Anyone want to shift a stone together

SummerIsComingNowish · 08/04/2025 12:36

5 feet 2
CW 11 stone
GW 10 stone and then maybe another few but to get to 10 would be a great achievement for me

week 6 of gym classes and walking
day 4 calorie deficit 1500 cals
have done keto and low carb and end up doing 9-12 days then binging on chocolate for 3 days!

allowing sweet treats within my daily cals on some days

will weigh in on Saturdays if anyone wants to join too with similar amount to loose

@Ellie1015 same height as me id ideally be 9 stone 8 ish but I’ll be happy at 10 stone for a while
I changed job last year and went from an active to sitting all day and also went onto a mild anti anxiety med so I think the combo had caused my weight to creep up.
under 9 stone I look on the under weight side and the hollows start appearing under my eyes so I know where I need to get to and no more!

I did not manage to resist the Easter chocolate so I had a cheat day but back on it Monday.
dont even think any of it was worth it

It has been creeping up for me too, wfh and kids getting older means i am less active too.

When you start reducing what you eat it is really surprising how much i have been eating, and how quick you can use up calorie allowance! Getting used to new routine so hopefully can keep it up for a while. No social plans this weekend so that helps a bit.

Wallabyone · 25/04/2025 16:27

Well done to all!
I weighed this morning, and I am down to 10st 8lbs…also slow but getting there.
I went out for brunch but chose an omelette and have managed to tide myself over until dinner with fruit and coffee.
Will weigh again tomorrow and hope for the best 🤞

Ellie1015 · 26/04/2025 08:03

Well done for choosing the omelette, think socialising and making healthy choices will be the biggest challenge for me.

SummerIsComingNowish · 01/05/2025 07:36

I’m still 10 stone 12 so it’s a slow process!
sticking to keto
keeping to 1600 cals or below
how’s everyone else?

I've been poorly so not been too great. I weigh myself most days and I'm up by 2lbs. Shouldn't take too long to shift as it's not 2lbs of actual fat

SummerIsComingNowish · 01/05/2025 07:46

I’m surprised I’ve not shifted more water weight this week since having low carbs- and I was having plenty seeded bread and pasta before af the odd sweet treat now nothing!

yes will just be water retention @HayleyBean
Hope you feel better soon

I am 7lbs down in total, not bad for 3 weeks. Been weighing daily and taking weekly average so I dont panic about any fluctuations and been motivating for me.

I have managed to walk over 10k steps per day, think that is key for me as being 5ft 2 makes a calorie deficit a bit of a challenge. Haven't been properly calorie counting but having low calorie breakfast and lunch then whatever the family is having for dinner with minimal snacks so I know I am eating less calories than before.

Think the walking is becoming a routine so hopefully can keep that up over spring and summer at least.

Hamiltonfan · 05/05/2025 11:59

5'4" 74kg. Have lost 0.4kg in last week. Was doing IF but couldn't cope so now calorie counting to max 1500kcal/day. I must have been eating sooo many before as I still feel hungry constantly. Also going to gym 4 days a week (but been doing that the last year and have actually gained weight). Goal weight 65kg by holiday in July. Need lots of support so I stick to this! X

Wigtopia · 05/05/2025 12:03

Bit late to the party but can I join? Have been trying to lose 5kg since February but getting no where without any accountability! I seem to be going up and down by around 1kg which is frustrating!!!

my meals are healthy, but I know I need to move more, drink more water and keep an eye on snacks between meals. Will try upping the protein to see if that helps. I don’t eat meat of fish so will work on upping beans/lentils 🙂

That is so good-well done!

My progress is very slow, but in the right direction I suppose. I weighed in at just over 10st 8lbs on Saturday, but then promptly got my period, which hasn’t been great.

bringbacksideburns · 05/05/2025 12:29

Can I join too?!!

Im sat here drinking water waiting to go for a walk with my husband. I started a diet yesterday.

It’s weird as I’ve always taken being slim for granted all my life. But bit by bit since an office based job/ Covid/Menopause/ more WFH and snacking etc I am now 12 stone 7 and 5:8.

