SummerIsComingNowish · 08/04/2025 12:36

5 feet 2
CW 11 stone
GW 10 stone and then maybe another few but to get to 10 would be a great achievement for me

week 6 of gym classes and walking
day 4 calorie deficit 1500 cals
have done keto and low carb and end up doing 9-12 days then binging on chocolate for 3 days!

allowing sweet treats within my daily cals on some days

will weigh in on Saturdays if anyone wants to join too with similar amount to loose

I want to get to 10st by the May half term. Also weighing on Saturdays-I was 10st 11lbs on Saturday. I’m annoyed that so many of my clothes from last year don’t fit me very well and it all seems to be around my middle.
Good luck!

Smileymum12 · 08/04/2025 15:24

I will join you!
5ft 1.
11st 1.
Would love to be 10st my May half term!

I have started gym classes since January. I go 3 x a week.

We've got this!

KasperBells · 08/04/2025 16:07

I will join you! My normal ‘cutting back a bit’ isn’t working at all to reset my weight post Christmas and I’m fed up!
Am planning on doing 1200 cals for next week or so as a kick start and increase to 1500cals in a week or two.
I’ve bought some high protein sachets of porridge/ soups that you mix with hot water similar to lighter life but less expensive as I can’t stand calorie counting all my meals from scratch. I also do some weight training/ couch to 5K so keen to keep this up and not get my protein too low so I don’t lose muscle.

Starting weight is 63.7kg (9st 13lb)

Aiming to get to 58kg (9st 2lb) within 8 weeks and make this sustainable longer term.

Fellsbells · 08/04/2025 16:15

I’m in. I’ve got 31 days to make a big difference.

Wallabyone · 08/04/2025 17:12

I’m going to try and check in on this thread to help with motivation! I really just want to feel comfortable in my clothes again 😭

tomorrowchild · 08/04/2025 17:27

Currently 9st7 (5ft3) would love to get back down to 8st10. Going to aim for 1400 calories a day with a treat day on Saturdays. Have been picking at snacky foods lately so I really need to nip that in the bud and keep track of what I’m eating!

AdversePossession · 08/04/2025 17:29

Yes - and maintain. Getting too near 12 stone for my weight shift.

Walking and not buying crap!

SummerIsComingNowish · 08/04/2025 19:37

just realising how much I must have been eating before as 1500 cals doesn’t go very far
I’d be happy with 1pound per week loss
my 40th is summer so want to look good for that too

same here @Wallabyone its hips, waist and stomach for me!

SummerIsComingNowish · 09/04/2025 09:10

10 stone 13 this morning
scales moving in the right direction this week at least

OP posts:
KasperBells · 11/04/2025 07:51

Well Done- that’s brill!

KasperBells · 11/04/2025 07:54

I’m feeling so much better about myself now that I have a plan in place. The starting at 1200 was unrealistic though so I’ve gone to 1500 a day with lots of protein and veggies and don’t feel deprived at all. Using my fitness pal to track calories and protein which is not as onerous as I thought it would be!

SummerIsComingNowish · 11/04/2025 09:39

@KasperBells i know what you mean. I just feel shit about myself when I know I need to do something but don’t know how to start.
im keeping 1600 cals but my burn on my oura ring says about 2200 cals per day so I am thinking I'm in a 500-600 per day deficit
I’m in my period today so bloated but going to weigh in after it’s gone and hopefully be down another pound 🤞🏻

Hi I'll join you. Although I've started a couple of weeks ago. I did weigh 11 stone, 5 ft 2. This morning I'm 10st 8lb. I have a holiday in 6 weeks and would love to get rid of 8lb but not sure how achievable it is.
Congrats on your progress so far 👍

Well done, that is great progress. I think you could reach your goal is 6 weeks or pretty close- would be lovely to hear how you get on over the next few weeks- I’ll be rooting for you to get as close as you can to your goal for your holiday.

KasperBells · 12/04/2025 08:39

Have just done my Saturday weigh in and have gone from 63.7kg (10st) to 62.9kg (9st 12lb). I’m happy to see things going in the right direction and feel more in control about what I’m putting into my body than I have done in a while. With calorie counting I’ve realised that not setting unrealistic goals and loads of protein is the way forward for me.
Also realised that a lot of my ‘extra’ calories lately have been opportunistically having a cheeky latte/ wine or food when I’m out and about so that’s stopped bar the odd Americano with a bit of oat milk.

Wallabyone · 12/04/2025 10:17

Well, I’ve lost about 1lb this week-would have liked more but we had a lovely afternoon tea on Thursday which hasn’t helped! Hoping for a mid-week further drop 🤞

HayleyBean · 19/04/2025 18:05

I'll join you if that's ok?
5ft 6
10lbs 8
Ideally 10st as my target weight.
I hit the gym 5-6 times a week. I calorie count (1850 a day) and I focus on hitting my protein for too

KasperBells · 22/04/2025 23:02

My weight has been a bit up and down this week despite me sticking to my calories and protein as well as hitting my daily steps/ weight training. I know I just need to chill and trust the process but is a bit annoying!!

SnugglyJumpersMakeItBetter · 23/04/2025 11:56

I've just weighed myself for the first time since Christmas, and I've gained a stone!! I'd like to have lost it again by the start of August.

Current weight: 12stone exactly

I guess my approach will just be the bog-standard calorie deficit one. This week I'll try and keep it to 1500, next week and thereafter hopefully 1450 or fewer. I'm not great at exercise but I'll try and be generally more active.

SummerIsComingNowish · 24/04/2025 17:08

I’ve switched to keto day 2
so exhausted but I know it passes, have done it before and always felt great by week 2

Is it too late to join?? I turned 40 a few months ago and my weight has gone up by two stone in the past two yrs. I’m currently 11 stone 8 and want to (eventually) get to 10 stone. I need to stop my mindless eating and sugar intake

SummerIsComingNowish · 25/04/2025 08:11

Welcome @Sunshine2131313 you are not too late at all!

im 10 stone 12 this morning- another loss-
slow but it’s something 🙌

Just found this thread. I am 5ft 2 and 11 stone when i started 11 days ago. Hoping to get to 9.5/10. So far 4lbs off.

Been doing slimfast for breakfast and lunch and limiting portions at dinner rather than calorie counting. Did indulge on Easter Sunday but managed to resist the eggs still lying about the house since.

Been walking every day to increase calorie deficit I feel for me it is impossible to lose weight otherwise. Hope to get to goal weight over summer, definitely before winter as chances of walking then are reduced.
