Oh what a shame. Nevermind, pick yourself up, brush yourself off and start again

OP posts:

will do. My heart's not in it this week at all though, too much "stuff" going on in the background that is draining effort resources.

RGPargy · 26/06/2009 12:04

Yes, i know exactly what you mean!! You really have to be in the right frame of mind to do any form of diet/exercise i think.

back from a camping trip earlier today. It has been foggy and damp all the time, but it was great. nd i've only had 1 bottle of beer since Friday (though I am going to "rectify" that tonight)

Yesterday we walked from our campsite ina little fishing village called Robin Hoods Bay to Whitby (I would say from the campsite added another mile to the 6mile route) and then back again! So with the 2 hours we had in Whitby itself (being touristy and shopping) we walked over 14 miles/ Can I have extra points for walking in the rain?

Having a treat night tonight, but am pretty motivated to get back to it (been shopping and done a slimming world stock-up)

visited Dsis today too, I am a bit at how much she seems t have gained. BUt it means we are sort of on a level pegging (or at least she is not streets ahead of me) so that should help my resolve.

RGPargy · 29/06/2009 20:25

Hi Ria

Did you enjoy camping? I think walking for 14 miles in the rain deffo gives you extra points! Well done!!

Well done on stocking up with SW stuff. At least it means you cant cheat so much Shame your Dsis has put on weight but at least, as you say, you are on a level pegging now. Just make sure you get to the finish line before her now!

Nothing much to report here. Didn't go to the gym today because my friends came round for lunch, that's about it really haha!

My life is so dull dull dull!

OP posts:
Rialentless · 30/06/2009 10:30

hi RG

...

4 lb off!!!

I gave Dsis some trousers that are too big for me at the weekend, and I really didn't find it as satisfying as I thought I would.

Tiny bit of a treat day today, then back on it.

Shame you didn't get to the gym, hope your lunch was nice.

RGPargy · 30/06/2009 22:31

Woooo!!! Well done you!!

Went to body conditioning today and i still wasn't knackered in a bursting lung kind of way, like i thought i would be. Step class tomorrow so hopefully that'll blow away some cobwebs!!

Off to bed now, speak tomorrow. Night!! xx

Rialentless · 30/06/2009 22:37

thanks. am enjoying treat night. and unless DH gets paid tomorrow (he is owed 2 weeks from one place and 2 weeks plus bonus from another - if he gets it all it could be bad news for the diet, but good for everything else obviously) I'll be on the wagon with you til the weekend.

what is body conditioning? sounds painful.

am wondering how far I can make the boys walk this weekend

RGPargy · 02/07/2009 16:44

Did DH get paid?! I hope that he did!!

Body conditioning is just toning really. It did bloody hurt too!

Did step yesterday and deffo blew the cobwebs away, but the heat made it quite hard work!

Back at work today tho in the lovely luxury that is aircon. I've not left the building since 9.30am and after reports of it being 33 degrees outside at lunchtime, i'm not looking forward to leaving the office at home time!

OP posts:
Rialentless · 02/07/2009 23:20

it is a tad hot, dragging myself to school at 3pm was tough. But... I ran home from DMs tonight (OK, she lives just round the corner about a 2 minute walk away, but I ran from there to here without stopping, for the first time ever. I am proud of that though it isn't muchm but it's a bit like when you read about celebs trainig for stuff and they say they couldn't run from one lamppost to the next when they started... I must be doing something right though)

DH sort of got paid, but not so you would notice (still mre to come - hopefully tomorrow), but I bought a bottle of wine as we have had a stupid day (and have stopped bickering for the time being) and I thought we deserve it. And some crisps...

I am really going to have to start exercising soon. Something gentle but effective.

RGPargy · 03/07/2009 11:29

Well done on running back!! It all starts with baby steps, as they say. Well done you!

Wine and crisps sounds lovely! I turned down wine last night as DP was going up the shop to get some booze. TBH i'm not overly bothered about drinking at the moment. Having said that, i will probably weaken tonight and have wine, seeing as it's friday night curry night and all that!

How about pilates for gentle/effective exercising? I've not done it myself (yet) but it's meant to be very good!

OP posts:
Rialentless · 03/07/2009 22:04

just done 20 min salsa and 2 x 10 min tone-ups on my DVD

feel good!

RGPargy · 04/07/2009 15:39

woohoo!!! You go girl! Well done!

