I am having a really sort of day - you know the kind where everything you do seems a waste of time? (TOM I suppose) Had bacon (I trimmed ALL the fat off!) mushrooms and egg and 2 slices of toasted nimble bread for breakfast, and have had grapes since. I didn't get round to making the birthday cake as had to go out, so bought one instead. I did buy a massive amount of salad to go with my takeaway, I'll pass on the veg and gravy RG!

Right time for confessional.

I had a mass blowout tuesday night, I had a bottle of wine (which my points allowed) then I had about 4 vodkas (home measures of course) this tipped me over the edge and I spent yesturday feeling like shit and full of good intentions, but the booze up gave me the munchies and last night I had a curry and a peice of cake

BUT hopefully its fairly salvagable, I'm back on track today but will have to try and save 4 points a day (still puts me slighty over the pointage for the week) but hopefully a no weight gain.

I have til weigh in on monday night, so I should be able to do it.

Am I right in thinking on 24 points I can't save more than 4 a day?

happynewRia · 09/01/2009 10:02

confessions?

I actually wasn't too bad last night, didn't even have wine. But have had a crap night with DS3, am now having a crap day with DS3 and have finished off the chocolate fingers. Poor little lamb is poorly and I am really down, not a good combination

shinyshoes · 09/01/2009 10:13

Sorry to hear you've had a bad night Ria, hopefully your LO's will be feeling better soon.

Hopefully you'll stop feeling so down too (((((hugs))))

Well it's back on track (hopefully) all is not lost.

RGPargy · 09/01/2009 13:46

Shiny - oh well, dont beat yourself up about it. I do hope you enjoyed the curry and cake tho (yummy!!) and that it was all worth it! Regardless of how many points you are on, you cannot save more than 4 a day. Think that's the rule anyway.

Ria - awww dont feel down!! Big hugs to you. Hope you feel a bit happier soon chick.

I was on the piss yesterday haha. I had 3 double vodka redbulls in the pub at lunchtime which i SERIOUSLY needed as i was so tired. I tell you what, it worked a treat! Thankfully vodka doesn't touch me very quick at all so i was able to go back to the office with only a slight buzz of alcohol. I met my friend after work for a swift half and she bought me a glass of the most rancid wine ever. In the end, i had to LEAVE IT!! Can you believe that i left wine?! Shocking isnt it!! I got home and DP got me a beer out of the fridge which i also left. I dont know what's wrong with me. Who am i and what have i done with the real me?!!

Mega busy at work today (hoorah!). Have a nice day today ladies.

OP posts:
happynewRia · 09/01/2009 13:56

so what does redbull taste like? I'm up for something that picks me up when I'm tired.

DS3 is sleeping now after a couple of bites of toast. I had buttered white toast too, but didn't enjoy it. Feel a little better after a chilly shower, clean top and brushed hair, but I wonder if I have SAD? (or if it's just my depression trying to creep back in) Hopefully it's hormonal and it'll pass.

I think 4 points is the max you can save, but you can earn more with exercise can't you?

Spoke to dsis last night and she suggested not weighing in on a Monday. Then if you enjoy your weekend too much you have a few days to make it up before you weigh in. I think I will change my day to tomorrow(because I didn't bother this morning). Have decided against SW classes for a few weeks, just til I get on top of things at home/studying/favours/read my new Maeve Binchy novel

RGPargy · 09/01/2009 14:50

Hmmm..... Not sure how to describe the taste of redbull! It is quite sweet but you can get a sugar free redbull which i think is nicer because the flavour isn't quite as "rich" if you know what i mean . I'm sure it'll pass. Dont let the dreaded depression creep back so tell yourself it's hormonal and you'll feel better in a day or two. Mind over matter.

You can earn exercise points, you are quite right!

Monday is a crap day to weigh, i have to admit. My weigh day is a monday morning so i have all my weekend's badness weighing in with me. I'm always at my lightest on a Friday morning. Thing is, i like the people in my WW class now so i dont want to change my day! Dagnammit!! If you dont go to your SW classes, make sure you dont get into the mind set of allowing yourself to eat what you like because "i'm not doing SW anyway so will start again when i go back". You'll only end up heavier than you are now and you'll be back to square one!

Sorry, lecture over!

Oh by the way, i tried the creamy mushrooms last night (accidentally used full fat philly tho, oops!). I didn't rate the mushrooms much on their own but once it was on toast, i thought it was lush! It was also surprisingly filling too!

I've also made the zero-point soup that was posted on here but i think i put too much spinach in it because it's come out the colour a really bad runny nappy lol!! However it tastes lovely! Think i'll review how to make it, especially now that i've got a lovely new blender, courtesy of a lady at work who had one going for sale for a tenner that she'd hardly used. Bargain!

OP posts:
FiveGoMadInDorset · 09/01/2009 15:49

We had the mushrooms the other day for lunch and stuck some garlic puree in, which boosted the flavour. Managed to walk 5km's on my treadmill this morning.

happynewRia · 09/01/2009 15:54

nope, won't get in that mindset RG, what I want to do is prove to myself I can do it without classes then I can keep the class fee for myself

so will start again - chocolate finger free - tomorrow. Have eaten the last of the choccie biscuits from xmas that I like.

jaz236 · 09/01/2009 17:27

OH my gawd ria i hope u get better hun didnt like reading what you wrote my darlink!!

jaz236 · 10/01/2009 09:50

well ladies ive had a hangover now and its stil there, we polished off 2 bottles of champers adn oh my gawdit went smoothly down my throat - methinks im a champers girl, but hubbie is saying this is an expensive habit adn thers a credit crunch - - hope u are all enjoying you bday tday xxx

shinyshoes · 10/01/2009 10:49

lol Jaz.

Right ladies I went from one extreme to the other, I had a blowout a few nights ago, curry and cake night, then yesturday picked here and there went to work came home put it all in the points tracker and it was 11 points . Now i've not eaten enough, still, that at least compensates for the blowout the other night.
Hubby is cooking tonight Lobster Linguine, I've pointed the lobster and pasta is quite low points wise. I'm aiming to eat 24 points between now and weigh in as I didnt eat very much yesturday. Will try and fit in walks in between but its tooo damn cold. BBBRRR.

Hopefully weigh in on manday wont be a complete failure otherwise it's chinese for me on the way home

Hope you all have a good day ladies!!!!

happynewRia · 10/01/2009 12:25

I'm liking my new weigh-in day. 2lb off
