Hey all,

Hope it's OK to join you.

A little bit about me, I'm 39 5ft and stepped on the scales this morning and nearly fell off when they showed 17 stone. I'm mortified. And I know exactly why
I work as a teacher full time, have my own printing business, and help my husband with his diary for his work load and I also have 2 little ladies.
My day consists of getting up around 5.30am, sort my dogs make lunch for my husband and youngest daughter for school and work.
Get my daughter and myself ready for school, husband usually leaves around 7.30/8am and myself and my daughter leave the house around 8.30. In my lunch break I walk home from school (only 5 mins away) make sure my dogs have been out and make something quick and not very healthy to walk back to work with.
When I'm home from work around 4pm, it's literally home, homework, marking, sorting my husband diary, housework, washing I'm literally non stop moving until my husband arrives home around 8pm. Exercise isn't my issue it's the food 😪 anything quick and easy, takeaway, High carb, sweet things.
I've now decided I need to sort myself out and lose the weight, I'm not happy I have no pictures of myself or me with my family since my wedding in 2022. My legs, ankles and feet ache every day after work as I struggle carrying so much weight.
It feels really good getting this all off my chest (sorry for the essay), and hopefully il start seeing some amazing results like you guys have.
Tomorrow is my start date, I've bought a fitness tracking watch, downloaded the app to keep track of my foods all I need is some motivation and sharing ideas

Welcome!

bless you, you have such a busy life.

we’re all here for you, any support you need just message us.

food is always the issue for me, I find making meals for the weeks on a Sunday really helps

Definitely meal plan ahead , pain in arse but weigh everything & track everything even down to cups of tea & coffee & sauces . Surprising how quickly those little calories add up

one treat day a week something to look forward or it’s all doom and gloom 🙈

Indierocknroller · 29/06/2025 16:35

Welcome @MrsG39I can completely relate to having a busy life and your's sounds very full on! No wonder you're reaching for quick and convenient food. I'm not quite as organised as others on here with the meal planning but I think having some quick and easy go to options has been helpful. For example having a healthy low carb wrap with lots of veg is no more difficult that making a big fat sandwich but there are much fewer calories. I also loosely follow intermittent fasting and have found not having a big bowl of cereal in the mornings give me some extra calories for lunch and dinner. I work in school too and have my first food at break time (usually a banana) and a cup of tea and honestly don't even miss breakfast.

MrsG39 · 29/06/2025 16:43

Thank you for your responses.
The worst part is I love to cook, I just don't get time
I've cooked a roast dinner today, and made a chicken salad for tomorrow's dinner, so at least when I do nip home I can hopefully eat the salad before I have to be back at school.
It will be alot easier when we're on the summer break but I don't want to wait until then, My head is in diet mode.

curvynearly30 · 29/06/2025 17:05

Yeah I make extra and always save it. The tips you’ve been given are brilliant.
must calorie count everything, make sure you calories aren’t too low.

any questions just ask us we’re all here for support !

Thanks ladies ❤️

MrsG39 · 30/06/2025 07:35

Wow well done, in just 3 weeks.
You will be in that dress in no time

MrsG39 · 30/06/2025 18:16

First day.......
woke up and its bloody boiling.

Didnt have breakfast, usually have a coffee with sugar and milk. I skipped the sugar and just had a dash of milk.

I nipped home.for lunch and ate half my salad, walked back to work with a banana.

Came home from work and made a spaghetti bolognaise for tea and also made a chilli for tea tomorrow which I'm planning to have with jacket potato

Drank so much water today due to the heat, so I'm treating myself to a nice ice cold ribena.

Hope you have all had the sunshine and a lovely day.

Indierocknroller · 02/07/2025 06:42

Just shy of 3lbs this week 😁

Wednesday weigh in 11st 9.75lbs

Next mini goal is to lose a stone...another 2.75lbs to go.

Plus, incidentally, when I very first began losing weight back in June 2023! (Before I went off the rails and put a stone back on.) I started at 15st 9lbs so if I can lose 3/4lb this week I'm back to my 4 stone loss.

Hope everyone has had a good week. Sounds like you're all doing well x

curvynearly30 · 02/07/2025 06:51

That’s amazing well done!
You’Ve got this!

you will hit that goal easy! 🥰🥰

curvynearly30 · 04/07/2025 06:33

Gained 3lbs this weeek… 😞
I took my measurements too and I’ve lost a one or 2 inches at certain areas so think the gain may be water retention. 🤞
I recently came off the depo injection so think this may have contributed.
not going to give up and throw towel in just focus a lot more this week and hopefully see a loss next week 🤞🤞

Indierocknroller · 04/07/2025 07:01

Oh no 😪 it's so hard when the numbers go up, but sounds like you are in the right head space, so well done and keep going. If there's on thing I've learnt over the last few months, it's that weight loss is definitely not linear but if you keep at it the trajectory is still a downwards one. Good luck for next week. You're doing so well x

Indierocknroller · 04/07/2025 07:02

And well done for the inch losses. I keep meaning to do my measurements and forgetting!

curvynearly30 · 04/07/2025 07:05

Thank you! I feel if I didn’t take the measurements I definitely would have spiralled by now. But I’m just keep in mind that body weight changes every day and it’s highly unlikely I have put on 3lbs 😂 xx

OP posts:
Indierocknroller · 04/07/2025 07:34

This is very true 😊 as you said it almost certainly water retention. Which measurements do you take? I'm going to make a conscious effort to take mine

curvynearly30 · 04/07/2025 07:41

thank you!
I take waist, hips, bum, chest, arms and thighs

Indierocknroller · 04/07/2025 07:54
