Just seen this advertised in National Press.

Has anyone ever tried it?

Is it pricey?

More to the point, Does it really work?

I'm intrigued..... I had never heard of this programme before...

Hi you all,

I'm new here but have been reading for like 2 months or so. Wasn't that much of a job Wink.

I'm from Holland, I'm dutch. Since 6 weeks now I'm going to a Alizonne clinic here in Holland. So far I've lost almost 20 kilo's, don't know how much that is in stones.

So I'm doing fine, am really satisfied about the diet. Though I'm missing one thing: experiences of people that went before me.

I know that in the UK you have a Alizonne forum where one could exchange tips, recipies and tell each other you're doing good!
In Holland we don't have a place like that. My dutch clinic gave me a password how to get in at the UK-Alizonne site, however that was an old password. I've asked several times for a new one but they don't have it. Quess it's not a priority.

I wonder if there's anyone here who can provide me for that password or maybe ask an Alizonne clinic in the UK if it's ok when I have it.
When giving my adress one can be in contact and maybe that way I can prove I'm really with Alizonne.

Hope to hear from anyone real soon and excuses for the poor English.

Best regards,
Lena

I have been on Alizonne for a few weeks now and I must say I do feel good on the diet, never hungry. It is succeeding where other diets have failed!

Food is okey. Venue is attractive.:)

The only thing that bothers me is that the staff are not all singing from the same hymn sheet. You get different advice depending on who you speak to at the clinic!! And there are HUGE variations in the advice given! Confused

This I find really off putting and quite frustrating, because it becomes extremely difficult to work out what is the correct thing to do, in order to lose the weight as efficiently as possible. At the end of the day it is not a cheap diet!

Despite that, I would recommend it.

jomells · 09/01/2011 15:37

Hi uk girl, which clinic are you at? i'v heard this before about inconsistent advice. i'm seriously thinking of trying this diet. The nearest clinic to me is Wilmslow. Its still an hour away. Does anyone have any comments at all about this clinic? many thanks and good luck to everyone.

Busy Mums and Frequent Travellers Be Aware!!

If you are a person who travels and cannot pick up food weekly,or are just busy one week 'cos life got in the way,be warned that THEY ARE VERY DIFFICULT about giving you extra food!!!

And they do not tell you this until you have started the diet, which is a real bummer!!!

They make all the right noises when you ask before attending the clinic, in saying that they will give you extra food if you go away, but in fact it has been one big massive headache from the start, as I am a frequent traveller and naturally want to take extra food with me!!My mum lives abroad, so I try to get away most months! They make such a fuss it is untrue!

This is a great disappointment and a huge stress factor!!Had I known before starting the diet I would not have considered going on it! Angry

Anybody else found this?

Hello

I just heard about Alizonne in an ad in the newspaper. It sounds like a dream come true! I have about 1 1/2 stone to lose. I have tried everything but this sounds like the answer.

  • Was wondering how long would it take to lose 1 1/2 stones?
  • Has anyone gone to the Maidenhead branch?

Thank you for your responses.

Itsmekellie · 13/01/2011 10:36

Hello All!

I'm not actually a mum (OR even close to being one!) But I couldn't find anywhere else on the internet where people were discussing the Alizonne diet! I hope you don't mind me being here!

I'm 20 years old, 21 in June and on Tuesday I go for a meeting with a nurse about this diet at the maidenhead clinic. I was quiet surprised I have to pay to see the nurse rather than the doctor (which I have to go back to see if I decide to sign up) because after reading all of these replies everyone seemed to see the doctor first time! But I am apprehensive!

I have tried a liquid type diet (Lighterlife) in 2008, But I got extremely ill for doing this. The cause is unknown if it was the diet that actually had caused it, Or if it was my fault. When I started lighterlife I weighed 16.4 stones and after 2 months I dropped to 12.8 stones! This is when I got sick and I managed to keep the weight off for around a year until I got an office job were I ate for comfort :(!