I want to lose at least a stone by August when we are having our 30th wedding Anniversary party,

I feel sluggish, tired and very unfit.

fragrancefriend · 05/05/2025 16:18

I’ll join too if that’s ok? I’m 11st 2lbs & 5 foot 4. I’d love to lose a stone for my holiday in 8 weeks. I’m ok with food but I really need to start some form of exercise & I just cannot motivate myself.

For exercise I am walking, I put a podcast on and walk at lunch and whenever my kids are at their sports. It is easy way to burn calories and quite enjoyable this time of year.

You motivated me, thank you! I’m just back from a 90 minute walk.

Well done! I managed a walk tonight too. Hoping it shows on the scales soon. Though I did also have some Easter egg so may be a few days from now.

SummerIsComingNowish · 11/05/2025 10:31

slow and steady wins the race- keep repeating this to myself!!
10 stone 11 today
that’s averaging 0.5lbs per week 🙈 would prefer a bit faster but a loss is a loss

Well done!
Still slow and steady here too-I weighed in at 10st 6.75lbs yesterday.
We birthday celebrations today which will involve burgers and pavlova, but will try not to go overboard!

KasperBells · 14/05/2025 21:45

Well done girls with the walking 👏 God, it feels like a slow process! I have had a sinus infection over the past few weeks so have been less good at tracking/ more carbs but haven’t gone mad with the calories- weight did go up a bit but now back to where it was 2 weeks ago. I have started having more probiotic food (miso soup, sauerkraut) at lunch which I have realised are both v low in calories so will continue with them even after I stop antibiotics. Feels a bit slow with the weight loss but I know it will work with consistency.

Me too- I keep thinking to myself- trust the process and not to get too down if my day-to-day weight fluctuates and does not reflect the effort put in (like it would have done for me a few years ago- I could lose weight without hardly trying)

SummerIsComingNowish · 14/05/2025 22:10

I know I used to skip dinner a few days and loose half a stone!

Heeey :) can I join? Need somewhere to tell my numbers to 😅
I've lost 7lb so far on slimfast. I'm only 5ft 2 and my weight was 12 stone, so embarrassing. Down to 11 stone 7 now but a long way to go 🫠

Octopusespunchforfun · 14/05/2025 22:32

Me please!

Ive been having a stressful time in work at the moment and I’ve been comfort eating, a lot! I’ve put on just over a stone in a couple months 😣 (I have an under active thyroid and am peri-menopause so it goes on quick!)

I’ve been walking lots and doing weekly stint on bike and weights but it’s not shifting so need to up my game.

They say you can’t out exercise a bad diet so I know it needs to start here.

Edited to add numbers: I’m 5ft 9 and 12.8 stone, size 14. I look by best around 11-11.5.

Angrymum22 · 15/05/2025 00:15

I actually started in January and have lost just under 10kg ( 1.5 stone ish) so far. I have put on a couple of lbs over the weekend. Went on a road trip with my sister. We had a spa day then a couple of days in Cornwall. Eating was healthy but we did a lot of walking and my smart scales are showing a 2lb gain but I’ve also gained muscle mass and skeletal muscle which is good. So probably lost inches despite gaining.
I have had back problems so have done very little exercise. Now that has settled I will be doing more walking.

I did eat a whole lobster on Sunday and fish on the other days.

Its all been done by calorie deficit and I’ve settled into it well.

Before Xmas I took part in a sleep apnea trial and was diagnosed with mild/moderate apnea so this was the motivation. I’m due to go back for further tests but hopefully the weight loss has reversed the apnea sufficiently so I don’t need any treatment.

I’m 5’7” and was 91kg last Nov I’m now 82kg. I’m aiming for 72kg by the beginning of August. If I can get down to 67-68kg by Christmas I’ll be content.

HayleyBean · 15/05/2025 06:05

I weighed in yesterday at 10st 6.5lbs so almost down to my lowest ever. Then obviously sabotaged myself by eating biscoff spread out the jar last night. Such an idiot. It's my husband's birthday today so we're doing a BBQ at the weekend. I'll try and stick with CC as best as possible for it and hit the gym on Saturday&Sunday too