OP posts:
Rialentless · 04/07/2009 20:09

thanks RG.

feel crap today (too hot I think) so am having early night. Had a half-hearted walk up the village earlier, but there wasn't much effort in it.
Been to DMs this afternoon to play with the cousins, and satyed for BBQ, which was delish, but all the wrong stuff. No booze tonight though, so maybe all not lost.

Hope you're having a good weekend.

Rialentless · 05/07/2009 21:37

phew, 6.5mile walk around "Aidensfield" moors today, in the sweltering heat (apart from the 10 mins torrential downpour where we hid under a tree)

need a glass or two of wine to replace lost fluids

RGPargy · 06/07/2009 21:27

Well done on the walk Ria! That's fab!

Went to the gym today and did body pump. Might have a go at Aerotone tomorrow. God help me tho as the instructor always teaches fast and furious!!

OP posts:
Rialentless · 06/07/2009 21:45

what is aerotone? isn't it enough that exercise hurts, without messing with your mind? well done on the gym.

DH is PHSL (in between Torchwood revelations) I have been BORED today, and looking at frocks for our friends wedding on ebay... just showed DH one, and he said "don't you listen to Trinny and Suzannah? You should never put black on a larger lady!" so I told him it wasn't for a "larger lady" it was for me!

sadly, have buggered the damage limitation today. I painstakingly made sausage beans egg 'n' chips for the boys for their tea, and they were so sodding picky I ended up eating some of it (I was meant to be having fresh pineapple to put me on until my healthy stir fry - DH had a governors meeting so we were eating late), so not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow.

RGPargy · 06/07/2009 21:59

Not sure what Aerotone is. I'm assuming it's just leaping around like a loony to music or something.

Shame you messed up today, oh well never mind. I have as well. I've just stuffed about 6 bourbon biscuits with a mug of hot chocolate. Oopsie!

Oh well, tomorrow's another day!

Have a nice evening (what's left of it!). Hopefully DD will allow us to have an uniterrupted night's sleep tonight. She's been waking up at 2.30am every night for the past couple of weeks and just not going back to sleep! Last night and the night before resorted to myself and DP taking her downstairs so as not to disturb the entire house and then laying on the sofa with her, where she proceeded to fall asleep on our chests instantly!! As usual, i'm going to put it down to teething (again) hehe.

OP posts:
Rialentless · 06/07/2009 22:03

DS3 has just nodded off on the sofa watching Torchwood (and if he understood it he's better than me!), bloody summer, bloody heat and damned thunderstorms (although DS2 is still asleep so can't have noticed). Bedtime really makes me want to cry, so if I hadn;t already fallen off the wagon, I would have now.

RGPargy · 07/07/2009 15:48

Are bedtimes always a palarva for you Ria?? Thankfully DD only woke up twice last night, at 10.40 (10 mins after we'd got into bed) and then half an hour after that. She managed to sleep through til 6.45am, so we were both REALLY happy!

OP posts:
Rialentless · 07/07/2009 19:48

bedtimes are usually hell. I blame it on over-active minds.

1lb off this week, and went for an hours walk this morning.

treat night tonight, think we're having pork chops, chips, sweetcorn & onion rings and ... wine

really have to try hard for the rest of the week though

RGPargy · 07/07/2009 21:23

Well done on the loss!!

I think i must be the only one on this thread that is not losing weight and isn't really trying either!!

Note to self - FFS STOP EATING CRAP!!

There, that might do it!

OP posts:
Rialentless · 07/07/2009 22:04

only by a wing and a prayer RG

I am in a better place than I was a few weeks ago with my head, but I still aren't giving it 100% (only ij the morning, and the day after weigh-in til teatime, and the day before weigh in for as long as I can

although, atm we are nearly a double act! where has everyone gone?

RGPargy · 07/07/2009 22:44

I know what you mean. I'm not even going to WW anymore so dont have an incentive to stay on the wagon for weigh day because i dont have one!

I think everyone has gone off because they are either doing really well or have ballsed up completely and are too ashamed to come back lol. Little do they know.....

OP posts:
Rialentless · 07/07/2009 22:50

I have given up being ashamed. The only person I'm letting down is me (and maybe my mother). Friends stick together whatever the weight!
anyway, you will be toning up and being healthy with all your exercise, so what does a bit of food excess matter TBH, if I could tone up enough to drop to the next size down, I would eat what I like (and probably a bit more)

we'll get there...
