Well today has been better. So far I have eaten well. And I went to the gym this morning and got a new program. Hopefully this will make me feel more motivated. I think I was getting bored with the old routine.

Rialentless · 23/05/2009 19:04

jammy

I have done OK-ish. DS1 made gingerbread men last night at youth club, and he made me a cup of tea with one for breakfast! (I ate the legs), then DH made a picnic for lunch - white rolls!!! But I only had one with a bit of chicken, and 2 mini apples. when DH & the boys had ice creams I had diet coke! we are having steak & chips for tea though

walked 6 miles (total) from Robin Hoods Bay to Hawsker & back, and then down the massive steep hill to the sea.

for another 6 miles we could have walked to Whitby. we are planning that one for sometime in the summer.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/05/2009 19:32

6 miles walking is impressive Ria And I presume that if you walked down the steep hill to the sea then at some point you must have walked up? Unless you are sitting on the beach now?

Rialentless · 23/05/2009 21:13

nope, not on the beach now jammy, though would very much like to still be sat outside the pub at the bottom of the hill with a nice cold pint.

the six miles was the easiest walk ever (old railway line), but the hill is a killer (gave DH the pushchair both up and down)

Rialentless · 24/05/2009 17:20

not been out walking today. Is ironing exercise?

am going to make low fat chicken korma and rice in a minute. and we might go for a short walk round the village after tea as DS3 is fast asleep just now so will be a bugger to get to bed at bedtime.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 24/05/2009 17:40

I went swimming this morning. 18 easy lengths and 18 hard ones. Could really feel it when I got home! And have eaten fairly well. Had friends over and did roast duck, but on;y had a modest portion and I did boiled spuds as well as roasties and I just had boiled And when we all had ice creams after a hot trip to the park I had a mini milk (30 calories) instead of a choc ice (137 calories) [smug emoticon]. Just got to make it through tea and the evening now!

Rialentless · 24/05/2009 22:27

have you tried dry-roasting potatoes with a bit of spray oil jammy?

did an hour walking round the village with the boys after tea. It was nice

am just having a small glass of wine and a bag of french fries, so will have gone over my syns count for the first time this week, but I am a bit peckish. We are going out with Dsis tomorrow. hopefully we are walking from her house to where we're going, and that will cancel out anything I may eat that I shouldn't, am fretting about it a bit as it's weigh in on Tuesday and she did mention having tea at theirs.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 24/05/2009 22:33

Yes Ria, but DH really wanted proper duck fat roasties this time. (Ooops, good job I checked there, I typed dick fat at first!)

Rialentless · 24/05/2009 22:52

LOL jammy, an innocent typo for anyone else, but not for Mr Secret Santa

you were very good abstaining, I don't think I've ever had roasties done in duck fat (Dsis did them in goose fat one xmas), but there is no way I could have just had boiled if there were proper roasties to be had. (I hate boiled potatoes)

have just had some chocolate will have to go to bed, I'm starving, must be all this fresh air.

hope you're having a good rave RG!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/05/2009 14:08

Ria

Took DD to neighburing village to their fete (or feast as they like to call it). 4.5 mile round trip, pushing the buggy. And didn't feast too much either But we saw the parade (marching band, floats, steam engines, vintage cars etc) and some owls and donkeys. And DD had a go on the bouncy castle, and we had Mr Men ice lollies on the way home, so a nice trip out I did say last night that I wanted to have a go with my exercise DVD tonight (it hasn't seen enough use lately and DH is putting me to shame doing 20 mins (and building up to 30) on the exercise bike EVERY day ). But feel rather worn out at the moment, so we will see...

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/05/2009 20:07

I settled on some relaxing Pilates. But had 2 bowls of duck noodle soup for tea

Rialentless · 25/05/2009 22:28

well done jammy. fete sounds lovely too

I went to a Napoleonic battle re-enactment. we had a picnic (I was very good, SW-friendly egg sandwiches, bag of french fries, 2 peaches), a couple of chips, then a walk back to Dsis house (she asked me to slow my walking pace!). Sadly she plied me with too much wine, although tea was quite SW friendly.

On the plus side, DM said I looked slimmer tonight

Rialentless · 26/05/2009 10:30

blast, stayed the same

I have only myself to blame though (and Dsis)

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/05/2009 11:52

Better than a gain though Ria. I stayed the same as well if that's any consolation?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/05/2009 22:39

Well, I got the Davina DVD out tonight and jumped and sweated like a good 'un. And we had salad with hard boiled eggs and asparagus for tea, followed by fruit salad. Yummy and healthy!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 27/05/2009 20:53

Just hoping that 18000 steps walked today negates the afternoon tea I had out with my sister and niece! (2 slices of bread made into (thinly spread) cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches; a scone with cream and jam; a slice of cake; lots of tea)

RGPargy · 28/05/2009 22:21

Evening ladies. Just book marking before going to bed.

Hello ladies, how are you all?

Well, despite my good intentions, i am still no better off food-wise and i'm still sitting here eating crap and then wondering why my scales aren't going in the direction i want them to! It seems to be one or the other re food/exercise. I was being really good with food but stopped losing because i wasn't exercising. Now i'm exercising i've stopped being anywhere near good with food and am just having a permanent food party with me, myself and I!

I've really got to do something about it (and the midweek wine). I know i keep saying it but that's because i do mean it. I'm just obviously not in the right "zone" just yet to be able to do it. I'm not making excuses for myself (well maybe i am a little ) but i just really need something to click into place with my food and then the weight will hopefully start to fall off.

I think i need to step up my exercise too because although i'm going to the gym 3 times a week (i'm not disciplined enough to exercise at home at the moment), i do no exercise in between. I go Mon, Tues & Weds and then nothing til the following Mon. Think i deffo need to do something on the Saturday, maybe, to keep my metabolism up, if that makes sense.

hello. just popping in cos I can't face the unpacking

have been pretty good this week (it's hard to be bad with DM about TBH) part from sharing a bottle of white every night with DM, BUT have eaten no crisps or ice creams all week. We did go to McD's on the journey home today though, and am going to have a bit of a treat with DH tonight.

back soon...

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 31/05/2009 19:38

Just bookmarking after a few days away.
Been fairly healthy while at my Mum's apart from last night, when had toast and peanuts and biscuits .

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 01/06/2009 12:22

Woo Hoo! 4lbs lost in the last fortnight!
Hope everyone is enjoying the summer weather btw

Rialentless · 01/06/2009 15:10

well done jammy

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 01/06/2009 21:45

Last night I was in a couldn't-care mood and bought some reduced price choc puddings. We went to have them tonight and I was to see they were 575 calories per portion!!! I suddenly went right off having mine, but DH got upset about me wasting it so I had about a third of it in the end (and he had the rest!)

Rialentless · 01/06/2009 23:08

I completely blame walkers sensations (thai sweet chilli)

wont be a good weigh-in for me

DH has a new job,a nd (same old story) it sounds GOOD

roll on MOnday (and fingers crossed for no tragedy at the hospital on Saturday)

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 02/06/2009 07:14

Ooooh, good luck for DH, hopital-wise and job-wise. You are right, his jobs always sound good at the start, but someday one has to live up to its promises, surely? Let's hope it's this one!!

I've got a new pair of jeans on. They are 3 sizes smaller than the ones I bought in January I bought them in a sale about a month ago and they wouldn't quite do up then, but they fit like a dream now That's the inspiration I need to keep this up!
