Hi shelly and mandy and good luck with ww. I find that writing everything i eat down keeps me on track, and at the end of the day, if i lie, it is me i am cheating - if you understand.
I started at 16st last new year (2004) and managed to lose 2 st on my own last year, then i gave up smoking and put loads back on, and decided to join ww.
Dior, what dress size were you when you started? You have done so well. I was 20, now a baggy 18 but i refuse to buy any new clothes yet!

mandyc66 · 15/06/2005 09:26

Morning!!
I think writing it down is a good idea..its suprising how much you can eat without thinking! I remember being so pleased because I had eaten such a healthy lunch but forgot to mention last nights left over pizza I nibbled on every time I went into the kitchen!!!!

ark · 15/06/2005 11:51

Golly - you go away for a few hours you come back and there are lots of exciting new people hello mummyof3,shelley and Mandy. Certainly this is a helpful thread as you can be absolutely honest about what you've been doing whereas I have been known to tell little fibs to my ww leader! I do hope the exercise is make a difference to body shape if not weight am aiming for 4 -5 sessions a week at the mo and suceeding! Anyways it will all come out at weigh in tomorrow!

mandyc66 · 15/06/2005 12:48

just about to have a kfc!!!! hubby away from tonight so its our treat!!! Will not have chips though.Aim to have salad if they still do it

mummydreamer · 15/06/2005 19:05

Hello everyone - have decided to brave yet another diet and thought that i might find some support here!!!! Had a start weight of (gulp) 13 stone 1 but hoping to lose 1-2lbs a week on a weight watchers no count programme - nothing drastic as still breastfeeding. Managed a good first week last week but bombed today when friend brought around cookies - after a week with virtually no sugar, felt positively sick after 2! Craving anything high fat - like camembert/ kfc/nandos chicken aaaahhhh

mandyc66 · 15/06/2005 19:10

Hi md. Did you manage to put weight on whilst bf?! Evryone told me you couldnt...but I did!!!
I think your target loss is about right. I think if it comes off steady it stays off! I get fed up though when people start a diet one week and loose half a stone in a week.
Good luck and whenyou feel a cheat coming on remember we are all in it together!!!

God shelly - you're keen aren't you! I started weight watchers when dd was 18mths!
Dior that is fantastic - you are my inspiration now! I will never get to a size 6/8 - i am aiming for a comfortable 14.
I had an amazing thought whilst lying in bed this morning - i have lost the weight of dd! And i think she weighs a tonne! I feel really please with myself now, and despite a naughty weekend i have been extra good and might just have lost a little!
I've got another weekend away this weekend - when i was fat and eating what i liked i never seemed to go out - now i am never in!

Hi Guy's,
well i went and got weighed this morning....1 an 1/2 off, which brings me down to 10.13 an 1/2...am sooo pleased to be under 11, got my second silver 7, kids where happy too which is gr8, when they come out of school and its the first thing they ask, makes me feel very supported, which i need a lot of at the mo...

ark · 17/06/2005 10:04

well done mof3, that is great - I gained apound which is wrong wrong considering how much exercise I did and have been eating well!! However bigger picture is that I feel a lot happier with self and a lot fitter which was the overall aim so just keeping on going!!

Is apparently going to be very hot today although I have to say looking out the office window is looking very grey! Humm well busy day ahead will check back in later

ooo

dior I was just wondering, have you ever been this weight before?

mandyc66 · 17/06/2005 13:56

ark · 17/06/2005 14:36

mandy well done!

fee77 · 17/06/2005 14:45

Well done mummyof3 and mandy - i lost 1lb - grand total now 23lb, weight today 13st 2lb. I can't wait to be under 13!
And well done ark, staying positive despite putting on. Is it near your time of the month? That affects my weight, i think it is to do with water retention (and in my case having a sly chocolate bar!)

mandyc66 · 17/06/2005 17:10

Well done all of you!!
I have reached that magic blaaa stone 7lb!!! I always think it feels good then when you get under that half stone mark its heaven!!!!
my scales are those solar thingies so can only get weighed when its bright!!!

ark · 17/06/2005 17:18

Hi all, welcome to all new comers. you've come to the right place for motivation and support!
lost 0.5 lbs this week, anything off at this stage is great, but my friend who comes with me lost 4 lbs and she has been really off track the past 2 weeks, eating everything in sight, she even skipped weigh in last week she was so bad, so tell me how is that possible?? so un-just, as i was very good and only lost 0.5?????
have to admit i've really been off track since and am really pee'd off at the mo, have dd's b-day party today and am scared i'll eat all in sight! HELP NEEDED URGENTLY!!!!

anyway, on "lighter" note, Fee77, just thought about what you said and i've also lost the weight of ds (16mths) he's 1st 9lbs so that makes me feel a little better!

well done to all of you on your loss,
Ark, keep the faith! you're doing great!

mandyc66 · 18/06/2005 22:05

how was the party? How does anyone resist birthday cake?!!!

Its hard isnt it to be good always!!
Try to be good on a few days then increase the days.
Allow yourself a couple of days off
