JODIEwantsanewname · 29/04/2009 10:22

Hi all,

ceebee glad you had a good day

Dozy I've been thinking the same, I tried a dress on yesterday that I bought and wore when I was 10st3lbs, yet it fits me lovely at 11st3lbs!!!! I think having babies seriously messes things up!!!

Anyway, I;ve lost 1.5lbs this week!!!! Yeah

(dozy) Did you get your i-phone yet?)

Ceebee74 · 29/04/2009 11:46

Jodie well done

I completely agree - I am about 7lbs heavier than I was at my lightest in between the 2 babies (iyswim) yet I am now fitting quite comfortably into clothes that I had no chance of wearing in between babies So am half a stone heavier but thinner But, my belly is still much bigger than it was then (I always had a reasonably flat belly - even after DS1 was born although DS2 has soon put a stop to that ) so I guess that might be where the weight is??

Dozy they always tell you to go with your clothes and how they fit and not the scales

Just another point - do you get many people commenting on your weight loss? I have hardly had anyone comment on it but I would have thought a (nearly) 2 stone loss would be fairly noticeable Or is it just that other people aren't interested ??

JODIEwantsanewname · 29/04/2009 12:17

ceebee Not one person has commented on mine, and I'm about it!!!!! Maybe it's to be expected after having a baby so no one thinks it strange? It's horrible though isn't it! All that effort!

Ceebee74 · 29/04/2009 12:27

Jodie it is horrible - not that I am expecting everyone to be actually that interested - but occasionally it would nice for someone to notice and recognise the hard work!

I went on a training course yesterday and one of my colleagues was there - I have shared an office with her for about 5 years so we know each other quite well. I haven't seen her since just after DS2 was born so you would think she may have noticed a little difference.....did she heck

Anyway, that is my rant over for the day

FiveGoMadInDorset · 29/04/2009 12:29

Well done all on your weight losses and inch losses as well.

I am off to the Doctor tomorrow hopefully for some help, my life is going in viscious circles at the moment and I think I need some outside help or at least someone professinal to talk to. I will keep posting here if it is Ok with you all.

JODIEwantsanewname · 29/04/2009 12:59

Five I hope you are OK? can we help at all?

Dozymare · 29/04/2009 19:51

five talk to us lovely......we are here for you......weight loss is more than just calorie counting, I am really noticing that I am a self saboter having kept on this thread.....good week, followed by bad week etc etc this is what I am trying to address.....my mental attitude towards weight loss....

Sorry about that post, went to see the doctor today who was lovely and gave me some Reductil. I had a long chat with her and got some things of my chest. I am finding it extremely difficult at the moment to find time to exercise which is a lot of the problem but I did manage to get out for an hour yesterday to walk the dog. I think it is just a busy time of year with B&B's, trying to do last years books (done and off the the accountants tomorrow) and trying to sort the tip of my house out which always gets me down. I didn't sleep well the other night as I started panicking when I thought that our tenants were moving out next week and I had to find money for the mortgage but they have another 2 months to go and the agents are already showing people round it so I feel incredibly stupid.

And finally having given up smoking 18 months ago I admitted that I am comfort eating instead at times of anxiety and stress, we are struggling with DD and potty training, she doesn't seem to basically care when she wets herself (Doctor also said this morning that 10% of 3-4 year olds are like this to don't panic) and she did it yetserday and I immediately put on some toast with Nutella.

So the tablets I am on are an appetite suppressant to help me get out of that cycle and I am also thinking of going to a hypnotherapist to break me out of the picking cycle (she sorted my smoking out) and as I told the Doctor I don't want to be stick thin I want a kick start for a while and then come of them to see if I can maintain and lose again on my own.

Wow that was long thank you for reading and dozy did you get a nice email yesterday?

Dozymare · 30/04/2009 14:24

five what a brave lady you are. I agree with you that weight loss is far more psychological than just simply calorie counting as my post of yesterday demonstrates.

Am very proud of you and I am sure all the other ladies on this thread are.

Didn't get an email.....what was it about?!
