@poorpawshave you ever had your insulin levels checked? Or a prediabetes check? A lot of your eating ‘behaviours’ (for want of a better word) really sound like insulin resistant, pre diabetes type things. Particularly the fact if you eat more you end up more hungry than if you eat less or nothing. It’s like when you eat a big meal, your body responds by pumping out crazy amounts of insulin which drops your blood sugars low, so you feel starving even though you have had a big meal. I am the same, I always want something sweet after a meal and after lunch that’s my worst time for feeling sleepy and rooting around the kitchen cupboards. I also have said before, it’s like I don’t taste sugar like other people do, I could genuinely eat sugar at any time of day or night, and I have no off switch
@Specialneedsnightmarethat sounds so tough, it’s hard enough to diet without a long list of things you can’t tolerate
@HazelNotHungryLCthe hard thing for me is the scales never move, not really. I am stuck at this weight (maybe a swing of a few pounds either way) and have been for as long as I can remember. I don’t actually really care about the weight anymore, but I want to shift my doughy tummy and honestly, I just don’t feel like I have a slim shape anymore.
@TalkToTheHand123how are you doing?
I went out this morning to run a long run, I did 20kms but I was struggling in the heat, I hadn’t fuelled properly and I drank last night. But it’s done. I like to weigh in after a run as I see it as my lowest possible weight, no excess water 💦 11.1 - so that’s good, although as soon as I have rehydrated it will be back on. I’m now lying in my hammock, enjoying the rays, admiring my tan and looking at my legs because, whilst I do like a whinge, they are looking pretty toned. I actually think increasing my calories has had an impact on my muscle 💪
