maybe MIL is doing you a party tea?

we only went to the supermarket. It was spur of the moment "just because" I didn't even have any socks on. He never takes me anywhere when I've made an effort to look nice!

RGPargy · 15/01/2009 12:41

Nah, i doubt it's anything like that. She probably just assumed i'd be going out or something.

That's sod's law isn't it. Whenever i go to Asda looking like a big fat ogre i always bump into my friend who's very slim and glam. The rule now is that i always have to go looking halfway decent "just in case" haha!!

one of my secret resolutions was that I was NOT going to leave the house looking like an explosion in a jumble sale any more. Oh how I have failed...

jaz236 · 15/01/2009 13:02

ladies ladies ladies!! u need to be wearing your false eyelashes -that was my new years resolution - as that they dont half make a differnce - i too thought right im not going round in joggers anymore, before i met my hubbie i always dressed up, was a size 8 aswell though - but we are all working at it and we will reach our goals, but im telling you honestly these lashes do make a difference - although does take forever to master, and the other day i woke up next to this long last thinking it was a spider ha!! oh the joys of trying to be glam!!!

jaz236 · 15/01/2009 13:09

fat ogre is not in our dictionary rg by the way and NO u dont look an explosion ina jumble sale my dear ria!!!! - we have to move away from these negative word and look to being far more positive - after all we dont want to be thin and bitter do we when we have reached our final goals?

happynewRia · 15/01/2009 13:19

I have had a bath and put a tiny bit of slap on! Too little too late for today, but the makeup might still be there in the morning

RGPargy · 15/01/2009 13:24

Oh i'd love to wear falsies!! I've bought some about twice, attempted it about twice, and then shoved them in the drawer until i chucked them out about a year later! I agree we should be more positive tho.

Ria - i always leave my makeup on and then just touch it up the next day haha! Mind you, i only wear mascara and liquid eye liner so armed with a few cotton buds, i can just wipe off what's smeared under my eyes and then stick some more on top. Et Voila! I can only get away with it for 3 days maximum but like to put on fresh stuff after 2 days ideally. Yes, i am a slob.

i think as from tday ladies we should all be positive!! adn wear our falsies and lipstick with pride!! behind every good woman is a dammed good lipstick!!! tday i did my nails and they are alovley nice shade of pink nice and manicured!! didnt dress up tday as twisted my back in bed from sleeping funny! so spent all day layed up on the couch watching darling buds of may and then ugly betty!!

And then shock horror hubbie goes and digs out the toasted sandwich maker and makes me 2 cheese and onion toasties - and then this evening made me half an aberdeen angus burger - gawd does this man not want me to drop the fat!!! might i add he is slim!! ha!!

happynewRia · 15/01/2009 21:48

only half a burger jaz??? what happened to the other half???

I love darling buds of may. one of my Mnet names used to be RiaisMaLarkin Now there's a woman we should all aspire to be like (except no way could I cope with that many children or cooking that often) she doesn't give a flying f* and always is positive.

I wake up most days twisted (physically of course) co-sleeping with 1x 18mo and 1x 5yo is not a comfortable way to spend a night. We are getting a bigger bed!

jaz236 · 16/01/2009 11:19

oooooooh ria u sleep with ur 2 aswell, i only have one, dont they go in their beds then??? the naughty pups!!! yes i love ma larkin to and she has those big plates of huge sandwiches in bed and bath , gawd its cos of her i was craving again white bread!!!

well tday ive been good so far and just had huge pint of water!! ad did hair and makeup and dressed nice for baby class!! its the way forward!! didnt do the false eyelashes as to much fiddling, my pal has got it down to a T, and she looks amazing!!! and her little ones in his own cot and shes sooooooo slim aaaaaaargh!! anyway no negativity just positivity from now on!!

its our anniversary next week - so more food, then its valentines day, then its mothers day - wohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

didnt have the other half as hubbie only gave me half, i love them though!!

Tas1 · 16/01/2009 16:56

Hi everyone, just finished first week at Slimming World. Lost 6lb, DH also lost 6lb too. We did the new diet which I find eaiser with a family, as the children can eat the meals too.

Well done Tas!!

I knew I shouldnt have taken my purse to work with me. I succumed to the Fish and chip shop . I am now 14 points OVER for the week, some serious cutting back and walking for me I think. Lets hope I can slavage some of it by monday.

Anyway, I will draw a line under it.

Have a good day ladies!!

happynewRia · 17/01/2009 13:53

good you have a plan to salvage shinyshoes. I am not having a good day. It's not an overly bad day, but my head isn't in the right place today, and I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself

I know I should make the effort and take the boys out, but it's so cold, and seems a shame to go out when DH will be home on his break shortly, they don't see enough of him as it is.

jaz236 · 18/01/2009 12:17

RIAchforthestars · 18/01/2009 19:50

some days it is very hard RG, and I don't manage it, some days I can work it through to the other side.

Today is much better, as you can see from my new name

RGPargy · 18/01/2009 20:21

Good for you! Your new name is very inspiring Stuff like that can make all the difference to self-perception and your mood cant it.

Right, better go and carry on with my no-points soup. the girls are coming round for lunch tomoz and they dont know it yet but they're having it for lunch with rolls!

OP posts:
RIAchforthestars · 18/01/2009 21:31

they won't even know RG, just don't have too much bread like I did with my free soup the other day and end up feeling sick

I am feeling scarily good today. Have even used facial scrub, No7 facewash and moisturised, after going out with makeup on for the third time in a row. I will be a new woman in no time!

jaz236 · 19/01/2009 11:35

u see ria how that makes sucha massive difference - u go girl xxx
