That is fantastic dior - well done! I am so chuffed for you - but don't leave us.
I lost 1/2 lb this week but i have been really naughty. I ate so many biscuits yesterday that i felt sick, but i am due on and was fed up. Hey ho! At least i kept off the fags.
I have just had my hair cut and am going to meet family that i haven't seen since christmas tomorrow so hopefully i will get a compliment or two to give me a boost.
Well done again dior, and i hope you had a good weekend - where are you based, i might come to your meetings!

Berries · 20/05/2005 15:37

Fantastic Dior - you deserve it. I'm not going to be going to ww for a number of weeks as have broken my foot & got it in plaster Hardest part is going to be the boredom. Can't even stand on the scales at the mo as not allowed to put my foot down. Am def going to try not to put weight on, but not sure how easy that's going to be if I can't exercise. May have to ask for help now & again!

Hi all. big hearty well done to you dior,
huge achievement and well deserved!
Wud also love to join your class but alas im here in south east ireland so unless you're based around here?? anyway, a word on ww leaders, have had experience of a total B*h leader, now girls this woman would make you feel so small if you gained a pound that you'd leave the class and head for the nearest chippie. i remember a class after xmas when one member had gained 9lbs over the xmas, ww leader asked her what went wrong to which she replied "i had alot of visitors over the period" leader then said very loudly "what did you do? eat your visitors"
poor girl was mortified!!
so needless to say, she wasnt a very good leader and it's taken me so long (re-joined with her 4 times) to realise that maybe she was the reason why i never stuck with the programme long enough to get to goal weight. I joined a different class at the end of march and whereas weight is comin off slowly i think this time i can do it..
leader is lovely and praises every half pound you lose
sorry seem to be in the mood for long chat!!!
anyway, i lost half pound this week, was hoping for more as had a good week, but its better than nothing eh?
well done to all others on loss

munz · 21/05/2005 12:21

hiya guys, can I join u please?

i'm currently TTC and have decided to loose about 3 stone to be a respectable 8 st (would like at least 2 to be happy 3 is ambitious I know)

last week was my first week did really well and lost 5 lb, this week i'll be lucky for 2lb I think as i've eaten a few points too many than what I should do. Have found WW eclairs to be a god send esp after swimming which I do twice a week for an hour each time, am also getting a trampette thingy to see if that helps shift some weight. i'm finding it hard thou to do it and stick to as I do meal plans each week but now it's end oft he month and shopping's not till thurs i'm struggaling. any ideas on how to make my 20 point's really lasty as also this week i've been V V hungry and wanting to et mini milky ways!

well done to all those who have lost a lot of weight.

honestly I don't know i'm not attending any classes at the minute more doing it from home with the support of work mates as there's a few of us doing it, this week I lost another 3 lb bringing me to 8lb in 2 weeks, only another 7 till I loose 10%, I'm aiming for 3/4 weeks for that if it's realistic?

in all honesty that's what i've been doing, and having ham salad's etc only using 1/2 a point (normally with a slice of bread as well thou.)

does anyone know of the 8 glasses u r ment to drink of water a day - how big does the glass have to be as a lady I work with seems to think it's a half pint glass, i'm trying to drink at least 4 american sized glasses per day (about 3/4 pint)

fee77 · 24/05/2005 08:20

I love the ww cookbooks - you can get some of the older ones on ebay. I sit down every sunday night with my books and plan all the weeks meals and do one big shop on a monday, getting fresh stuff as and when i need it.
I survived the party, and was doing really well till the puddings came out! But i am being extra good this week to make up for it. I had a couple of glasses of one (big ones!) as well. Life would be very boring if we weren't naughty occassionally!
Hey dior i am an essex girl too! I live in romford.

linnywith2 · 24/05/2005 21:35

Dior, this leader needs more than re-training, she could do woth a personality transplant!!
im not the only one who found her to be rude and obnoxious, lots did, she was nice to you as long as you were losing weight but not if you maintained or gained,
anyway enough about the witch! i've been ok this week, not brilliant but not too bad either, weighed in at 11-1 last week, am really hoping to get under 11 this week, even 10st-13.5 lbs would thrill me to the bone!
welcome to thread munz,
fee77, you sound so so organised, i cant plan ahead at all. but im about as un-organised a person as your likely to come across in your lifetime!

Lost 3lbs this week....making a total of 3 stones!!! Horah!!!! Im so pleased.

Dior, well done, and no doubt you will be a diamond leader....you are on Mumsnet!

berny7 · 25/05/2005 21:38

Hi everyone

Not been about for a week or so so just catching up. Welcome Munz! The recipe books off ebay is a great idea from dior & fee - it's how I started off.

Dior - I'm pleased to hear the leader-role is going well. I'm sure you're doing fab!

DP is watching the footy so I've been to the gym! So into it at the moment, sounds silly, but the getting weighed bit doesn't seem to be top priority when I'm there - just really into the exercise/social side of it!!I'm going to give it another intensive fortnight & get weighed then Last weigh in I was 10st 9lb so I think 2-3lb would be a nice amount to lose. I've even started going to the gym on a Sunday morning & a friday after work (which I've never done before!!!)

Having WW buddies at my new job is helping too! One girl is doing switch & has lost 8lb in her first 2 weeks. I'm thinking of giving it a go too. Has anyone else tried it & how did you all get on??

ttfn

linnywith2 · 30/05/2005 21:48

hi all.. well done to all on your brilliant loss
wozzle wow! 3 stones!! that is brill, am so amazed! and Dior a size 6?????
not in my wildest dreams could i imagine being a 6! 12 would be glorious and am feeling pretty optomistic about it
Lost 3 lbs last week and.. am finally under 11 st!! am thrilled, now weigh 10st 12lbs, know im no light weight but i feel it!
starting weight was 12-5 so i feel im doing well and so am going to keep it up,
having said all that, was not so good at the weekend, ds was in hospital with virus and spent the weekend with him, ate rubbish all weekend in order to make myself feel better and of course it did momentarily, but today, we're home and im bloated and sluggish, but thrilled that ds is ok so im back on track today, have until thurs to undo some of the bad i've done
Dior one last thing hon, have confidence in yourself, you are going to be a brilliant leader
and definetly a diamond!

SIZE 6!!!! No way! I wouldn't get my thigh in a size 6 skirt!
After my naughtiness at the party last week i managed to lose an incredible 5 lbs!! I had had my period too, which always helps to boost the weight loss! We went to the harvester to celebrate, so i am back to being really good again but we are off for a long weekend in somerset next weekend so i am in for a difficult week and a half!
Linny glad ds is better, don't worry if you gained weight, at times like that it is all about survival.
Dior - don't let that woman get to you. Slip on your size 6's and stun them!
