Hi guys, well I've staye the same again this week BUT even though that sounds bad, I had a sneaky peak in the week and had put on 1.5lbs, so I was super good for 2 days and, wow-wee baby, it's gone

I also went back to BC last night, after missing 2 weeks with my poorly knee, and loved it, want to do it again tonight, but can't (no class and no childcare!) I missed it soo much!

I'm off to sunny Spain tomorrow with a friend, until Monday to see my mum and dad (No children!) So I expect to eat drink and be (very) merry!!!!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 01/04/2009 17:31

Hi All

Well done on losses and Jodie have a fab time on holiday.

Today I have done a 2.7 mile walk with the dog, so feeling good about that. I also have an appointment booked with the doctor as although have been sticking within the calories I am very much struggling to lose weight.

Dozymare · 02/04/2009 07:08

jodie better to stay the same than put on...

Well done five on your walking, deffo get your thyroid checked, mine was borderline for years but I really struggled with my weight. After DS2, I saw a specialist and it was massively underactive, plus I had the metabolism of a 70 year old so no wonder I wasn't losing any weight!

good luck, I have been supergood this week as want to lose 2lbs, haven't even weighed myself which is a first (although a sneaky peek on monday showed i was the same)

Will let you all know tomorrow!

jodie have a fab holiday and worry about your diet when you get home again!!

Dozy how are you feeling? Are you back to your usual self yet? Good luck tomorrow.

Doing ok here this week - am feeling good (I have had a sneaky look at the scales ) but I have probably jinxed it now and the scales will shoot back up by Saturday. I actually have enough calories left today to have 100g cheese in a pitta bread for lunch....can't wait. Cheese is the one thing I have stopped eating as it is not worth the calories most of the time but as I have spare calories today (and nothing else in the house ) I am going to enjoy every mouthful!!

Have a good day all - enjoy the sunshine. Might even get off my backside and take Sam for a walk this afternoon somewhere other than picking DS1 up from nursery!!

Dozymare · 02/04/2009 16:39

ceebee I am eating cheese most days - that is what I use my exercise allowance on. I love cheese. Am a bit worried about tomorrow, have been really, really good this week, not weighed since Monday (when I was the same, grr) but I have a night out with the girls tonight and we are going for a curry. now I know I can order chicken tikka and salad, but I have got enough cals left (1,560) to have a bit more than that. Trouble is, I am worried it will show in my weigh in tomorrow. What would you all do?????

OP posts:
Ceebee74 · 02/04/2009 16:59

Dozy I think I would splash out and have something a little bit more than chicken tikka (although have you included wine in your calculations ?) - if you can afford the calories, then do it (but maybe compromise and have boiled rice but a nicer sauce iyswim).

Cheese every day?? Wow - I never seem to have enough calories left for that (something to do with the creme egg I eat every day ). I have been having camembert or halloumi maybe once a week but they seem to be lower in cals than good old cheddar...anyway, I had my cheese pittas and they were delicious!!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 02/04/2009 17:37

Have a blow out then that is me, but agree, boiled rice and none of the bits and pieces but that is difficult. Enjoy your night out.

I have to say I am not a big cheese eater so not missing it at all.

And another long dog walk today. It was so warm outside.

Dozymare · 03/04/2009 07:46

grr- had a lovely time last night, but have STAYED the same which I am NOT happy about as was so, so good this week. Last night, I had chicken in a mango sauce (no cream based) onion bhaji, a few pops with onion salad and plain rice. I did have a fair few glasses of beer though.

anyway, onwards and upwards, at least it wasn't a weight gain. Need to get back into my exercising which am missing so much, but still don't feel up for it. Plus, it's the holidays so childcare is impossible....

aargghhh...

Ceebee74 · 03/04/2009 08:51

Dozy sorry but we've all been there I think - being really good and the scales not showing it - so frustrating isn't it??

I would love to do an experiment where I eat EXACTLY the same for a week and do the EXACTLY the same amount of exercise and see what happened to my weight - I can guarantee that I wouldn't lose the same amount of weight both weeks....the female body is a very strange thing!

