wwww have you tried ww?

iota · 17/01/2005 12:54

wwww - it's probaby something to do with water retention and AF - 6 lb in 2 weeks is still good - I've lost 3 lb in 2 weeks

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 17/01/2005 12:55

FFF (ooh!), no, really don't want to. Have a feeling of I really can't need someone to tell me how to add up calories and eat less and exercise more! Have a calorie counter book, scales for weighing food and myself, supportive dp, a love of walking and this thread and really think I ought to be able to manage with that tbh.

FineFigureFio · 17/01/2005 12:58

ok i just find it easier as if you are naughty you can compensate withpout feeling guilty and without being a saint iykwim

lowcalCOD · 17/01/2005 13:25

www
think you are doing fine - its ofte t eh way.

are yo eating enough though as the body shuts down if you go into starvation mode

OP posts:
weightwatchingwaterwitch · 17/01/2005 14:09

Yes, I'm definitely eating enough as I know that otherwise, weirdly, I won't lose any weight because of that starvation mode thingy. I'm comforted by Anne Widdecombe's words to Fat Andy on Celeb Fit Club 'remember, it's a marathon, not a sprint' Ah well, I will keep going and assume I'll have lost some by this Weds week. I think I'll try not to weigh myself in between now and then. Thanks.

miggy · 17/01/2005 14:15

now 9.8 aiming for 9
lost 3lb
Was bit bad yesterday-persian slow roasted shoulder of lamb, roast pots cooked in goose fat (leftover from xmas and HAD to be used) and roast veg. But no supper and only one glass wine fri/sat/sun.
Back on the wagon today.

chocfreeclary · 17/01/2005 17:13

just droppping in to say good day so far; cereal and half an apple (ds2 leftover) for brek; baked potato with cott cheese and salad - lettuce, tomatoes, pepper, beansprouts for lunch; one apple, one orange for snack.
that's all so far which is good, yeah?

ThomCat · 17/01/2005 17:29

Think i'm ready to join you now.

I'm 11 st
Aim is to be, well 9 would be nice but just under 10 would be good and more realistic for now.
I've been a good girl since about Jan 6th and seem to have lost 2 or 3 lbs so far.

Today I've eated 2 slices of wholemeal toast with low fat spread.
Lunch was vegetable soup and 2 rivitas.
Dinner will be salmon fillet, coconut rice and vegetables.

ThomCat · 17/01/2005 17:32

GreatBigFatHeiferEnid - what's that beef and prune casserole reciepe?

GreatBigFatHeiferEnid · 17/01/2005 17:37

It is very good thomcat, will post it here later - have to go to a meeting now

lowcalCOD · 17/01/2005 17:46

thommy how tall are you

OP posts:
GreatBigFatHeiferEnid · 17/01/2005 18:01

have severely picked this afternoon.

porridge

prawns, tomatoes and salad
banana

two tablespoons pasta (with butter!)
one slice malt loaf
three oat crackers
two dates

my excuse is working from home very stressful with two small children and I am about to go to potentially massively stressful meeting.

will have stir fry on return.

emmaTooMuchGrub · 17/01/2005 18:05

malt loaf is almost fat free enid.....isn't it?.......surely it doesn't deserve a face

I hope it's not bad........been having that when craving sweet things.

GreatBigFatHeiferEnid · 17/01/2005 18:05

i thought it was really fattening - didnt have butter though

emmaTooMuchGrub · 17/01/2005 18:09

my packet say 97% fat free.....go on m'dear have another slice!!!

ThomCat · 17/01/2005 19:05

I'm 5ft6 coddy.
Please don't tell me my ideal wight should be 8 stone!
I think i'll work towards losing a stone and then work at losing another stone. Losing 2 just seems too daunting.
I spent until I was in my mid 20's at 7-8 stone which was too skinny. I put on 3 stone when I was preganant, Lottie now 3 yrs old. I've always eaten exactly what I wanted too and drank shed loads of wine but it's only ever going to keep creeping up and up so need to do something about it.

lowcalCOD · 17/01/2005 19:08

welcome to middel age!
