Okay less than two hours to go and I am back on!!

SPARKLER1 · 09/05/2005 09:33

Hi. Okay I'm back with you lot now. Measured out my milk allowance for the day and just had two weetabix for breakfast from my healthy B section. Determined not to be a fat blob at BF wedding.

Thanks Yorkiegirl! Would anyone know how many syns a McVities Go Ahead Apple and Sultana crisp would be? I've looked on the web site bit it doesn't have them! I'm sure it's hardly any as there are really thin
Very impressed with myself today though - have just cooked dinner for later and discovered that it is completely free - will be able to splash out on a glass of wine with it.

Hello everyone. I am going to join SW tomorrow night, and I just wanted to know how it all works really, as I am not entirely sure. Am I right in thinking it has something to do withy red and green days? (Whatever those are) I am really desperate to lose weight, as I have become such a big blimp since DS was born 5 months ago. Can anyone explain a bit more? Is it good?

fairydust · 09/05/2005 11:48

marj · 09/05/2005 18:13

I am off in 15 minutes to my first slimming world class so would be grateful for any tips you could give me.

Donbean · 09/05/2005 18:17

just had the most gorgeous tea and i got the recipe from sw booklet.
Piece of plain fish (cod) coated in wholemeal breadcrumbs baked in the oven for 20 mins.
Had it with mash spuds with cauliflour mixed in and carrots, sweetcorn on the side and a spoonful of tomy ketchup. Ds loved it too. mmmmm Dont know how much is in it, got to check.
ive lost 2.5 first week then 1.5 second week, going on thursday to get weighed again...wish me luck.

fairydust · 09/05/2005 18:19

Hi! I have only been doing SW for 2 days but am doing ok. Just wondered if anyone has some good recipes I could try for family dinners or low syn treats. I am not very imaginative where cooking is concerned so would be grateful for any ideas. Thanks!

fairydust · 11/05/2005 18:06

the frozen muller lights are lush and syn free as well - am also looking for family meals.

Arabica · 12/05/2005 12:52

Hi all
Have rejoined SW since miscarriage and am finding it tough going--lost 6lbs, put 4 back on. But am determined to succeed. I've only got 2st 3lbs to lose...my new deadline is to shift 14lbs by my wedding anniversary on 13 July. And I am definitely going to do it as would love to be a 10st-something this summer instead of hovering around 12st and feeling all hot and flabby.

I lost 4lbs! Really pleased with my first week.
Fairydust - I've found a few meal ideas on the website although I haven't actually tried them yet. I only eat green anyway so most of what I eat was fairly similar to what I ate anyway except no fat.

Arabica · 13/05/2005 00:31

Hi Christie, I did a food sensitivity test once and it came up with wheat, milk products and sugar. I lost quite a bit of weight. I don't think that's cos there is a metabolic connection though--I think it's because your choices are so limited, you end up taking in less calories, and most of my comfort foods contain wheat, dairy or sugar. I think it's interesting that Overeaters Anon suggest that group members from wheat and sugar just because they are such common binge-triggers...
