Lisalisa, well done on your loss so far!

The starchy veg are free on green but could be a B choice Healthy Extra on red, the avocados are syns - 13.5 for a whole one! Your olive oil could also be a B choice Healthy Extra.

All in all I think it is a fantastic eating plan, just wish I could lose some more weight! Seem to be stuck!

Lisalisa, I'm not sure I agree with them there, avocado is full of good fat which according to Gillian McKeith helps you burn the bad fat. I'm surprised an avocado isn't an option as a Healthy Extra, like the olive oil or nuts/seeds.

Hi LisaLisa and well done on your loss so far! I haven't actually been at SW for a while, but before getting pregnant I'd lost a stone--1st 7lbs or so to go. Will be returning to group soon. Was supposed to go tonight but couldn't face going out in cold and rain (what a wimp). Maybe next week.

Demented · 01/03/2005 21:17

LOL YG, the way I've been messing around lately I don't think they would listen to my diet opinions!

I've just started on the Body Optimse @ Slimming World but am struggling to grasp the website - any tips on how I can just print down easy to read intructions without using up a forest of paper?

DecafArabica · 02/03/2005 14:18

Sorry sparkle, I haven't used it, maybe someone else has?

Demented · 02/03/2005 17:47

I am being daring today and having a Mix 2 Max day and wondered if anyone could quickly tell me if I am doing it right.

Today I have had:-

A banana and a Mullerlight

Huge bowl of pasta with cheese, olive oil and garlic (cheese from the A list and olive oil from the B list). GREEN LUNCH

Cappuccino with a half a Kinder Buneno(That's the milk gone)

So am planning to have salad with masses of prawns and a dollop of Marie Rose sauce for dinner. RED DINNER

Does this still leave a B choice healthy extra? Thinking of toast for supper.

Planning on having fruit and more Mullerlight for snacks later.

Is that right? As long as I don't have things like baked potatoes or meat for snacks I can do this?

Sparkle, sorry I can't help with the website either.

SPARKLER1 · 02/03/2005 17:51

Oooooh another Sparkly person like me!!! Can't get into the diet again this week. Had my willpower back last week but having put the weight on it's made me feel very disheartened.

Demented · 02/03/2005 17:53

Any views on the Mix 2 Max? Just want to check I've got it right. My consultant said we didn't need to know about it.

SPARKLER1 · 02/03/2005 17:54

I haven't done it TBH demented. Still getting to grips with the green and original days. Good for you being adventurous and trying it though. Do you feel like you've had enough to eat today?

Demented · 02/03/2005 17:59

You should've seen the bowl of pasta! I just eat it out the serving bowl. TBH I'm still full and haven't had dinner yet, waiting until DSs are in bed and am going to lounge on the sofa in front of the telly, heaven!

Bit of a lack of fruit and veg today but hoping to make that up this evening.

BethAndHerBrood · 02/03/2005 18:44

That's right demented, fancy your consultant not telling you about it! Quite honestly, if my consultant never mentions it again, it will be too soon!!We've had nothing but the new plans rammed down our throat since i joined in january!! Getting a bit sick of hearing about them now.

LOL!

I can eat now! Yeah! I don't go to the classes anymore, didn't intend going to them longterm but the rubbish consultant helped push me out the door a bit sooner than expected.

Thanks it's good to be able to check these things out.

DecafArabica · 02/03/2005 20:27

Crikey Demented, your consultant sounds as bad as mine. She has actually been putting weight on ever since I joined (not for pregnancy or other health-related reasons). She couldn't be arsed to read up on the new plans and has simply waited for group members to try them and tell her how they got on. I don't think she really believes SW actually works! I'm toying with rejoining a different group because I KNOW there are good consultants out there--I've spoken to enough successful slimmers in my time!

Demented · 03/03/2005 14:26

Arabica, don't know how some of them end up with the job. To give her her due this girl is very slim, she's about 5' 10" and a small size 10, has had several children and appears to have a washboard stomach so she is certainly doing something right herself. My biggest gripe with her was that she was unbelieveably scatty, losing people's sheets etc and boring to listen to.

Loobz · 03/03/2005 20:01

I have just switched classes from a consultant who was a right bitch (she reduced a girl to tears one week) and to be honest presented as if she didn't have a clue, to a class where the consultant is so good. She is very organised and does a talk on food every week - not a long one but I usually find that I come away from class having learned something new about the plan. But best of all is that she's interesting and funny and I look forward to going to class now.

DecafArabica · 03/03/2005 23:39

The consultants I talk to for articles have been pre-selected by SW as being particularly good and they are NEVER from London/SE. There seem to be a huge number of inspiring consultants from Midlands/Wales/North of England.

SPARKLER1 · 04/03/2005 18:49

Going to stop Slimming World classes. Have been going for a year and the willpower is non-existent at the moment. I feel very bad for not going. Will send consultant an e-mail over the weekend.

DecafArabica · 04/03/2005 19:15

Sparkler, has it continued to be a really bad week then? You said you'd bought wine and chocolate after discovering you'd had a gain.
I've had a really crap week with lots of comfort-eating, but in my case I think that means I have to go to class otherwise I will end up putting on lots more weight and that will make me even more depressed.

Demented · 04/03/2005 19:36

Are you going to try and keep plugging on at home Sparkler?

SPARKLER1 · 04/03/2005 21:16

Oh I don't know. It has been a bad week but it's also been another bad week. I don't know what's happened. When I started in March last year I was really motivated. Tried all different SW recipies, filled out food diaries every day, didn't miss eating loads of chocolate and I genuinely enjoyed everything I was eating. Since xmas I don't feel the same. I would love to lose weight as I'm not happy with the way I am. I don't know what to do. I know I won't be very good trying it alone, staying to group definitely gives me motivation if only for a couple of days. I don't think anything now if I eat too much of the wrong stuff but feel really fed up on Monday nights when I get weighed.