DH has been away 5 days this week so my exercise opportunities have been very limited as well.

DozY beer is notoriously calorie laden so well done you for staying the same

Riven good luck for next week

I managed 2lbs

Ceebee74 · 03/04/2009 13:29

Five well done

Riven am sure the scales will show a loss next week

I am gutted - just been to do the weekly shop to Sainsburys - had a look at that offer of 'Dine in for £5'. Picked up the healthiest main course and side dish and thought I would treat us to the raspberry cheesecake for pudding tonight - just got home and the cheesecakes have vanished They are not on the receipt so they must have got lost somewhere on the conveyor belt - so not only am I missing my yummy pudding, I have paid full price for the main course and side dish - am not happy!!

Do you think someone is trying to tell me something about eating pudding

Dozymare · 03/04/2009 19:35

well done five riven I am feeling your pain at staying the same...I have been at the same weight now for 2 weigh in's and it is so frustrating.

Let's stay on track though for this week, we are surely both sue a big loss!!!

(although just had cheese and salad cream pitta pockets and 10 quality street )

Lost 3lbs - bearing in mind I have done nothing different this week than the weeks I have lost only 1lb or not at all, this weight loss business makes no sense

Anyway, I have acheived 2 of my goals today - to get under 200lbs and to lost a stone and a half.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 04/04/2009 10:30

Well done. don't question just accept

LadyBuzz · 05/04/2009 09:24

Well done Five & Ceebee!

I lost 1lb, Not a great surprise I have been relatively good all week and fell well and truly off the wagon with pink wine Friday night AND last night!

I really need to get back on track properly, I NEED this dress to fit properly but the start of June!

Good vibes for everyone for this weeks weigh ins

Dozymare · 05/04/2009 09:54

Ladies please may I join you?

I am still BFing my 8 month old but the weight just keeps piling on and I'm getting really depressed about it.

I am currently 14st 8lbs , there I've said it now.

We are going on holiday in the middle of June and at the moment none of the clothes I have for summer fit me and I can't afford to buy a whole new wardrobe. I need to lose 1.5 stone by then, and that will just be the start. I also go back to work straight after that and can't fit into any of my work clothes either - and I don't want to go back looking huge and awful, I'm depressed enough about going back as it is and the thought of going back as I am now just makes me want to cry.

Does anyone else follow WLR while BFing? I'm looking at it and thinking that I should add in an 'exercise' of 500 cals per day to allow for the feeding? Has anyone done anything similar?

Ceebee74 · 06/04/2009 14:53

Alibaba welcome to this thread

I am sure you can lose 1.5 stone by June ( or something near it) - in the first 12 weeks of doing WLR, I lost 20lbs

After I had had DS1, I ended up having to buy a whole new wardrobe to go back to work as I was 2 stone heavier - it really does feel rubbish!

This time round, when I go back to work in September, I am determined to need a whole new wardrobe for a much better reason

Not sure about the bf issue - it may be worth e-mailing the WLR help team - I am sure they can advise you.

Dozymare · 07/04/2009 08:32

Hi alibaba and welcome ceebee is right, you can lose that by June......I started at 15st 11lbs and am now 14st 2lbs so it can be done!! I started on the 6th jan and unfortunately am on a bit of a plateau for the last 2 weeks (although I did lose 7lbs in 2 weeks when was in hospital) so I suspect it is just my body balancing itself out. This thread is a great support, I think we have all got seriously bored/hacked off/demotivated at some stage, but have kept each other going!!

As for BF, you do need an extra 500cals a day so maybe do a search on the forum or ask the helpteam??? Otherwise you could set your activity level to super high which may take that into account and give you more cals???? Probably best to ask helpteam though!!!

I have had my usual bad weekend (what is it with me and weekends?) but back on track now until Friday. However, no chance to exercise this week as DH away and can't afford to put all 3 kids in the creche at the gym.
