Hi guys!

Sorry I've not been around for a bit! I used to log on here at work, but I've just started a new job with a strict email/internet policy so not been able to check!

Job going great, people are fab! Everyone has the body of a pixie and it's kinda inspired me! I've joined the gym, been swimming nearly every day & off to body pump later this afternoon!

I am, however, mortified to discover that they have a "treat" table, which is always full of biccies, choccies & sweets. I did so well all week, but on Friday I wolfed 4 biscuits (including a club) & 4 squares of choc! Not so good.

Feeing very motivated exercise-wise but not so motivated eating wise, but I'm kinda hoping the two will balance out. Daren't get weighed this weekend after the biccie/choc fiasco but will do next weekend!!

Hi all, hope you have had good weekends. Managed a BBQ last night and made chicken skewers with Peanut sauce and salmon with Teriaki sauce - all from ww recipe book chicken is 5 points and salmon about 4 so all good and had with salad!! Yum scrum defo would recommend for when the BBQ season hits. Off to aqua aerobics this lunch time for the first time. I have very little co-ordination so this should be interesting! and alos have had this annoying new haircut - the front won't o up in a pony!! Catch up later

a x

good luck with the aqua aerobics ark! You'll have to let me know how that went. Never really appealed to me - for the same reason - i have no co-ordination!!

Body pump went well - apparently, it is the new way of shifting fat pronto & losing weight in record time! So we'll see. I do prefer the swimming tho, have to admit!

Dior - you're right about the tunnel vision. I did so well all week. Why is it when we get to the weekend/friday - all good intentions go out the window? Craziness!

Just had a fab lolly & now going to indulge in a small glass of wine (even though it'll take me 2 points over) I deserve it! Just had an exam so it's my treat!

BTW - why do orange juice & yoghurts have to contain points? It's so unfair - just when you think you're being good!!

Hi all..

Ark.. wud love recipe for chicken skewers in peanut sauce.. sounds yum and dont have ww cook book yet, if you wouldnt mind..
Welcome back berny

ark · 10/05/2005 10:04

Linny - no probs - I get online at work so will bring it in tomorrow and type up - really very quick. Reporting back on the Aqua aerobics - I really enjoyed it - while I was doing it - it was hard but I didn't feel like 'this is stressful' but afterwards by god everything hurts!! I have this real issue about being hot- red in the face' when I excerise (yes I know thats the point) but coz I have exzema it hurts any way to cut a long story short in the water coz I can dip my face in felt fresh but excercised!! Certainly would recommend if you like swimming or just like being in water. I have a bollywood movie dance class tonight so by tomorrow I won't be able to walk!! Any way I've rambled for long enough -catch up later.

berny7 · 11/05/2005 18:43

I think that's why some weeks I seem to lose more than others Dior! I mean, for an extra half a point, I'd rather have a curly wurly than a standard yoghurt - even though a yoghurt is much better for you!!

Just been for a swim & feeling energised. Only eaten 8 points so far, minus 4 for the swimming. A low point stir fry & that'll be me done (Making myself sound very well behaved, but actually counteracting the naughtiness of the italian I went for last night!!)

ark - I love swimming for the same reason, you don't get that red in the face, sweaty feeling so I may give Aqua Aerobics a try too!

Oh - and by way of an update I have totally avoided the naughty table since Friday. Today, I had a viscount biccie (seemed to be the healthiest thing on there). How many points is a viscount biscuit please?? I'm guessing 2-3??

linny - I keep on forgetting to bring in the recipe - not in office tomorrow so will remember for Monday - sorry! Would forget my head if it were not screwed on! Weigh in today - it will be luck more than judgement if I have lost anything! I have only managed to do my aqua aerobics and my bollywood dance class this week - which just doesn't feel like enough! arggghhh will report back after lunch!

Hello guys,

Decided to re-join WW as was not being too good doing it by myself.
They sent me a leaflet to re join and not pay any missed weeks.

I think that if I pay 4.95 a week then I know I must be good, because I dont want to waste my money.

Good news anyway. Ive lost 4lbs since the last time I went...I would really like to lose another 10 lbs before my Hols in 6 weeks by then hopefully I should be a smaller-ish beach whale!!

TTFN!!!

ark · 12/05/2005 14:14

Hi Wozzle welcome back. Weigh in today- lost 1.5 lb whay - wonders will never cease!! Thats my 10%!!! Next target is the top of my BMI

Berries · 12/05/2005 15:06

Well, after having fallen off the waggon for 3 weeks, I went back to get weighed last night & have lost another 0.5 lb. Not much, but at least it was off & not on. Had a great pep talk from the leader about not worrying about last few weeks, just looking forward so have found my motivation again. Would love to lose another stone by hols (mid Aug) & keep telling myself that 22lbs since Jan is a good loss.

ark · 12/05/2005 15:13

Berries - 22lb since Jan is fab!!!!!!! I am feeling chuffed and I've lost 17.5lb - so get with it you are doing really well and slow but sure is a great way to lose weight!

Berries · 12/05/2005 18:39

Thanks Ark, that's what I keep telling myself. Its just been a bit difficult to stay focussed these last few weeks. Amyway, congrats on getting to you 10%, you must feel great.

Help! Ive come to my Mums without my points book....does anybody know how many points r in 1 shredded wheat???

Thanks

eidsvold · 13/05/2005 11:06

well done to all who have lost. Am slowly getting there - 0.3 kg this week - makes just over 7 kg in total.

Am having a great time baking ww recipes. Dh and I like our cup of tea and cake/biscuit before bedtime. Yummy ww recipes.

My fav for now - choc banana bread

also made - lemon cake with orange icing, vanilla bites, museli slice, custard jam bites. Am going to try an apple bee sting next week.

They are so easy to make - usually knock one up whilst the girls are having their afternoon nap.

congrats to all who lost!

Dior - sorry, I don't know who makes the viscount biccies - but you can get orange & mint & they're small & round with a foil wrapper if you know which ones I mean?

Getting weighed this weekend - I'm following Dior's monthly weigh-in advice. Truth is, I can't get into town to get near any scales & don't want to buy any as will become obsessive! Wish me luck!

so snoozey - I'm off to bed now [yawning emoticon!!]

fee77 · 18/05/2005 14:44

Wher is everyone - not pigging out i hope! I only lost 1 lb last week and had been really good! I have a family do this weekend and am dreading it - how can i be on a diet at a party? Do you think they would mind if i took a packet of quavers and a laughing cow light sandwich!!!
I will start off really good and just have salad, then by the end of the eveing i will be stood next to the table, chatting and tossing mini sausage rolls in my gob every second breath!
No self control!!!
