After losing a very significant amount of weight, I’m stalling with the final 1.5st.

I know that Keto isn’t for everyone, but it works for me, albeit my downfalls are bread and sugary things so I’m going to do a two week burst of very strict keto, in the hopes that it’ll help me reset a little and find my motivation again.

Would anyone like to join me?

I currently have a fridge full of turkey burgers, Brie, and full-fat Greek yogurt.

@Castlerigg it could be electrolytes, maybe sprinkle a little extra salt on your food and see if it helps

@Clearingaspace my go told me to eat 5 brazils a day to stop the electric shocks in my arm! Bonkers as that may sound, if I don't eat them for a few days, the shocks come back!!

I had no idea about the toxicity.

Coffee with cream
Avocado and feta on toast, but left the toast
Some sliced beef
3x scrambled eggs with spinach

Day 9 for me.

Breakfast- almond milk flat white with MCT oil.

Lunch- Greek yogurt with pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, and flax seeds.

Afternoon snack- almond milk flat white and a keto wafer bar (I tried one of my new Nick’s ones that arrived today and prefer it to my usual Neoh- felt much more chocolately and indulgent.
A Babybel later on.

Dinner- little charcuterie plate. Plus a handful of rocket eaten in front of the fridge because ChatGPT lectured me on lack of veg.

Calories- 900
Protein - 53g
Fat- 66g
Carbs- 16g
Fibre- 8g

Really need to up my protein and fibre.

Day 10!

Skipped breakfast as just wasn’t hungry.

Lunch- Greek yogurt, chia seeds, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds.

Dinner- omelette with smoked salmon and spinach, served with mushrooms and rocket.

Snack- keto version of a Bounty bar.

Calories- 1,100

Day 2 and I’ve avoided all the big temptations but I really need to do a proper shop. I want to prepare some easy proteins so I don’t get tempted by snacking. I’m the worst for losing track of time, missing a meal, and reaching for something easy. I went to boil eggs yesterday and discovered they were all out of date.

Today I forgot to eat!!!
This has not ever happened in all my 55¾years!!
My daughter asked me what I had for lunch, when I realised I'd had:
Coffee with cream
A sliver of ham nicked off the granddaughters leftovers!

So for tea i had Co-op 2 Kiln Roasted Salmon Fillets in a Sweet Chilli Marinade 180g

Will weigh myself at GP in the morning. Clothes are definitely bigger!

I’ve been less hungry today, I think I’m adjusting.

Breakfast: yogurt and ham
Lunch: tuna and salad & babybel
Afternoon snack: A couple of dates for fibre
Dinner: Battered fish, broccoli, mange tout and green beans. (I know the batter isn’t keto, but it’s hot and I’m rubbish at summer food, and couldn’t think of what to cook that I had in the house.)

I’ve been drinking rooibos tea as I like that without milk. I’ll boil up a few eggs tomorrow as they’re easy to grab, at short notice.

Scales at GP surgery say I'm now below 15st!!
Started at 100.3kg, now 94.6kg. 14st12.6lbs. Lost just about a stone-ish.

Hilarious how we use stones and kg!

Can't remember when I started, maybe about 5 weeks ago.

Not sure if I'm feeling less achy, which is what the GP said should happen. But then, that's probably menopausal or side effect of atorvastatin. Ive found the aching worse with some brands, but not others.

What I am pleased about is how easy it is!! If nothing else, I'm saving money due to just eating so much less! Plus , my son has joined me and lost some of his puppy fat (he's 19 and discovered that beer contains a LOT of carbs, so is drinking much less)

Keep up the good work, everyone!

The chicken was hard going!

I bought myself some coconut water, I felt maybe it would be more 'nutritious' than plain water (of which I drink loads) but when I tasted it, it was mega sweet.
They've bloody added fructose.
Just why???

I’m not proud of my eating today. The heat is killing me, I still have an aversion to veg, and basically have no interest in food so I’m just eating the same things the whole time and reaching for sweet snacks.

Breakfast- almond milk flat white.

A keto Snickers type bar.

Dinner- sausages dipped in mustard.
Jelly with whipped cream and keto biscoff spread.

So yeah, it was keto and stayed fairly low calorie-wise, but can’t say it was a good one in terms of nutrition. Fat to protein ratio not good either.

I use it as a substitute for mayo in my dressing, I promise you barely notice 😅

I’m not even going to post what I ate today but, in my defense, I’m still hot, still tired, and clearly premenstrual. I even asked ChatGPT to stop lecturing me at one point.

Calories are under 1,300 but saturated fat is far too high, protein was low, but I did get a decent amount of fibre.

Currently ignoring my need for actually nutrition by downing a very large vodka and diet 7Up.
