Well done Tommy!

Well, I had my weigh in this morning and despite the rubbish eating all this week I have lost 1/2 Ib...wohoo...am pleased with that
Aimign for a bigger loss for next week....but did treat myself earlier, lol...and had a panini at my favourite place...but, will be back on track as off tomorrow and curb the boozeintake this week, too, lol....

Lurking....try not to ponder on blowing a day, it will only upset you and possible lead you to fall of the wagon even more ...just enjoyhaving had it and then get back on track!

Must run...need to pick Kids up from school!¬

kid · 01/10/2008 16:29

I weighed myself yesterday morning (naughty me, WI not until Saturday) but the scales are showing a 2lb loss.
I've had a couple of red days this week, perhaps that makes a difference. Today is a red day too, although I hate tuna! Eggs for dinner tonight I think with some bacon hmmm!

RiallyEeRiaee · 01/10/2008 22:03

sorry LNM, tis my halloween name (roll on xmas names) hope the lunch went well. I struggle with lunches as I like to keep my syns for evening if I can.

I am doing well because of my current dire financial state! (if I had any moeny I'm sure I would be munching crisps/chocolate/pizza right now. DH did treat us to a wine, but it's seriously cheap and not overly delicious, so I won't be overdoing it!) Am just about to have some savoury rice to get me through til breakfast. I came in at 11 syns yesterday and 7 today!

sounds good kid

RiallyEeRiaee · 01/10/2008 22:04

sorry, well done too fairlady - who did you used to be? I feel I should know.

FairLadyRantALot · 01/10/2008 22:51

oh gosh, it's halloween name time already.....recently changed my username from 3andnomore....so, will have to think of a halloweeny version for my new id...
hm...ideas?

FreakyLadyFrightALOt...would that work?

no honest...ideas...

Ria....I mostly do the syn over a week, rather the daily count thing....find it more flexible

Lurkingnomore · 02/10/2008 09:28

Ho hum ended up with 15 syns yesterday - Can't wait for the choccies I took into work for my colleagues to be gone!

I am being tempted to stray off the path recently, and I'm not really sure why. I am also spending Soooo much on food and last night I ended up with a cobbled together dinner because I realised I had nothing in!! I made a lentil "thing" with a tin of tomatoes and some spinach and herbs... not really sure I will be making that again

Ria - me being dim, I hadn't realised what your name meant! Fair lady, I like Fairladyfrightalot!

Must get thinking for myself...

Hi everyone.
I really struggled last week - could not stop craving Big Macs, first time I have felt deprived really.
Managed not to go completely overboard ( just had some cake on sisters birthday) and lost a pound.
Got my 1.5 stone sticker and so got slimmer of the week and month felt v bad for thinking bad thoughts all week!
Have taken out a 12 week countdown which will finish the week before Christmas, I would like to be 9 stone 6 ( need to lose another 1.5 stone) but if I don't make it think I will just set target for whatever I am at then.
Have a good week x

RiallyEeRiaee · 02/10/2008 10:50

hi heavy, it seems it turned out ok then? I usually have weeks like that (and then give in)

it's getting spooky here!

RiallyEeRiaee · 02/10/2008 10:51

that's what I was going to say - I don't know if having a weekly syn count work for me, I can imagine having all my syns on the first day...

kid · 02/10/2008 20:25

Congratulations on your loss heavy, slimmer of the week and month so you are definitely doing well!

I have still managed to stick to SW without ever setting foot in their meeting. I am doing my best to follow it at home and its still working out for me.

I have started and stopped SW far too many times in the past. I don't know what happened to make me stick to it this time but I have. Saturday will mark the end of my 5th week! I'll report back to say how much I have lost or gained, never like to assume I'll get a loss although my naughty mid-week weigh in looked good

FairLadyRantALot · 02/10/2008 20:36

wow heavy, you are doing well...

kid · 04/10/2008 08:21

I lost 3lb this week, very pleased with that.
So, in the 5 weeks I have been doing SW, I have lost 10lb. This is definitely the diet for me!

FreakyLadyFrightALot · 04/10/2008 10:21

wohoo Kid, that is brilliant

RiallyEeRiaee · 04/10/2008 10:59

well done kid

nikkid21 · 04/10/2008 11:52

well done kid

Ria - I'm going to get the glitter out and get mine to start making Xmas cards. It will keep them occupied for hours while I sit in the corner and read the paper.

RiallyEeRiaee · 04/10/2008 12:45

glitter would just add to my woes. Off out to buy nice pizzas then we will forcibly watch Strictly together.

kid · 04/10/2008 17:17

DH is treating me to an Indian tonight, I am going to eat it but then be back to SW pronto.

He bought me a Nintendo Wii yesterday so I have been playing the boxing. Figured that will get rid of some of the extra syns!
I am going to ache so much tomorrow, I just know it.

nikkid21 · 04/10/2008 17:28

the boxing is great. - although I actually put my shoulder out to the point where lifting anything heavier than a cup of tea hurt for a week or so !

If you can get hold of the wii fit board the hula hooping and step are fab as well.

kid · 04/10/2008 17:50

I have been looking but not had any luck. I doubt I will get hold of it before Christmas.
Gameplay had it in stock, but it came as part of a bundle so I didn't order it.

I want just the wii fit for £69.99 (or less of course!)

RockinSockBunnies · 04/10/2008 17:58

Aagghh! Need inspiration....lost 2lb at weight in last week, felt so pleased with myself that have 'treated' myself by eating so far today:
Half a large pack of Cadbury shots
About a tablespoon of cake mixture - making fairy cakes with DD
Ginger cookie....
Large lunch of meat and potato stew (syn free though, thank god!)
Breakfast of weetabix
Banana
Apple

And I'm still starving and about to 'help' DD to scrape the bowl that the mixture's been in!!!!!! What is the matter with me today? I'm normally really disciplined

kid · 04/10/2008 18:03

Have some oranges or apples. Or better still, make yourself a fruit cocktail.

I like having ryvitas with cottage cheese on. The ryvitas are quite filling and the cottage cheese is syn free.
If that doesn't work, then go to bed early to stop yourself from eating anything else lol

RiallyEeRiaee · 04/10/2008 18:04

the Wii sounds good. Is the boxing just an ordinary game (not part of Wii fit?) I don't think we'll be getting one unless there is some kind of small miracle. I also wonder if we need one as DS1 has a gameboy he never plays because we gave in and got him a DS Lite, I do like the idea of something we could all do together though, but I think DS2 would be a bit narked if we spent his xmas money on a share in one. We have a plug in Lord of the Rings sword fighting game that you can work up a bit of a sweat with!

I would like to know why I can't stick to SW for a full week?

RiallyEeRiaee · 04/10/2008 18:05

actually I do know really, I was doing so well then had a slight tummy bug and now have a cold. crap excuses but it's the truth. I have been doing the go to bed early to stop me eating thing though

kid · 04/10/2008 18:14

I have managed to stick to SW for 5 weeks which is a miracle to be honest.
I have had a couple of days off during those 5 weeks but most of the time, I have been good.

Try not to think of it as sticking to it for a whole week. Take it a day at a time. When you reach the 4th day, you can count down to how many days left for that week. For some reason, I find that works for me. The 4th day always seems so much achievable than a whole week!

Honestly, you can do it. I have started at stopped so many times but this time I decided that enough was enough. Nevermind I had reached my heaviest weight ever. I was scared of tipping over into the next stone.