I am now weighing in at 18 stone 8 a size 20/22 and I feel completely out of control of my own life, I'm following a weight watchers plan but being 20 years old and hoping to attend university in September its very disheartening only loosing a lbs or two each week and being at this weight has really effected my social life and my confidence.

The Alizonne diet is very expensive, from what I understand its about 750pounds for every stone you loose, I currently don't work and embarrassingly I am having to look to my parents for financial support while attending an adult education course and now for this diet.

Loosing this weight will give me a lot more than just being able to fit into top shop clothes, but will also give me the confidence to attend job interviews which I am currently struggling with the concept of doing as I am worried I will be judged on my weight rather than my creditability. especially in a job working in a public role scares me so much.

I want to go from 18 stone 8 to 10 stone. I am 5ft 9.

Does anyone have any advice for new starters to the Alizonne diet? I hope the consultation goes well on Tuesday and that I can go back to get my blood done and start as soon as possible! I feel like this might be a new chapter of my life!

Katelav · 19/01/2011 21:07

Hi

I am not a mum either, I am a 61 year old who has gained weight over the years and decided no more excuses.

I started 12 days ago and have lost 6 pounds already. I am not hungry, no headaches, although I am a bit tired.

The food is bearable, and some can be quite tasty if you add herbs and spices and be a bit creative. Hope you like salad!

I started at 13 stone 10 and need to get to 10 stone 5. I think the main weight wil come off in about 10 weeks and then I will go on maintenance. Everyone will be different but whoever you are, you need to be committed, and your family need to be supportive. It is difficult eating something made from powder when others are eating a roast dinner - but some of the things I have tried (Thai green veggie curry) have been more than appetising.

tashu · 20/01/2011 20:06

Hi peeps

Xyls · 20/01/2011 22:28

Can anyone tell me, Is this diet okay for veggies? I am one and have been since i was 4. I hope non of the packs have meat or animal products in!

ukgirl · 21/01/2011 12:33

Contains whey and soya protein. I believe you can do soya only but foods not as nice!

Katelav · 21/01/2011 20:54

Had my 2 week check up today - 3.6 k so far - that's almost 8 pounds in old money. I am delighted and encouraged. Only 35 pounds more to go...

iamhere · 29/01/2011 18:29

Hi I am thinking about Alizonne after a friend told me about it.

I am happy to have come across this forum and have found the information on here invaluable however apart from the costly price, my other concern is lose skin. I have over 5 stones to lose. I understand that the treatment includes a theraphy that works to tighten the skin but does it work? How bad does the skin look with losing so much weight. Confused

Thanks in advance.

kaytes · 30/01/2011 21:48

I am going to book an appointment at the Wilmslow clinic, hope its worth it!

choclate · 01/02/2011 12:34

kaytes · 02/02/2011 21:49

I had my consultation & bloods today, starting on saturday with treatments & was wondering if it will be OK to start diet on Monday?

Itsmekellie · 03/02/2011 10:07

Hi I am starting my treatment on Monday I was told to have some breakfast and I would be on the diet from that day as the treatment would have started good luck I have been told in 30 weeks I will loose 8 stone I can't wait until Monday comes

iamhere · 03/02/2011 12:24

After losing so much weight, What happens to the skin?

Ref: my message above

Itsmekellie · 03/02/2011 13:05

Hi each week when you go to the clinic you have a skin treatment all over your body it's like having a mini Hoover all over and it makes your skin firm up

iamhere · 07/02/2011 15:08

Thank you for replying Itsmekellie.

Will it 'totally' firm up or would you have to get surgery to remove any sagging, lose skin?

dpthmum · 10/02/2011 20:57

I visited the wilmslow clinic yesterday with my young son (age 25) who needs to loose 6 stone. I was so impressed with the clinic, the staff and the consultant who examined my son and took his bloods. The programme which starts soon should take 24 weeks, i am keeping my fingers crossed and will support his everystep of the way! he's totally fed up of being big and totaly fed up of yo-yo dieting. I promise to keep all posted how he's doing. Good luck son mum x

kass1 · 13/02/2011 18:10
