/06/2005 08:00

OK ladies, thanks for coming..Just leave your coats on the hooks in the corner..Now if you could form an orderly queue by the scales...

dinny · 01/06/2005 08:45

Morning Sassy - hmmm, I weigh exactly the same as a few days ago (but I did join this thread after the first weigh-in, so am I excused....?)
Still 10.5, will try harder next week, honestly, Marjorie

applemummy · 01/06/2005 09:36

Sassy aka Marjorie..

Have managed 3lbs (hooray!!) which sort of makes up for being up all night with vomiting 3yr old ds (at least he got dh too.....).
